We had a wonderful time at the 1964 hostel, we stayed there for three nights and enjoyed every second of it, the room was very comfortable and the view was amazing with a nice place to just hang

It was a truly beautiful hostel with a breathtaking view. The kindness of the staff redefined hospitality for me and we felt welcome and at home from the very first moment.

Fantastic and cost-effective place to stay in Ella with a great view and run by a lovely family. Our room was big, comfy and although it didn't have AC the fan kept it cool enough to sleep well.

Such a great hostel! My partner and I stayed here and we were very impressed, the rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

Really nice place with a beautiful view, staff is really helpful and welcoming, nice room with private bathroom (private room), breakfast is good even if you have to pay to have eggs or a juice.

One of my favorite hostels we stayed in mainly because of the location, it is a half hour walk down the train tracks to town but the walk is stunning enough that I enjoyed going back and forth.

Amazing view, clean comfy private room, comfortable chill space and very social. Gym/exercise equipment too was great to have! Would recommend.

If you want to avoid the crowd in the center this is a good place to stay. Only one room in the jungle. Comfortable big bed and clean. Breakfast also good with daily fresh juice.

Its a nice cozy place run by a wonderful family. Great Sri-Lanka style breakfast with beautiful surroundings. I walked every day into town and explore other areas around the property.

Very nice experience at Nethuli Guest Inn. The owner, Wecke, was very communicative from the day I made the booking (3 weeks in advance) and all throughout my stay.

Nestled by the railway in Ella, Hello Super Hostel is more like a homestay providing the cheapest rooms in Ella and run by a lovely lady that keeps the place spotless.

This is definitely a budget accommodation so don’t expect too much but if you’re a low maintenance solo traveler, it’s a great room.
You can’t beat the price. Just $8 per night for a private room!

I enjoyed my stay here so much! The family that runs it are very kind people, and I felt like home chilling with other travelers. Heartfully recommended 😊

I booked 3 nights here in the 4beds shared room, but in the end I couldn't stay at the hostel because of a mistake that I made.

I had an awesome experience here, the rooms were spacious and clean. The washrooms were clean. The hostel was very social at the time of my visit. Loved it and would love to visit again.

Ella Brown house is a great house in the making. The owners are attentive and wonderful cooks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the bathroom layout in our room seems a bit awkward.

Ella Brown House is a fantastic budget spot for hanging out with friends and family. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The food is yummy, and they have an open kitchen.
