Hostels in Basque CountryHostel

The very personal service is outstanding. The owner is the motor of the fantastic hospitality of this old, well kept pension.

This place is fun! The pension is in the middle of the action, it’s clean and very well run. The manager, Anne, is amazing. A force of nature!

Location: ideal location if you are looking to staying in old town San Sebastián. Minutes away from everything.

We paid 32 euros for a room with twin beds, and were very pleased with our stay. Comfortable bed, small-ish pension (3 rooms in total), sharing the bathroom with another room was not an issue.

Great Albergue. Super friendly and helpful host. Good, clean facilities. I really enjoyed my stay.

If you were to take a cross-section of all albergues on all Caminos everywhere in the world, calculate the median, and then arrive at an albergue, it would be this one.

Overall this hostel is a good deal and the staff and vibe is very nice.
People were very friendly over there and the common area helps people to connect with each other.

In times of pandemic Balea Hostel tourism has adapted all its infrastructures in the best way because it is in an indispensable place exit and entrance of the city in the neighborhoods of martutene

Nice weekend, if you want to enjoy family friends, etc … and close to the center without any doubt. Good option.

The building is very good and is of recent construction.

We stayed in the Hostel with 3 people and overall the rooms are clean with curtains for your bed so you can get some privacy when you want.

That was a really nice stay for our needs. We stayed 2 nights with friends, and had a very nice experience.
The rooms were clean, sheets, pillow and towels were provided (really clean too).

Nice place to stay for a few days. This is a capsule hostel which means there are no rooms in the usual sense of word. But these capsules are nice, clean and comfy.

Lovely stay, I tried a few sleeping pods in my life and to my suprise (looking at the cheap price) these ones were so pleasant, most comfy matress and pillows, doors are not completely soundproof but

Had a wonderful two nights here. So many friendly people, clean rooms, and a nice breakfast spread. The staff was very helpful and the location in the old town was very convenient.

The place is okay for the price. The only thing that could definitely be improved is the cleanliness in the bathrooms.

Hostel worth it’s price! It is perfectly located in the old town and within 8 minutes you have a metro station.

I visited for one night in February 2024.
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel was almost completely empty when I stayed, which meant I got an entire 4 bed dormitory to myself.

Parking space and the associated parking facilities in the hostel are very clean.
Really top 👍🏼
Great location for exploring the city.

I was quite impressed with this hotel. Good location walking distance to the hendaya train. Price was reasonable, nice room.

We purposely booked this place due to its easy walking distance to train station. The rooms were nice and very clean.

It was easy to find and check in was a breeze. Both the Hostel and Room security was excellent. Very clean with sheets, pillow, blanket and locker provided.

I recently stayed at this hostel and overall had a really good experience!

Its very clean and staff are very helpful and friendly on arrival. Lots of space in the communal areas and very chilled. Great location for getting around the city and isnt too loud at night!

My reservation was cancelled, wasn’t sure why. The lady at reception even tho she doesn’t speak English (and I don’t speak Spanish) made an excellent effort and sorted it all out. Kudos to her!

Had a good stay here and found the staff really helpful, nice and resortful when I needed something. I do not rate 5 stars because the rooms need to be improved definitely.

Great place to stay. Next to the museums. Next to plenty of restaurants. The rooms are clean. The showers are clean. The staff is very helpful. They have an attached restaurant which is convenient.

The owner was super kind and friendly and the hostel was comfortable and great value for money. I could sleep comfortably and it was quiet and clean.
