+: friendly and welcoming staff with Apple tea, we described our location on a map giving us advice on what to do in Istanbul. Very quiet street, good location close to the main sights and the Sultanahmet tram station. Charming European/Turkish breakfast on the terrace with magnificent view (the staff of the lovely breakfast especially the cook, thanks to them). Comfortable hotel with no luxury. Room refurbished every day (thanks to Hatice maid always smiling and of great kindness).
Les —: We had a room (3 beds) at — 2 basement, with so-called adjoining rooms while they are laundries… At our arrival, the cleanliness not terrible between the bed and the box spring ditto for the rug! In the hallway there is a bad smell not knowing where it came from… Good it goes for 4 nights and for those who do not wish to have neighbors.

Great hotel… Magnfique especially the reception services. The location is central. I liked it… and I return c sure.

Location is excellent. Few minutes walk to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Everything was perfect, nice staff, clean room and very location. The hotel did the utmost to make customers happy. My next choice will be absolutely here again when I have another chance to come to Istanbul… cheers.

I've visited this hotel for 3 nights. Very quiet street, excellent location near main touristic sites and Sultanahmet Tram station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good rooftop for breakfast. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a very nice experience with Nowy Efendi Hotel. The hotel has very nice and friendly staffs. It is located at very good spot with all main attractions withn walking distance. The hotel provides very nice and simple breakfast buffet. If I come to Istanbul again, I am sure I will book this hotel again.

My fiance and I landed in Istanbul late and took an Uber to the Efendi Hotel — but we arrived at the wrong one! We were so jet lagged and the folks at the wrong hotel made a call to Nowy Efendi and they got us directions to Uber to the nearest tram stop and sent an attendant to the tram station to walk up to the Nowy Efendi — and this was at 11pm at night! When we got there they got us checked in quickly and even brewed us warm apple tea even though it was late in the evening. Our room was impeccable.

Economical yet personal — the perfect place to stay in Istanbul if you need to see the sights (which we did).

I had the best experience staying in this hotel. Walking distance to all the major attractions and the tramway. Above all, the staff is very friendly and caring. They helped me and guided me everyday on my daily plans for sightseeing. Much appreciated, specially in the city where you don't get any help because of the language barrier. Special thanks to the owner, who offered me another room just because I didn't have a good view through the window. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Hotel located in the location a short walk from the tram stop, geographically halfway between the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar.
Great rooms, great beds, beautiful furnishings and the bathroom really comfy.
