Hostels in EllaHostel

Very clean dorms and super great staff. Loved this place. Breakfast was amazing and the roof has the best view. Pool table and chill area on the roof as well. Definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay at beyond nomad hostel over Tamil/Sinhala newyears. The host, Sithara, was very welcoming and kind, and we were invited to participate in their new years traditions.

Perched on a height above the main road, this property offers a quiet retreat while still being conveniently close to the town centre — about a 10-minute walk, or a quick tuk-tuk ride if you prefer.

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Vantage!

Really nice place with a beautiful view, staff is really helpful and welcoming, nice room with private bathroom (private room), breakfast is good even if you have to pay to have eggs or a juice.

One of my favorite hostels we stayed in mainly because of the location, it is a half hour walk down the train tracks to town but the walk is stunning enough that I enjoyed going back and forth.

Great value hostel with parking and views. Rashmi at the reception can help with Laundry services, booking tours of Ella, and even transport to other towns.

I would like to thank Sadaru. After I had already left the hostel, he messaged me to let me know that I had left my Kindle on the bed.

If you want to avoid the crowd in the center this is a good place to stay. Only one room in the jungle. Comfortable big bed and clean. Breakfast also good with daily fresh juice.

Its a nice cozy place run by a wonderful family. Great Sri-Lanka style breakfast with beautiful surroundings. I walked every day into town and explore other areas around the property.

We loved it here! The perfect vieuw! And ella os beautiful. The people were also sweet:) thankyouu.

We had a wonderful time at the 1964 hostel, we stayed there for three nights and enjoyed every second of it, the room was very comfortable and the view was amazing with a nice place to just hang

Nestled by the railway in Ella, Hello Super Hostel is more like a homestay providing the cheapest rooms in Ella and run by a lovely lady that keeps the place spotless.

This is definitely a budget accommodation so don’t expect too much but if you’re a low maintenance solo traveler, it’s a great room.
You can’t beat the price. Just $8 per night for a private room!

I enjoyed my stay here so much! The family that runs it are very kind people, and I felt like home chilling with other travelers. Heartfully recommended 😊

I booked 3 nights here in the 4beds shared room, but in the end I couldn't stay at the hostel because of a mistake that I made.

I had an awesome experience here, the rooms were spacious and clean. The washrooms were clean. The hostel was very social at the time of my visit. Loved it and would love to visit again.

Lovely place, staff all so so nice and free breakfast every morning was delicious.

Ella Brown house is a great house in the making. The owners are attentive and wonderful cooks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the bathroom layout in our room seems a bit awkward.

Ella Brown House is a fantastic budget spot for hanging out with friends and family. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The food is yummy, and they have an open kitchen.
