This hotel is a bit far from Bern city center. But a bus and tram station is just outside the hotel, making it ideal for anyone who really requires quiet environment without losing the convenience of travelling to other parts of the city. The view is nice, too. You can see the mountains in the distance as well as some cute horses walking around just in the neighborhood. Breakfast is not anything surprising — fruits, muesli, cheese, hams, coffee… basically everything you expect from a typical swiss breakfast. Rooms and washrooms are very clean. You can get a very restful night here ;)

Stay away if you don't want to be bitten by bugs. This hotel has a real bed bug problem! Staff response to this was poor and unacceptable.

I loved it. Descent room. Good breakfast. Wish I stayed longer to explore Bern. I'll stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent place to stay in Bern. Rooms are a little small so as toilets but its really comfortable. Breakfast is great and has several options for tourists. The staff is the best, really kind and keen on solving any problem and answering questions. I'll definitely come back.

Good ibis hotel. Although far from centre there's good connectivity. Large rooms.

The room: non-existent air conditioner; one bath towel in bathroom for two people (no other towels of any kind) ; no face tissue; one bed pillow each; one waste basket for the room. Hotel: accessible to local tram; excellent, helpful desk staff, free city travel pass; free Wi-Fi. Overall, a true value oriented place to stay.

Hotel on the outskirts of the city, close to the stadium, convenient to reach the highway and connected to the center with a tram that makes terminus in front of the same. Small but comfortable rooms. Ideal for visiting the city.

In bern, turist have Free tram transport ALL over the city. Cards for this benefit are given at the hotel. So, Ibis is a great option, cause You can take the tram just in front of the Bulding, And then get downtown un 5 min tram ir 15 min walk.

Good location but bed with broken staves and paid parking (Fr 20)

Ibis Bern Expo has a great location you are right away at the freeway from Bern, The staff was helpful and speak 3 languages French Englisch German and Swiss German. You get a Libero bern card to use the public transportation for free during your hotel stay … a few meters away you have Wankdorf center a reasonable mall with all what you need no matter what kind of trip you had. The hotel itself is in a ok condition the beds are good for a normal stay of 3 or 4 days the breakfast is ok for the kind of hotel… we cannot expect a gourmet buffet in a 3 stars hotel … The AC sometimes is not working so check it first all in all a good and standard Ibis experience.

Very good hotel, functional, clean and cheap for the area.

There is no air conditioning in the room, window does not open, the room gets super hot and uncomfortable. The room for three people, to bathe the other two have to leave, because the door is glass. Anyway, horrible! Cost too high not to have comfort. Airbnb is much better in the worst room you can book.

The hotel was very good and the price was great. You could go downtown walking and also was close to a view of the city.

The rooms are really small and the pseudo closet door to the toilet is an imposition if you're two.

Had a good stay here, didn't expect much for the low price, but left feeling impressed by the helpful staff, who gave me complimentary tea and city advice, and a free travel pass to use in the city. The simple communal area serves an enjoyable breakfast with a 'make-your-own' waffle machine, with snacks and drinks available all day. The Novotel next door also let Ibis guest use their bar and restaurant if you feel like something a bit fancier. The room was modern and clean, with everything I needed and nothing more. There was a view of a stable across the road with horses training, something a bit different!

Very disapointing. Food selection very limited at hotel with no nearby restsurants.

The room was cozy, warm and the view was satisfying. Price matched the accommodation quality. Four stops from the city centre, 100metres from hockey stadium and Bern Expo bulding. Would reccommend for a short 2-4nights stay.

Very comfortable to transfer to the old town, centre and railway station. Only a tran, 9. Room features the optimum. Very good breakfast and varied. Very friendly staff. I recommend it 100 %

The location is excellent. At the stadium of the YB. Clean and nice as you know it from Ibis.

Very good new hotel with um good lobby and dining area. Staff Super and bilingual even trilingual. Parking is free the first hour but after that goes to 5CHF if I understood correctly.

Rooms were clean the staff was very friendly. You have to pay the parking, but you can also park for longer than the 12 hours (but it is already on the Internet), but for the duration of the stay you get a ticket with which you can drive to the city for free. It takes only seven minutes to get to the city by tram. The breakfast was perfectly fine. There is even waffle dough. Only Nutella would still be desirable. Maybe there's something you can do?

Pretty standard chain hotel. Bathroom design was poorly vented and caused snelks to linger in the room.

As all the Ibis does not disappoint. Rooms go large and of high quality. Bed super comfortable, good breakfast. The receptionists speak several languages including Spanish. What I recommend.

Stayed here for 4 nights just recently. We were in the regular rooms not the budget ones which are located on different floors. The place looked newly renovated and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was well worth it with fresh rolls, fresh fruit, waffle maker and more. Trams stop right outside the hotel which take you down into the center of town in a couple minutes use tram Be aware that your tourist tax includes free transit passes which are given to you by the hotel.

The same thing goes for the other ibis hotels (budget) in Switzerland, its always a great value to your money with a nice clean accommodation. This one offers you underground parking which is 20 swiss frank per 24hr and I found it a good option but the problem is the parking is very small and it was difficult to park the car even for mid size cars. Rooms are cozy with simple and colorful touches to them. The lobby has a funky design with a small bar where you can get coffees and drinks, there is also a breakfast area, the hotel's staff are friendly.

Quality quite acceptable, with a reasonable price for Bern. The parking is almost a must, 20 francs, since you can not park in the area.

A 10 on all services. Clean, good Wi-Fi signal, large room, sink ok. 20 min walk to the historical center or in the front stop of tram that you can take for free because the hotel gives you titles for individual and for 24 hours use the public transportation of the city.

Relatively cheap, the rooms are big at the right spot, with a desk and a spacious shower. Not the usual loculi. Good cleanliness, recommended.

The rooms are the typical small of an Ibis but is modern and functional. The parking could be cheaper, and the fare for traveling with a small dog too, especially when you are not offered any service or you specify that are going to be charged 20CHF. At the time of booking they say "charges may apply" and 4 days before you say the rate is 20 francs "extra" or you agree with them or you cancel the booking. I have traveled all over Switzerland and in the hotels that I have stayed that pets not only I have not loaded anything if you don't that until one had the detail to put snacks and a water fountain. With 20 swiss my dog would be entitled to a breakfast.

Before our arrival my email was full of spam from the business but when we arrived to check in at noon, they told us it was bumped back to 2pm. Because of that our day plans were shot. An email would have been nice then. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the shower spilled water to the rest of the bathroom. The front door staff was nice and quick to get us a room after I complained about the check in time. The food staff however was rude.

The location is very close to the centre. Hotel in the middle price category. The breakfast was very good.

Be careful! The hotel can overcharge you as it happened to me! At first they charged my card before I even showed up in there for a crazy amount what was even twice bigger than my reservation. I stayed in this hotel with my friends for one night while we were visiting Auto Show. I paid 479, 89€ for 4 rooms at the check out. I received my receipt and was satisfied with my stay until I got back home I found out that the hotel charged me one more time for another amount of 481, 89€. It's almost 5 days passed and I still didn't receive not only the refund but even the apology from the hotel.

Мы остановились в отеле lbis Bern Expo на одну ночь, утром я дебетной картой оплатил за одну ночь проживания в данном отеле 4 номера это 479, 89€ и получил чек об оплате и счастливый уехал дальше с друзьями. Но счастье долгое не бывает! По возвращении домой я обнаружил что данный отель списал у меня ещё одну сумму в размере 481, 89€. Документы подтверждающее данное безобразие есть. Надеюсь отель разберётся, деньги мне вернут и виновные будут наказаны.

Good location very basic rooms. Staff at reception not always courteous and helpful.

Tram stop in the face of the hotel, rooms well kept and clean, and breakfast not plentiful but there is everything you want.

The hotel is the most economical that I found. If you are travelling by car, parking is paid but it is that in the street is impossible to park. To go to the center you have the tram at the door which is free with a card you will be given at the hotel. And near there is a very big supermarket that is located under the football stadium. You can also walk to the city taking a walk through a park and offers spectacular views of Bern.

Clean and new place but in relation to very basic price. There is no phon in the room but you can get it through the front desk. Two number towels.

It is a very basic hotel with basic micro rooms, the service was great and that was the best of our stay.

At time of booking was pointed out not that everything is under renovation. Despite credit card deposit required a bar to payment. So what have I seen yet niiiie. Reception is dirty, lobby is not available… Bar not… Pictures on the net very well (probably due to conversion no more…) this is not normal for hotel booking, It's Saturday and the construction work be carried out although the lift is SA / so not. Rooms are ok. Very dirty (temporary? ) Breakfast room (seats patch cafe, ect to many chairs), hope that never again, replaced after reconstruction, bad service, bad service, albeit with a restitution try, even if the conversion is through, because the service should always vote.

In good hotel was very cheap but equally expensive on certain days in regular ibis n rooms. The room is ok. LED shower and light strip on the wall as specials. WC only with very simple door as Manco and power only with a room card is inserted. Cleaning service starts around 9: 00, at wakes guests and pretty makes noise in the corridor. Not the point.

Room is ok for the price. The LedDusch and light bar liked me especially in the wall. However, unfortunately only a door, which is at the top and bottom open is before the WC. Sunday morning was gestaubtsaugt from half 9 on our tour and repeated times knocked in a min 10 minutes cycle against doors. To recommend for weekend.

The facilities appeared partially very cheap, especially in the area of shower and toilet. But it was clean and the price is hot. Would I visit again.

Hygiene, location, parking, breakfast, etc. All tip top.
However, the staff are very unprofessional.
It all started, that the address of the hotel in the confirmation email was incorrect. At the arrival, my room number was unreadable (probably Dyslexic) written up, which is why I had to get back and forth over several floors my room. The next day, my room card no longer worked suddenly so I couldn't get into my room.
The reception was not to call 0 clock from my room.
In addition, the quick dial buttons on the room phone were unprotected.
Louder trifles that are on a stressful work day, /-after, where everything should work fine, just not must be. Already some professionalism can be put on the day.

Nice rooms, with snowcapped mountain views. A little out of town but is accessible through tram 9 (one end of this line).
