At the bar and restaurant, they rush you in and out. The waiters and maitre d were unfriendly and not helpful.

A truly elevated and glamorous restaurant and bar. Incredible food and service, and you are likely to have a star siting.

We enjoy dining for breakfast and lunch at The Tower Bar. Beautiful space and view. The entire team, especially Barbara and Angel always make it special!

The entire MGMT was so gracious with Covid-19 precautions and got us a pool side set up and the staff was amazing AF. The hospitality is 2nd to none… highly recommend! Best, ~R.

Every time a stay here, everything about it is just about perfect. The design, the service, the other guests, and just the warm feeling of being at both at home and at the same time almost in a movie set of a private club from a a bygone era of glamour and discernment.

I had a terrible dinning experience. Too crowded. Even if you have dinner reservations. They cannot accommodated. 45 mins later they sit you on the section where you have breakfast in the morning. So loud and you can not have a decent conversation. The blond hostess Ashley and David the manager negative aptitude. I m very disappointed about this restaurant. I never come back again. Poor service!

My sisters brought me here for a surprise birthday weekend. The staff was helpful and always available.
Morning coffee in the lobby was friendly and relaxed.
The hotel is beautiful and the views spectacular! Wonderful restaurants within walking distance. It’s a modern way to experience LA with the feel of old Hollywood!

Came for dinner, they sat us in the area where there was not one other person and zero view, it was extremely dark and grim. We were about to leave when "suddenly a table opened up with a view" The whole place had all of 20 people (including the staff). We were told all those tables were taken initially and it would be packed in a few minutes. Nope, not one person in that room when we left an hour and a half later. Were we supposed to have dinner all alone in that dark room? Very strange. There were diners wearing shorts & sandals, t-shirt, jeans, etc. I was surprised by this, definitely not what I'd expect from a classy, beautifully historic art deco ambience. The sliders were good, everything else was very mediocre and overpriced. I was not impressed.

The staff goes over and above to make sure each guest has a wonderful stay. The rooms are super clean, neat, stylish, and has a historic look. If you’re looking to experience old Hollywood, I highly recommend Sunset Tower Hotel in the heart of West Hollywood. It has the feel of being in a movie. Built in 1929, it is the first hotel in CA to be built earthquake resistant. I was moved by the hotel manager, Luis Saldana.

Small beautiful pool. Excellent food in restaurants. Great wine menus. Service is hit and miss. Great penthouse for parties — epic wrap around patio.

We had a fabulous meal here. The dining room was beautiful, the views were wonderful and the warm fragrance of fresh lilies wafted through the air as we were led to our table. The service was terrific, the piano player was playing at the appropriate volume, Gaby came to our table to make sure everything was perfect and the steak was the best I’ve had lately (and we’ve been to the best steak places in LA). It couldn’t have been better!

It was a great bar with phenomenal drinks. Unfortunately it was a little bit more on the pricey side but otherwise the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend going there even if it is for just one drink.

The Tower Bar is an excellent choice for dinner and drinks on Sunset Blvd… The cocktails are amazing and worth every penny. Dinner was excellent (Try the filet mignon and cheeaecake, probably my favorite in LA) Setting is beautiful and piano player is a nice touch.

Stopped here for lunch one day with a friend. We both had a starter and main course salad and they were superb. Great vibes, really relaxing terrace looking at the pool and out to the city. Expensive but worth the money.

It is a very cosy place, which refers to the years 60 for its decor, ambiance, music and an amazing view. Even with a pianist playing live! Bad food and very expensive. I recommend having a snack.

Exquisite food in a ambient lounge atmosphere! Would highly recommend you do is you can get a reservation. The chicken was wonderful!

Gorgeous hotel. Beautiful restotante. Over 10 years we had a tradition to go the for our wedding anniversary & order "seafood tower". Expencive, but it worth it.

One of my top favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. Love the history. Very happy it's still here. The beds are the best! You just sink right in for a good night sleep. The resturants and views are magical. Feel at home here.

Awesome bar. Bartenders now how to make their drinks. Won't mention names, but they make the best chocolate martinis & lemon drops. Us girls love them!

I only had breakfast here but I really liked the hotel lobby and the food was really good. Eggs were perfectly cooked.

My daughter and I went to this classic locale for a drink. We were not disappointed. The service was accommodating and made us feel like we were the only people at the bar. Beautiful views and it luxurious surroundings. Definitely would recommend for a drink or for a meal. Very atmospheric, old Hollywood at its finest.

Pretty art déco high-rise on Sunset. The rooms and suites could be upgraded, the food was fine. Face south for best views and never get a room facing the strip… unless you like incessant noise far into the night.

We had dinner in the lobby, same menu as the restaurant. Everything was brilliant: atmosphere, service, food… all worth every penny. A romantic and wonderful place.

Had dinner here with three friends last week. The experience was nothing like the last time. One of the group ordered a mescal cocktail not on the list. We described what we were looking for. And whilst that is open to interpretation, we did explain what we normally like in a mescal drink. When the drink cane, it was awful and too sweet. And the ingredients we asked for were in it. When we asked the waiter (Luis) to please change it. He said "you want a mescal drink, that's what that tastes like". He was incredibly rude. We had to ask him 4 times to change it. This never happens, proper bars simply change the drinks and keep the customer happy. Additionally, the food took almost an hour to get to the table and we had plans that night so it made us run late. We won't be going back for some time. A real shame.

Loved the ambiance, the history, views and charm so much! The ice cream sundae dessert menu didn't suck either. Recommend the Tower Bar, where people are socializing without cell phones, a wonderful throwback. Wish I knew of a similar place in NYC. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are great, s'all good man. This place is the very definition of hospitality.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely old world charm. Room was large and comfortable with great views. The hotel has a really nice bar with very good cocktail, a great place to sit and people watch.

Certain hotels have a feel to them. It's an intangible quality that is hard to put your finger on, but it usually starts with the staff and emanates from every corner of the property. Sunset Tower is full of this special feeling. It's fabulous without being pretentious, comfortable and casual yet also full of luxury. Every detail is considered and executed perfectly. There is truly no reason to leave the hotel once you have checked in. Order in breakfast on your terrace before proceeding down to the pool for a day in the sun with a view of the entire city before showering up and spending the entire night at the Tower Bar. A world of its own, the Tower Bar is everything the rest of LA wishes it could be.

Really neat and interesting hotel. The rooftop outdoor space and restaurant offered amazing views. I loved the different artwork throughout the hotel and in the rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable for our weekend stay for a wedding. The elevator was very slow, but it was an older hotel so that was to be expected.

A solid place to stay. I was midway through my road trip in California and decided to stay here because all of the other hotels that popped up in my Google search sounded generic. While this place is part of Marriott it's quite unique. First of all, the hotel itself was built in the 1930s which is cool. Then I learned that they have this amazing organic earth friendly bar/restaurant literally in the building which has amazing food, drink and breakfast which are all reasonable. I paid about $250 for a room on the 8th floor all in, but it was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very nice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. That is, the next time I find myself in Sacramento.

My wife and I had a great time at the Sunset Towers pool. It felt like a little staycation. We treated ourselves to brunch and a pool day in the hot California sun.

Fun kitschy Andy Warhol inspired George Washington paintings and other GW decor Free wine happy hour daily! Awesome leopard and zebra robes in every closet! Friendly desk staff. Very cool hotel but could use more attention paid to room cleaning, I had a pillow that had a pink stain on it and there was a brown makeup stain on the bathroom wall when I arrived.

It's on sunset boulevard the entrance to get in very tight and very hard to find parking very busy street.

I am and would recommend Sunset Tower Hotel to Friends near and far.

The service wasn't the best, I got a small and run down room and when I complained they reluctantly upgraded me to a more expensive room. Didnt tell me they were charging me extra and found out the hard way.
