This hotel is perfect. The view is amazing. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was incredible. The rooms are comfortable. Honestly, I do not have a single complaint — we were a family of 4 with 2 rooms booked side by side and we had the best time. 100% recommend, one of the most memorable hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Short but steep walk to town and back. Easy and quick tuk tuk ride.
Note / it is difficult for vehicles to access the property, steep narrow winding road. Ok for tuk tuk.

I recently stayed at The Black Stone and overall had a good experience. The room offered excellent privacy and felt comfortable and secure, making it a relaxing place to stay.
The location is one of the best advantages — very convenient and close to important places, restaurants, and transport.
However, from the balcony side, some people were continuously walking past, which caused a bit of disturbance at times. It would be even better if this area had a little more privacy.
Overall, it’s a nice place with a great location and good comfort. Recommended.

Hotel Laura is a lovely, small family-run hotel. There are beautiful views from the patio and from the rooms. We loved sitting on the front porch of our room to relax and take in the view. The hotel is located a short walk from the train station in a very quiet area.
The breakfast was delicious and so so generous! They served both an English breakfast and Sri Lankan dishes which were all so yummy.
We had our laundry done here which was really helpful and very fairly priced.
The hospitality is warm, the views are amazing, and the breakfast is plentiful so it is a great place to stay in Ella.
