I like it a lot great ruin service.

I stay here a lot. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Restaurant is nice with a great selection.

We had a great stay here for 4 nights. I would recommend them if you need to stay close to the Van Nuys area without having to stay in a cheap motel. This is not a luxury hotel so dont expect much frills like bell hops it's not a big deal to carry your own stuff. It is clean and the staff is courteous and we had a quiet comfortable room. I would suggest they provide a night food service option besides vending machines or having to go out for food late in the evening.

I love it to stay on Airtel hotel the rooms are so big the view is great and the service is excellent for me was a great and I love the airplanes ✈️ on the lobby.

Our recent stay was just lovely, the staff were more than helpful and friendly. The hotel had a home away from home feel. The food was excellent, the room was clean, the pool was awesome. I loved watching the planes next door, I felt safe coming in at night. The entire premises had a warm feel about it. By far the best place we've ever stayed in the Valley and very well priced.

Dirty bed sheets not washed abviously and they gave me Handicap room without telling me, very noisy as well very bad experience all around this time.

The beds were very comfortable and the pool was super relaxing and warm. Paying for parking was a bummer and only having one cup of coffee to make for our whole hotel room was a bummer. Also not having free breakfast was a bummer…

The staff was good at check in, but failed to assist with baggage or give us Wi-Fi information. Our room seemed to have a musty odor and we could smell it while walking down the hallway so not sure if it was from cleaning products or smoke. The beds and bath were clean and adequate. Other than the aforementioned, our stay was satisfactory. Would recommend if someone needs lodging in this part of town — but would not go out of my way to stay.

My stay here wasn’t worth the money that I paid for. Although the staff was nice, I won’t return here again. I use the holiday coupon deal that was being advertised on FB for 25% off room rate and two free holiday cocktail drinks and didn’t receive them. I wasn’t too bother by that. What really bother me, was that they charged $50 for incidentals a night for your stay with them. I stayed with them for a total of 6 days for training; that would’ve been an extra $300 that I had to pay after already paying over $600 for my entire stay. (Absolutely ridiculous! )
Luckily, the hotel’s assistant manager was kind enough to not charge me the incidental fee prior to me speaking with the manager the night before my check in day and wanted to charge me $100 in incidentals instead. For the amount of money I paid for my room and how outdated and filthy it was, not worth it. Hopefully, the whole hotel gets renovated in the near future.

This is a very tired hotel. However, the worst part is that I was told that the adjacent airplanes would stop flying at 10:30PM on Saturday 8/25/18. This was a huge issue because they placed me in a room next to the airport. And jet airplanes kept flying in and out all night long. Note: I found out later from some friends that some other rooms weren't as noisy because they were further away from the airport. The jets were stressful plus they kept me up all night. I tried falling asleep starting at 11PM but I finally had to leave the hotel at approx 4AM because there was no way to sleep with jets roaring. I called the front desk several times throughout the night but I kept receiving different information about the airport. And unfortunately there weren't any available rooms to move me into. I needed sleep but there was no way to know when the planes would ever stop so this forced me to pack-up then drive several miles while paying big $ to get a last minute reservation at a different hotel. I also missed meeting some old friends for breakfast on Sunday AM because I was finally sleeping several miles away although I didn't get to sleep until close to 6AM. I was totally exhausted all day Sunday. The Airtel was the worst hotel experience I have ever experienced in my 57 years. There is ZERO chance that I would ever stay at the Airtel again even if they paid me. I contacted the front desk as I was leaving. I sure hope they don't try to charge me.

My friends were staying there and I just visited. It's surprisingly quiet which is a plus. The staff is friendly and there are plenty of food options you can either get from the hotel or have delivered very quickly. The pool is nice and so is the hot tub. The staff is very friendly as well. I'd definitely stay here if I didn't live here.

Just returned from staying in their establishment. The staff was very accommodating & courteous. However, the rooms were disgusting, well worn, humid, stains all over the carpet, walls, furniture, shower, & wallpaper. In fact, we requested a different room as the air conditioner was not functioning, our couch was torn in several places along with the above listed issues & the restroom was filthy. We were given a new room which had a bed skirt that was torn in several places and visible semen stains. Stains all over the carpet, walls & shower. No towels & dirty sink. At least the air conditioner worked. I would never recommend staying here. Motel 6 would have been cleaner.

I visited Airtel Plaza Hotel to eat lunch. The staff were very kind and the lobby and dining area were very clean. The food was served hot and was very delicious. I ate a roast beef sandwich and a chicken caesar wrap with fries. All of the food was very good. It was an overall good experience.

Nice and large room but you can hear the airport all ready. Breakfast is a bit fair in non-existent bread and pastries, lots of salty and fried Bacon: well-greasy and well-salted, which is not in our culture. The yogurt always sweet, shame not to leave the choice to customers or tourists passing to adjust to its convenience, larger containers for coffee. You will have understood, I did not like the breakfast poorly arranged, the Organization, the disposition cramped and noisy.

This may not be the most perfectly updated place, but when you fly in, and you see the effort and the history involved in keeping it up and ''flying'', you will love it. I love this airport and its association and people! One of the coolest places on earth for airplane nuts!

Love staying at Airtel Plaza! I have family in Van Nuys and it so easy and handy to get in and out of. The staff are all very friendly and helpful — couldn't be nicer. Love the terrace patio rooms, we can get take out, sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful weather and watch the planes. Everything is clean and comfortable, I plan to stay there on all my Los Angeles visits!

Very comfortable size rooms. It was perfect for our family gathering. However they were not the cleanest rooms. Very dusty and there was cobwebs in the corner of the room, window was cloudy and the curtains were really dirty. Breakfast was fair from the cafe. Pool was delightful.

I was highly impressed by the customer service! Especially Gary, he was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We will definitely return.

It's okay for small hotel. Maid service try to get into our room while we're still in there. No knock or anything it was a good thing that I locked it before hand. You have to pay for parking which is $12 +tax. And when we tried to leave our hotel ticket did not work for getting out of the hotel. When we got our room our key card didn't work. In the morning I had to Rinse out the tub because there was hair in it.

Front desk super nice. Very accommodating. Good customer service! The breakfast was excellent; good food choices and service. I would stay again based on breakfast alone.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time because a conference was being held at the hotel and had an early morning start. The hotel is old but clean and well-maintained. Staff was very friendly. Had dinner in the lounge and was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the meal was. Had the salmon and it was terrific!

Have stayed here since the 80's with National Guard Functions. TV in room 370 turns itself off and on at various intervals. But was able to keep track of the Dodger game which I appreciated the property had access. I was attending the Mopar Spring Fling and appreciated the discount. Clean, Comfortable and reasonably priced.

I went to a social event. Very clean. Very well handled everything.

Nice room and the staff was supper friendly. My son is on crutches and was having surgery the next day and they put us in a handicapped room. Made things much easier.

Very nice people here. But the rooms are old. I had to get a technician to manually set my room heater from cold to hot. Coffee maker didn't work, either, and was shorted on coffee to make in the first place. Smoking rooms next to non-smoking rooms… I could smell the smoke in my bathroom. BUT… there isn't much choice in the area if you need a hotel, so this is probably your best bet. The bar is nice; my wedge salad was buried so much in bleu cheese dressing I had to stop eating it.

Hotel is kind of old and you can tell by the decor and overall state of everything. The AC/heater unit in my room was pretty beat up. It was loud and all of the controls were partly erased. Only went down to the bar right before last call but had an awesome experience. Vlad, the bartender, was very polite and charismatic.

Front staff always gracious and acknowledge previous stays by welcoming me back. Buffet breakfast was what I needed to get me through to the afternoon. Always well prepared and great choice of items. Good coffee. Unobtrusive housekeeping staff. Everything in good repair and spotlessly clean. Room was spacious, quiet and well appointed. We always use Airtel Plaza when working at Clay Lacy next door at the airport.

Hotel was decent, staff was very helpful. You don't have a lot of choices when it comes to hotels in the area. I would suggest asking for a room street side if you are a light sleeper. The planes can be a bit loud. The hotel backs up to the airport. I would also suggest the taco truck up the street. Good stuff…

Great for conferences. Really loved the public areas; very conducive to socializing in both large and small groups. Rooms were "no-frills", but adequate. Would have liked a USP charge station in the room. Also needed a chair or bench (besides from the office chair on wheels! ). Difficult (for me, a short person) to put on socks in that rolling chair. Must acknowledge employee Jorge in the breakfast buffet area. So nice to be greeted with his smile, energy, attention and seemingly happy to be of service/assistance. He was a great way to start my day and most the memorable part of my stay.

Good restaurant, spacious rooms, unfortunately the aircon is a bit noisy.

I am really enjoying my stay at Airtel Plaza Hotel. The staff is fantastic, the fitness room, conference rooms, and courtyards are well kept. The breakfast buffet is delicious but you have to get there early. The shuttle is free, and there are a variety of food options nearby as well as food options in the hotel. The room was nicer than I expected, however they lost a star after someone in house keeping has put already open coffee supplies in my room every day I have been here.

The room is not extremely luxurious, but I am close to the fitness center. The food is delicious and rich in flavor from the restaurant they have. Definitely have to be an early bird for the breakfast buffet. I enjoyed the coffee. They also have a coffee and lunch based counter in the lobby. I am here for training and the ballroom we are using is comfortable and very nice looking. The shuttle service is so polite and welcoming. (Just make sure to keep their number on hand! ) Make sure to bring water to the room. They have bottles there, but it will add $4/bottle you open to the room cost. I do not have a room with a fridge, but I overheard someone say you can get one put into your room for $25/night.

We waited for a the hotel shuttle at the Flyaway station which never showed for 45 minutes. We took an Uber to the hotel and told them about the shuttle, but they claimed they drive there and didn't see anyone to pick up and would not take any responsibility. The hotel has stained walls in the bedroom, but it's somewhat expected with an older hotel. Pretty clean otherwise. No microwave, fridge or safe. Pool is nice.

Visited the bar (b/c restaurant closed early) on Xmas eve & received really excellent service. Seafood soup had plentiful portions of meat and the entrées were flavorful. Atmosphere was sedated and intimate for company to feel relaxed and as if at home eating a meal.

Upon arrival, Gary greeted us warmly, and made my wife and I feel like special guests. Our room was wonderful, and the staff (including Luis) did their best to make us comfortable. We had a great stay!

The rear bldg. Seems isolated and a bit rundown. Not a lot of room frills and the plumbing needs attention; faucet handles, shower pressure. Ice machine only on 1st floor. No access to stairway from exterior. Elevators were very slow. Parking seemed expensive with the surplus of spaces. Maid service and room service were prompt. I would only recommend for main building.

Staff is the best. They are extremely friendly and tried to accommodate all my needs. The renovated room was nice except for the smell of orange. (Must be a cleaner that housekeeping uses… horrible) I liked having a fridge and I like central AC versus below the window unit. I also found the food to be delicious. Room service was amazingly fast and friendly. Weird for a hotel that they don't lock the outside doors so anybody can roam the halls.

Nice location, reasonable pricing. Rooms could use a update. Staff could be more helpful at this location. We needed towels and face cloths and since housekeeping was closed. For the night (8pm). We were advised we had to wait until the morning.

The staff were very helpful and informative. The room was clean and the plane noise was not as bad as I expected. This hotel is 3 stars due to age and upkeep. The rooms could use new carpet amd paint to help the older smell. Even though they are smoke free, I could still smell rooms with current smokers as I walked passed and the lobby also smells of ancient cigarettes. The switch plates in the rooms are stained fom cigarettes over the years. These are cheap to replace. The little things are what earn two more stars for a 5 star rating. The rooms definitely could use deodorizers between visitors. Overall, 3 stars for a 3 star hotel. Service was 4 stars. Parking was not that bad and they were very upfront about the process. This is a seedy area and I am thankful for the gates.

I was quoted 169.00 for one night. If I wanted breakfast, the revised price became 191.00 for the 3 of us. When I received by bill that was slipped under the door, the new price was 231.00 and change. I was told that I had to pay for parking $12.00 and occupancy tax, another $26.46 charge. I will not be back to the Air-Tel, I feel they took advantage of me. Room was nice and food was good, but price for one night… quite excessive. I will be looking for accommodations elsewhere next time.

Gary at the front desk is SUPER nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and tidy. We had a great time!

Very clean, spacious. Friendly faces on check in and at Clippers Cafe. Great view. The on-site cafe is full service offering 3-shot lattes and the usual cafe fare with breakfast options as well saving an eight-minute drive to Starbucks. It is directly beside an airport. This is noted for those who book things in a hurry and don't check out location; the planes are noisy of course. That said, Airtel Plaza Hotel gets five star for cleanliness and staff, cafe, pool, fitness room and, during sleep hours, very quiet. A huge thank you to all staff.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the amenities are easy to access. The four stars is mainly for the not particularly effective air conditioner and the mile and a half it took to walk to my room. I'm not saying I'm opposed to walking, I'm just saying that most hotels economize the distance from the elevator to the room.

The hotel itself is quaint and the room is reasonable (for the price we paid) and adequate, although the pillows are awful. The pool looks great but they played music that was loud and obnoxious, so we decided not to swim. Its seems very odd to not consider all your guests if you are going to play music! The A. C. Is quite loud too in the room but at least it works.

Professional, friendly staff throughout the hotel. Room serviced promptly every morning: I'd leave for breakfast and come back to a clean orderly room… Impressive. Not much need to leave the hotel for dinner, both venues offer good fare and relaxed setting.

I soon as we got to the hotel, representative was professional and provided good service. Room was clean and food was good. Good breakfast and dinner. Excellent parking. Never had any problem even when we stayed at the hotel last year. Just excellent Hotel to stay. I will recommend to my friends and families. I give it a 10.

Cockroaches. In the lobby and by the vending machines. We notified staff and they simply shrugged it off. POOR customer service. Dirty pool and hot tub. Took room service an hour to bring up some towels. DO NOT recommend please don't waste your money here we will definitely not be coming back.

Side doors were unlocked and unstaffed after 1 a. M. On a Friday night. At 3 a. M. When I wanted a snack, there was no staff anywhere to be seen during the very long trek from my room to the front desk. Having seen to adult males, presumably guests, again I felt unsafe as a woman. The men didn't do anything, it was just the concept that nobody would've heard me had they been "bad guys". At that point, I felt like I was in the Overlook Hotel in the movie, "The Shining" because I felt so unsafe. Even the person behind the front desk was busy inside the office, although the staff member did come out immediately when I said, "hello? ", and was very friendly and helpful. The staff member gave me change so that I could use the vending machine. The vending machine's offerings were very limited. Very disappointed. I am extremely disappointed that I had to walk all the way to the front desk only to find such meager snack offerings. There were soda machines close enough by my room for me to feel comfortable going from my room to the soda machine, but I felt very unsafe walking from my room all the way to the front desk for a snack without seeing a single staff member. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked great, even in this very hot summer night. But the towels are tiny and rough, and there were only two. Most hotels start you off with three — of far better quality.

Beautiful rooms, bar and place in general. The rooms as sound proof enough not to hear the planes taking off but you can see them from your window. Great stiff drinks too. Amazing comfy beds are always a plus!

The whole whole hotel smelled musty. There were random blacked out doors that just didn't look right no room number painted all black. They also had doors that looked like they had been kicked in with shady looking locks on the outside… just weird vibes. The rooms were clean. And staff was very friendly. And the lobby, bar and were nice hangouts. It was just the hallways that had a ready shady look and vibe.

Had a great time here, staff was super nice and accommodates everything. I needed a microwave and the guy at the desk microwaved my food for me. Totally awesome. Bar was great and burgers are definitely a great. Pool and hot tub were also pretty awesome. Thanks.

Update 01/01/17: After speaking to front desk about the room, they sent a maintenance person to check it out. It took him less than 2 minutes to see the room and say it was "out of service. " They moved us to a patio room across the hall and it was was in good condition, and nicely laid out. They offered complimentary Sunday breakfast buffet, unfortunately we had plans couldn't use them. And, they did give a small discount on the rate. The staff did a good job on handling the situation. What a dump. Toilet tank barely attached. Ceiling plaster falling down due to water damage. Broken light fixtures. Besides the bed there was only a desk chair and old small love seat with a dark slip cover. No black lights please. More like NoTel motel than AirTel Hotel. We got a room with a patio and "spa". The hot tub was little more than an oversized bathtub. There were only two regular size bath towels and no robes. No extra blankets or pillows either. Heck there wasn't even a guest book about place. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

Nice place to stay our son and our 16 yr old niece loved the view of the airplanes at night time from our room also all the staff are friendly buffet breakfast is good the pool need to be kept up other then that if I ever had to return to Van Nuys I would come back to this hotel.

I had only been inside one of the conference rooms but from what I saw it was nice. It's near the airport so the theme was airplanes with different planes on display. It was really neat if you're into that.

Only on my second night of ghree here, but the service is pretty nice and the housekeeping does a very good job. I appreciate their efforts to conserve energy and water. Beds are kinda stuff, but that's just a personal preference kinda thing. Haven't tried any of the food, but the coffee they offer is pretty good.

The first time I stayed here somebody was climbing up and down the balcony trying to get into the rooms and they didn't even have them removed from the property because they were a guest and to boot my card was improperly charged so they refunded the money it took a few days and a bunch of phone calls upon promising me that if I stayed again I would have a different experience I called and made reservations with Gary the manager who promised me a $99 rate for a two-bedroom room and $159 for the Terrace Spa room I was told at check in I would only be charged $50 per room for deposit on my card I was charged $233 twice which consume all the money I had on my debit card then they tell me if I pay cash but all the money will be returned to my card which was a complete lie so now they have all of the money off of my card and $300 in cash coming out for a total of almost $900 thank you Airtel Hotel Plaza great place to stay if you can afford all the financial mistakes oh and be sure and lock your doors nice beds and sheets though.

Took our first family trip to LA with 3 teenagers… Hotel was very nice and amazingly close to the list of places on our itinerary… The paid parking although expensive, gave us a complete sense of security… There was free Wi-Fi, movie channels, and a nice pool area near the bar which gave the kids plenty of entertainment while I watched comfortably with drink in hand… Hotel is located Next door to a private plane hanger, which I didn't mind the sound of the planes, and personally found it fascinating conversating with the piolets. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would absolutely make arrangements to stay again… Thank you for a fabulous experience!

The hotel is kind of neat looking inside and out, with an obvious aviation theme. It is clean and has plenty of space, but everything about it feels like a knock off of a high end convention center. They were kind enough to provide me with a fridge after I asked, but the floors in the room are slanted and I had to prop a book under it so the door would open. Fridges are standard at many hotels, shouldn't even have to ask. Anyway, 3 stars isn't meant to be a bad rating, it's just a very average experience rather than that at, say, the LAX Marriott. Breakfast is pretty solid, though, even if not free.

Horrible experience. The front desk staff was not very friendly. We did not get free breakfast even though they said it would be free. You have to pay 12 a night to park. They charge you for every little thing. I would not recommended this place to anyone.

We went for happy hour. They have a nicely setup lounge area decorated in 1950s still Asian flare. The service was good and the waitress was nice. The food is good but nothing special. It is a nice place to meet up.

Clean, decent internet. Guest across the hall from me apparently snuck a dog into the hotel, which barked. But good enough stay for flight crew into Van Nuys.

Absolutely loved this hotel and definitely if in the area I would book again. The staff was super accommodating from start too finish… Price was very reasonable. Thank you!

Upon arrival, my reservations were not on file, I was asked for my reservation number, but the demeanor of the staff was though I was a bother for their error. The reservation number was provided and they released a room to me. My first room smelled of mold and mildew, I asked to be moved specifically to new bldg, because based on the pictures on the website I was expecting the comfort of that room. None were available so I was moved to a different room same bldg. I felt like I was in a 1980's room with no update since that time, horrible lighting, old furniture, smelly carpet, horrible. I asked for the new available vacant room in the new bldg, in which I witnessed several purple checking out from that bldg, followed up every morning about the room change and followed in the afternoon and received the same your bothering me response. Only room 368 is available. Please do not be fooled by the pictures on the site, these rooms may be available, but that's only if you are placed in that bldg, and the alternative is a far stretch to the comforts that appear on their site. In addition, my do not disturb hanger was placed on the door day 2 of my visit and I return with the hanger back on the inside of the room when I called to report it, the front desk told me they would get back to me. I have checked out and home for a couple days, and still no contact.

I recently found that I will be in Van Nuys CA. one night per month for a long time. My first visit to Airtel was o. K. There were a couple of small glitches like the housekeeping not doing their work too thoroughly. I calmly spoke w/ Brian when I checked out about the housekeepers and apparently he did nothing. Before I arrived this month I called and spoke with Angela about housekeeping and she made sure my room was very clean and everything was in perfect order. Beautiful clean room in a great location. Thank you Angela.

Very nice hotel. Especially for price. Pros:Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very clean. Not new, but certainly clean. Wi-Fi is extremely fast. Watched streaming videos with no buffering or interruption. Bed is very comfy. Cons: Parking cost is a bit steep. Breakfast buffet is ok but nit worth $16. Airport is right behind hotel. Can be a bit annoying to some. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone staying in the area or flying out of Van Nuys. 4.5 stars (minus. 5 for age and parking/breakfast prices)

Nice place comfys beds but the parking is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of $12 a day and anytime u wanna leave for food or anything u get charged. I was charged $2 after checking in and went to get food. Stupid makes no sense. Never have I ever experienced a hotel with such stupid parking and I travel for a living!

Friendly service, they make it easy for those under 21, and the deposit isn't too much ($50 extra a night which is returned after a couple weeks or so). However, the $12 charge plus tax for parking and $16 extra per person for breakfast is annoying. We stayed in room 151, it smelled of cigarettes even though this is a "smoke free" hotel. No mini fridge was unfortunate. Plugs were loose so my charger fell out over night. Carpets were stained and worn out, the room just needed an overhaul. It was also right next to an airport, so it was really loud when outside, but you couldn't hear it very easily when in the room, especially over the noise of the AC unit. A good thing is the beds were clean, and everything worked.
