On June 13th me, my daughter and her best friend went to pipers because I wanted a beer in the sun. We did not get served, not even once. Never was asked if we wanted anything, and was ignored… We watched each waitress walk by us asking other customers are you okay do you need another drink… n each time I had to say I want a beer. We stayed for 2 n by the time I got my 3rd we were just bout out the door. I ssid no I dont want it you took to long I will pay now… Anyway this just came to me because my parents just left there for the same reason… sad we get treated this way at our corporations hotel!

I would recommend Coast International in Anchorage due to the closeness to the airport, the staff and the shuttle service. As far as the room, that is questionable for the price you pay. First of all, there are two floors and no elevator. The carpet leading up to the section I was in was horribly stained. The room was okay, but very warn. You could hear everything from the other rooms, doors slamming, showers running and the planes taking off. The side door leading to the parking lot had a sign for hotel guests to use their room key to enter, but there was no keypad or lock on the door. It was hard to find the driveway into the hotel from Aviation Ave since it was a crushed rock drive.

The service could improve. The restaurant/bar service is atrocious. Seriously, we get that you hate your jobs but we didn't give them to you. Be better at your craft.

Excellent customer service, rooms are clean, love the pillows. Restaurant serves excellent food! Free shuttle to the airport.

A little older, no extra perks. Very clean, comfortable and close to the airport. The food at the attached restaurant was decent. Totally will stay there again.

Four stars due to absence of elevator, good in all other ways. Clean rooms, comfy bed, delicious restaurant. Try the steak bites appetizer!

Good place to stay. Airport shuttle was super chill, they brought me back and forth several times so I could have a beer with my co workers waiting for their flight out. All the regular amenities, nice clean room, and a guy to help you carry your bags. I didn't use all the amenities so I can't really rate them but Im sure they were fine. Breakfast was decent enough, all the waitresses were really focused on cleaning up some tables even though it wasn't that busy. They were not very attentive. They made a small error on my order. With that being said, they were still very nice people! They also gave me a coffee at the bar after I was checked out and was waiting for a ride. I would stay again.

This hotel is massive, it goes on forever. Stayed here in August of 2018 and had no problems during our 4 night stay. This hotel has definitely seen better days but it was very comfortable and quiet. The beds and pillows were nice and the continental breakfast was great. I didn't really notice much noise from the nearby airport.

Was here for one night and it felt like an eternity. Pretty ghetto hotel being in a nice part of Anchorage. The staff acts like they really don't care. Neighbors are very accommodating by being quite loud into the morning hours. Do not go here just because it's right next to the airport, the 10 min drive is totally worth it.

Great staff great food. Rooms just so-so. Clean but the pillows smelled bad and the sheets/blankets are paper thin. All in all I'd stay there again its decent value for the price.

We moved after our first night. Everything seems to be soiled. Carpet in the hallways, bathrooms, and carpet in our room. The way I look at it is if everything you see is dirty, what condition are the things you can't see in? Oh yeah, and the sounds travel very well through the walls.

Stayed in May, room seemed dirty, no fridge, no microwave. I won't stay there again.

Excellent hotel that is close to the airport. That being said… it's not close to downtown. Expect to pay extra for cabfare to go to town.

Close to airport. The restraint is highly rated the rooms are dated and well used. Not my first choice in accommodations.

Conference room was clean, had to buy my own coffee but they do a decent latte.

This place is more than I was expecting it to be. I'm not talking about money wise. The price is extremely reasonable. I was expecting way less but the are about a mile from the airport and had a room available with a 24 hour courtesy shuttle. When I called them they sent the driver very friendly and very prompt. I just spent 20 hours at SeaTac Airport trying to catch a three hour flight. Here to Ancorage. Once I stepped out and saw the totem pole I started to smile. Then entered the lobby and saw the Chandelier made of antler's I started to unwind. And got better as I looked around the lobby and everything smelled nice. Very clean. They had me up and to my room in no time at all. So I took a shower and was asking the person @ the front desk for a close by restaurant and she pointed down the hall to the bar and grill I was in heaven. Lol. Folks look at the pictures you wont be disappointed! definitely a place you will want to eat a few times a week.

I love the restaurant Piper's that's inside the hotel. The rooms are extremely nice and under $70/night.

I attended a dinner meeting of a professional organization I belong to here. Although not as glitzy as the downtown hotels they had very good food at the buffet. This is a good location if you want to keep prices down to an affordable amount.

At check in time they couldn't even find our resevations. After getting everything squared away we were directed to go up the stairs to out room. The courtyard view comment that was made was a literal joke. Also another traveler left their dog outside over night in their car for two nights. I will say when reported the desk clerk promptly reached.

This is by far the cleanest hotel in town, it has a restaurant and bar, and the best thing I like is they have a walk-in freezer for guests who shop frozen foods, or fish and meats from hunting. I will stay no place else in Anchorage.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and has reasonable rates. Adjacent is a restaurant called Piper's that serves good food!

Room smelled, may of been a smoking room before. Front desk staff were legit, very helpful. Other than bringing the hotel out of 1981 with some remodeling and it's a decent place.

Very nice staff with good transportation to the airport. The room was quiet and well supplied. Connected to a good restaurant with beautiful views of the sea planes on the lake.

I was assaulted by a customer who had been bothering people for hours and the staff did nothing until he was kicking my door in! The desk clerk on duty said they don't call the Anchorage AK police because they don't come! One kick and all three locks were off the door and I feared for my life while waiting for police after I called 911! I'll never stay there again! I'll left message for Coast Inn CEO but my call was never returned!

The bed and pillows were pretty good. Soft sheets. The shower was wonderful — hot water and great pressure. I gave it a 3 because carpets seemed a little dirty and they have no elevator for second floor.

Call twice for the shuttle bus and just repeat will be there shortly and end up wasting of more than 40 mins for waiting. Location is convenient but room is old. Regret not to pay little more to stay in other airport hotels.

Staff was great, breakfast was top notch. Piper's Sports Bar had cold beer, good food… and amazing clam chowder. Rooms were nice, however the only thing that the rooms need are small fridges. Not having a fridge is a little frustrating. Overall though, we would stay here again.

It might not be the Waldorf Astoria, but the rooms are clean, the beds are soft, and the beer in Piper's is cold. I like staying here. Best airport shuttle in Anchorage hands down. Staff is great and friendly.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I am just trying to get our money back for our awful 1 night stay here and no one will return my call or email! They have NO onsite management! The front desk girl called our hotel room on our honeymoon at 10:30 pm to ask him to come down to the front desk to be her witness for another upset guest that claimed she took their cash and didn't give it back! Completely unprofessional atmosphere, when we were down there for 20 minutes listening to their conversation waiting because our room key got deactivated-she called the Bartender from the restaraunt next door to come and talk to the guests! We travel quite often-this was the first night of our honeymoon, I am not one to do bad reviews-but this was too far! No on site manager during the entire stay. There is NO elevator, the shower backed up with water and did not drain, the restaraunt attached had the worst service I had ever had in my life. Awful experience. I sent a private email to the corporate office about our experience, since then no one has even attempted to call or email to reconcile the situation so now it has resulted to a bad review.

The rooms are very nice, but could use some updating. Wish there was an elevator. Ice machine on 2nd floor was out of order. Right next to America's largest sea-plane landing area. Beautiful. Restaurant was pretty good $$

Clean, quiet room, nothing fancy. Good restaurant and bar, close to the airport. Good shuttle service to airport.

Been staying here overnight every few weeks for over a year. Biggest upside is definitely the proximity to the airport and timely shuttle service. The attached bar and restaurant is pretty good. The accommodations are okay. Price is unbeatable, especially with corporate discount. By far the biggest downside is the water temperature in the bathroom. Taking a shower is like repeatedly going back and forth from standing in fire and to icicles.

The rooms are very nice, with many amenities that are perfect for staying there. Nice bathrooms, shower, coffee, pipers resultant and bar is a great place to grab a bite to eat or some drinks. The staff is friendly and free shuttle to and from airport. If you plan on driving Alaska park is right next door.

I had a training here. It was okay. The room was still set up for a wedding reception which was strange. All the equipment worked.

I stayed at the coast for work, it wasn't the nicest hotel I've ever been in but for thr price it was very accommodating. It was clean and quite, the bar Pipers, has decent food and stays open pretty late. Good stay I'd come back for sure.

The young woman who checked me into my room was rude. No greeting, no welcome, no "have a good evening". I've only dealt with one person at the front desk who was actually personable. The room is decent and pretty clean. No room complaints. Was disappointed to find out there was no elevator here because I had very heavy luggage. (Thats what the first gal told me anyway. I haven't had the opportunity to inquire with anyone else. ) The housekeeping was kind but pushy and loud. Will avoid booking here in the future. Also it is strange but none of the staff really seems to get along.

Its a retro hotel with no elevators which needs to meet 21st century only in terms of decor. Other than that we stayed for 3 days and enjoyed staying there. Their Piper restaurant is a hidden gem. Love having our meals there with a view of the hood lake and planes taking off. There few other nicer property close by if you want 21st century decor :).

I like the place. It's near the airport, there's always a shuttle to pick you up (flown in several times and have never had to wait for it). It's not the fanciest place in the world, but it doesn't need to be. Beds are comfortable. You do hear a lot of things, but I'm usually so tired when I get in it's not a big deal.

Over priced for stay in at a hunting shack! Come to think about it our hunting shacks over here in Minnesota are put together better than the paper thin walls and the hallow hear every movement floors of this place. The fact that its right next to the airport is the only redeeming quality of this place.!. As for the restaurant that is attached it is overpriced and barely worth the money other than the fact that it's close to where you're staying.
