I've stayed here 1 night and also came here for work conferences during the day a couple of times. The rooms are rather large, more like a residence inn. The restaurant is actually surprisingly good for lunch (haven't had dinner). The fish tacos are great! The pool is very nice although pretty shielded from the sun. Nice area to walk around the pond with the segerstrom center for the arts and South coast plaza nearby.

Ok, it's nice. Really quite nice. Nice suite rooms. The grounds are VERY pleasant. Pools are beautiful and the restaurants good. Maids are competent, but the beds are just a bit too hard on my knees and hips. I guess I just got used to those Sheraton beds!

Great hotel in a great location t a reasonable price. Rooms were very clean, and you are within walking distance to a lot of great dining spots.

Incredible customer service. There was an issue with the parking garage not reading the room key and the front desk people were really wonderful taking care of us with all of that. Nice spacious rooms. Very helpful staff all the way around.

Staff was friendly especially Fred the kitchen supervisor. Rooms were perfect and comfortable. Call them directly to see what special deals they have. I think I got a great rate that included parking and breakfast buffet for 2. Easily saved big money on that. I would recommend this hotel and also stay here again.

Very nice grounds. Lots within walking distance food shopping ect. Balcony was nice. Food vs cost of food was not great so no fifth star but other than the cost of the bar/restaurant nice place… just take advantage of everything near by instead of food or alcohol on site and your golden.

Really enjoyed my stay here. This Marriott was clean, well maintained and had the best shower heads of any hotel. I know that sounds weird, but they were placed high, and the water pressure was great.

Beautiful hotel! Especially loved going outside in the lake area on walks in the mornings. Rooms were very comfortable and the beds felt like heaven. Definitely will stay again next visit.

I loved the treatment of the workers and the food is delicious.

Very comfortable hotel with outdoor pool and beautiful landscaping. Suites type rooms with very comfy beds. Highly recommend this hotel. Great breakfast with made to order omelets.

Great location near South Coast Plaza, basically you can go any direction and have fun stuff to do. The rooms are all suites, but it's either a king and a pull out or 2 doubles and a pull out. Who wants to share a double bed, ever? I love my wife but let's face it, we need our rest. For a family of 4, it feels tight. The amenities are nice, outdoor pool, well appointed gym, bar and a breakfast restaurant with choice of a buffet or make to order menu. Prices are reasonable but not great. Staff is pleasant but hit or miss depending on the person. Might have chosen another place we're it not for gold status and it's perks with Marriott.

When the fires came close to our house in August, we had to evacuate. This was the second hotel we tried to get into. Not only did they have nice rooms available, they management charged us a very reasonable rate, We did not know when we would be allowed to go back home, and if that time would coincide with mandatory check-out time. However, it did not matter, because management allowed us to keep the room or to leave later, as we needed. We got to go home at 6:30 pm, and the front desk was very nice about the late departure. We will certainly recommend the Costa Mesa Marriott to any of our friends who come in to visit from out of town. Thanks very much!

The hotel is great! But the costumer service is even better! I came here the night of my wedding, we are locals and we just wanted a night away for getting married so we book a hotel room, nothing crazy but my wife must have said something to the people working while we were booking it because when we showed up late that night we were on the top floor in the biggest room they had and with a great view. Coming in and out of the hotel we were greeted and congratulated for the wedding. Everybody was so nice and went above and beyond from what was expected. Thank you so much to the crew working there! We will come back!

This hotel was given to us by a friend as a anniversary gift. When we arrived a valet parked our car for us; so nice! Then upon checking in we were checked in fast and up to our room we went. There was a nice handwritten note on the desk with a little Welcome message from housekeeping. The room itself was nice. Bed was soft, bathroom was sparkling clean. About 15 min after our arrival there was a knock on the door with a delivery of complimentary strawberries with chocolate & caramel dip, chopped walnuts and shredded white chocolate. When we arrived back from our dinner, they had turned down the bed and left some roses on our pillows. Robes and slippers waiting for us along with the radio set to the LOVE channel. It was a nice surprise.

Room was nice. Could tell it was outdated, but they are remodeling in a year. Decent service. Front desk associate basically called my girlfriend fat by buying candy. All in all would stay again.

Family and pet friendly hotel. Clean rooms, helpful staff, and decent breakfast with a make to order chef. Nice experience all around.

Only knock against this place is parking isn't free. Everything else from customer service to the continental breakfast we're perfect. We'll definitely be back.

0 stars would be more appropriate. The beds are AWFUL. The sheets weren't clean looking. The towels are like sand paper. There was dirt on the wall. To top it off the guest services worker led to my face about the breakfast I was overcharged for, first saying it was only cold breakfast. Then changing her story to say of was a tip, 18% for a buffet, for two people in our party!

Horrible customer service by management. We stayed 2 nights but scheduled and prepaid for 3 nights. LOUD construction right next door to the hotel and there was a what could have been a fight maybe? in the room next door to us the first night. We had the kids with us so all they heard was curse words and loud banging noises after us being awake at that point for over 20 hours of travel. The 4 of us somehow slept on a sofa sleeper to try to get away from the loud noise next door. We had 0 sleep the first night & managment apologized and offered the kids ice cream? we left a day early due to the constant loud noise very early morning the next day and the disturbing noises in the next room to us the 1st day. WORST experience ever for us. If you want rest and decent service stay elsewhere. What they fail to tell you is they are doing construction in the building right next door to hotel and they start by 7am in the morning. EMAILED MANAGEMENT and have yet to hear from anyone.

Great room, great service. Things are tailored to make your experience more comfortable and more convenient. Microwave and ice machine on our floor. French doors segregating king bed and lounge.

Not a good expirence, checked out and moved hotels. Very old interior, not up to par for a Marriott.

I'm a Marriott rewards member and this Marriott does not stand with the many I've stayed at. They do not have a shuttle anymore, sad. The one and only breakfast I had was overpriced and food not good, sadder. The pool is heated only to 75°. My room was nice, hard to regulate the AC and heat. $2. To wash a load of laundry and $2. To dry. Other than that, not too bad.

I rarely stay at Marriott's. This was simply because of a training function hosted here. In my opinion, it's seems like the company invests most of their money into the lobby area to give you a great first impression. Our room had a pill on the floor which luckily we discovered right away and not one of our young children. There was also a cockroach in the room. The pool was pretty dirty as well.

Conrad at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Kind, helpful and had the best customer service we have had in a very long time! And the front desk area smelt so fresh and amazing!

The hotel has a nice aesthetic. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable — medium firmness. I liked having the separate living area from the bed The bathroom was nice.

Conrad at the front desk was extremely helpful, friendly, and caring when we needed anything. The facility is clean, modern, and we'll kept. I'd stay there again if I had to be in Costa Mesa.

All suite hotel which is nice. Buffet breakfast is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Note that parking is $27/day with in/out privileges. South coast plaza is a mile away with high end shopping and lots of dining options.

Beautiful hotel. Nice pool area. Wish the fire pits had been working. Also I understand paying for parking just wish there was a heads up or a selection to pay when we booked the room. The price seems a little steep as we are staying in the hotel. All in all great hotel.

Not enough towels in the room. Asked for more and had to call again in the morning to finally get more towels. No towels at the pool for swimming. Front desk said they would get towels to the pool in half and hour when I asked about them. They sure made me feel like I was asking for something above and beyond. Very disappointing for a Marriott!

Nice big clean rooms. Great view of the pool and lake from our room. It was really easy to check in and all the staff was friendly.

Clean room perfect size comfortable bed. Excellent stay here.

Facilities were adequate. Room in good repair. Surprised that a full-fledged Marriott didn't have valet parking or bell staff. All staff that I encountered were friendly and engaged. The hotel is in a good location for access to attractions in the area. Fine property however it doesn't stand out among the competition in the area area. I may consider staying there again based on price.

The staff at this hotel was very friendly. The rooms are very clean but the decorations a little dated. The pool is heated which was really nice in March. Parking on site was in a gated structure very close to the hotel. This hotel is near John Wayne Airport but not close enough or in the flight path where noise sounds be an issue.

They charged for Wi-Fi, which is kinda lame. It was just another marriott, really.

A bit dated and without some amenities. Like concierge lounge. On the positive, an all suites property.

We had a great weekend. The room was perfect for me, my wife, and 2 infant daughters. The staff was very accommodating, the grounds were well-kept, and the room was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we're back in the area.

Tired run down, expensive. Humid musty room with AC that just blew cold damp air. Dated, cheap scratched furnishings with tacky 1990s mirrored wall over bed. $24 for self parking in garage without even an elevator. Priced over $200. No Marriott platinum lounge. So much wrong, so little space. Stay anywhere else!

Nice location for the area, pretty poor for a full-line location. 1. Terrible parking situation. Mandatory self-park (no valet) in a four story parking garage that isn't attached and has no elevator. It's also very expensive per day, but at least had ins and outs. If you arrive late or return late, you're parking on the top floor and climbing stairs with your bags. You also must exit out the other street and drive around to load up. Terrible if you are in a hurry. 2. Older rooms, older TVs, weird room layouts. I didn't get a shower curtain, just the cloth liner. I asked for one and it never showed up, so it got pretty wet every time I showered. 3. If you work night projects, you'll hate the daily leaf blowers and yard work waking you up. 4. Self service laundry was overpriced and they did not give complimentary detergent like Courtyard locations. I would recommend trying another Marriott brand nearby but I don't have a personal recommendation. The enhanced Wi-Fi was above average for Marriott properties, over 10 megabit. I'm Marriott Gold and stay at dozens of locations every year.

Stay here quite often always a pleasure staff is fantastic.

I love this hotel me and my family come here once a year to relax do some shopping, eat and play highly recommend this hotel, we r actually getting ready to go back for our yearly trip.

Just had 10 days at this hotel. We booked three rooms and had a great time. Close to shopping and not far from Disneyland. Great pool for adults and children and hardly anyone using it. Food in the restaurant was excellent especially the fish tacos We will be back.

Everything was exquisite with our stay. The staff was exceptional in aiding me and my family have care free stay. Highly recommend to any and all staying in Costa Mesa.

Had a superb stay here in April 2014; rate for a top quality room was great bargain; staff was friendly and helpful; grounds are a garden.

Nice hotel, but worst parking ever. They try to squeeze too many cars in, which means you are almost guaranteed a door ding and that silly "everybody get out of the car now because I can't leave enough room to open doors on both sides. " And that's for $21/day. Breakfast was nice — — buffet, but you could custom order omelettes and things — — and the pool was beautiful.

Nice hotel. The rooms are all two room suites with a frig which makes it very nice. The employees are super friendly and even remember your name if you're here for more than a week.
