Super clean, well-conceived, practical and beautiful. The staff were beyond nice and friendly. Excellent place, excellent stay! Heating worked perfectly. Everything was amazing.

One of the best hotel stays we've had in Spain. It was our first trip to Bilbao, and the front desk team made us feel welcome and offered recommendations.

The hostel kitchen has a poster "we celebrate individualism". I asked an LLM to comment from Slavoj Zizek's perspective:

I had a wonderful stay at Axel Hotel Bilbao. The location is fantastic, right near the market, the river, and the old town — perfect for exploring the city on foot.

I was able to take a bicycle into my room, that's a five star review from me already.
The hotel and rooms have a nice design, much more cosy than a lot of other places.

A very comfortable stay, bed was comfy, room quite dark, We slept very well.
We got an upgrade on our room, to a balcony room, which was nice. Staff very friendly. Clean modern hotel.

This is a gorgeous hotel, perfectly placed for the bus station. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was quirky and we loved it. The Wi-Fi was great, the shower was great.

We’ve stayed here before and once again had a fantastic experience. At the reception we were warmly and professionally welcomed by Juan – truly a star!

Staff at check-in were lovely and very helpful. Loved the room key option on my phone. King size bedroom was so comfortable and we had 3 nights of deep, uninterrupted sleep.

The rooms are extremely spacious. Only downer was the telephone was not working and considering the room size the was very little storage and places to hang clothing.

The hotel is centrally located and all Bilbao attractions are within easy walking distance. Lovely room, but the view (overlooking a series of apartments) was a bit disappointing.

I have travelled a lot and I see a lot of hotels, but this one has something special. Verry good staff, fresh and good breakfast.

A great hotel 15 minutes walk from the city centre not recommended if you have walking difficulties as it’s on an incline.

Excellent location in the old town (Siete Calles). Staff is absolutely amazing, wonderful & overall truly helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. Don't go anywhere else for breakfast.

Excellent clean hotel, 20 minutes walk to town and 15 mins to bus station. Hotel is well run and has clean rooms. Breakfast offered plenty of options and fresh eggs and omelettes cooked to order.

Clean and good facilities. But the best is probably the service. Great staff everyone you meet is so service minded.

Fabulous hotel — great location in the city centre with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. It is about 20 mins walk to the old town, but a pleasant walk.

Nice and modern hotel close to the Guggenheim, but still only a short walk from the city's various attractions, including the old town and San Mamés stadium.

This hotel is a hidden gem! Perfect location, walking distance to the city centre and the old town and perfectly connected with public transport.

So there I was deluded into thinking I’d reviewed this wonderful hotel, but I hadn’t so I’ll remedy this now.
We travelled around France and Spain for eight weeks and this hotel was in our top three.

We booked a “Deluxe Room with Guggenheim views” for 5 nights and were lodged in room 52, on the 5th floor, a room facing the street and indeed offering a nice view of Guggenheim museum and its iconic

Stayed here for an event. Great location right in front of the Guggenheim museum. Food was good. Amenities were great. Gym was clean and well maintained. Hard to find luxury boutique hotels in Spain.

Although only there for one night, it was a fantastic night. Luxury hotel right beside the Guggenheim museum and easily walking distance for lots of sights.

Great location very near to bus stop, trams and metro. Walkable to Gran Via and Plaza Nueva is next door. Room was very clean with good facilities.

This was the perfect base for a two-day stay in Bilbao mid-December. Three of us in a room for two with a fold-out couch was tight, but we were careful and tidy and made it work.

Really nice rooms. The location is excellent: In the heart of the new city with all its activity, and really close to the old city. It is a short walk to public transit.

Well equipped and clean for the price/value ratio. Small kitchen area in the room, with fridge and microwave.

Perfect location in downtown Bilbao. The hotel suite we stayed in was a vibe — felt like home, with a comfy bed and tastefully decorated furnishings. We got the balcony suite — which I recommend!

My wife, my son and I stayed at apartment for two nights. Everything was alright. We had all we needed. The location is perfect to visit the city and it's very quite at night.

Our room had no window, so felt suffocating.

This was great hotel to stay at, for the price the room was great. It’s not big but again for the price you get a bargain. I stayed in the Sope room which has a king sized bed.

Excellent hotel and total value for money. Reception charming and service excellent. Room as clean as can be, quiet and super spacious. Breakfast amazing and so much on offer.

One of the best locations — the old city is in the walking distance, the shopping stores are right there, the greatest shopping mall is across the street.

Firstly the location in the Old Town is excellent and easy walking distance to all museums. This is less a hotel and more like serviced rooms.

Great space in a strategic location if you don't want directly in Downtown Bilabo (is at the perfect edge of it and at walking distance of everything). Super clean, comfortable and easy to access!

Nice and functional clean apartment on 10-15 min walk from old city, and Guggenheim. Nice size conmfi beds, great strong shower, functional well equipped kitchen and small living room.
