Excellent hotel and in a very nice and pleasant environment.

We have gone from Alicante to an Athletics competition and we are delighted, our stay has been perfect, an unbeatable treatment of all the staff, good food, esotious and quiet rooms, so it gives pleasure. We will come back if we have the chance.

We went to enjoy the breakfast buffet. The dining room is very cozy and with a view. Great assortment of quality products and unbeatable personalized attention.

Can’t say enough about the staff in this hotel. Even under strict COVID conditions, they made our stay absolutely brilliant. If they didn’t have it, they made it happen. We will certainly return to this hotel when we travel by ferry from UK to Spain again.

Booked a room here randomly on Booking. Com as it was an excellent rate and we needed somewhere to stay after driving down from Bordeaux to catch our ferry home the following morning. All I can say is what a find! The staff and the rooms are beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Bilbao old town or the hotel put on a shuttle bus. Kids loved the room service and the food was lovely. Usually I don’t bother paying the extortionate rates for hotel Breakfasts as they usually consist of a few stale croissants and warm slices of ham. BUT, the breakfast here was absolutely amazing and well worth the cost. All diets were catered for and fresh omelettes, pancakes and waffles were made to order. I can not recommend this hotel enough if you are travelling through Bilbao.

The hotel is recent with large rooms equipped with all comfort and clean. The location is not optimal if you want to visit the city and you do not have your own car. It is located on the outskirts of the ring road in a context of social housing without shops and there is only one bus to reach it. Walking from the centre you can reach by going on a rather challenging climb and if you come across the taxi strike as on our arrival, reaching it is quite difficult. Unfortunately we had a bad experience on the day of our check-out. The waiter who was supposed to serve us breakfast, spilled the hot cup of tea on my wife's legs. We were very disappointed because we had little assistance. The waiter ran away. The bartender gave us a napkin with some ice and only when we went to the reception to pay the bill (almost an hour later) we were told that a short distance away there is a medical clinic. To "apologise" we were offered dinner the night before valued at. 60.00. A nice property but I won't be going back for sure.

Best hotel for pet owner in Europe. Immaculate hygiene without smells. Being a pet owner doesn't automatically demote you to lesser rooms, friendly crew, brilliant breakfast.

Very comfortable hotel with great amenities. We booked the Guggenheim stay, so it came with museum passes. It is very recommended to do it this way so you can skip the long queue at the museum. The staff were mostly friendly. They know many languages to help guests. Sometimes they came across unapproachable and didn't really respond to needs. The shuttle bus is very convenient and the drivers were polite and friendly. Great place to stay as it's in a quiet area and still accessible to attractions.

This hotel has everything going for it. Large rooms, gym, parking, great location 10 minutes walk to the main city center while still in the quieter part of the city. There is even a free shuttle to the city every hour. Even then my heart did not allow me to give a 5-star. The reason is that the hotel lacks a soul. All the rooms are in boring color; there's no vibrancy or personality. I suggest the management put some art pieces in the room and color up the corridors, even miss match the furniture or the receptionist dress; perhaps invite students from the local art school and let them lose. That is what Ensure this hotel get to Five Star.

An excellent option for Bilbao. Spacious, very clean rooms with comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the better breakfast buffets I’ve seen in this part of the world. Walkable distance from the Old Town, which can also be easily reached with bus line 77 which stops right outside the hotel (EUR 1.30 for a tickets, departs every 10–15 mins).

A nice stay. Good price & quality with excellent breakfast. The hotel is a bit outside, ca 1 km of the old quarter, the rooms are big and the beds comfortable and everything was always clean. The breakfast buffet wad amazing with an endless choice of food. We had just a bit of problems with the Wi-Fi that was poor in our room but in the rest of the hotel it worked super fast.

With city center parking so difficult this hotel has many spaces. However, the hotel is a long walk from the old town center and about 45-60 minutes to the Guggenheim. For visitors to the city, learn local transportation or prepare to enjoy walking. Walking back to the hotel is uphill. The rooms are spacious and clean. Online pricing is slightly less expensive than calling directly. The free in room amenity of coffee is barely drinkable. Tea is available but I'm not a tea drinker. Service in the restaurant is minimal. The hallways lighting is off until you move into it. Opening your room door, the hall is dark until you step into the hall. There is a 3euro charge for water at dinner. Front desk staff are friendly at night. The bar is tiny. The views can be good or not since this is a city of hills.

Magnificent rooms. Maybe the only downside that the cupboard could be a little bigger. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with the chef present to prepare the tortillas and eggs at the moment. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A good hotel, it is not in the center but it gets very fast to it. You can walk without any problems. I liked it, I would repeat.

Hotel with a slightly decentrated location but not too far from the Ribera market and Casco Viejo, easily reachable by bus no. 77 which stops right in front of the hotel. You are greeted in the bright hall with a lot of courtesy from the staff, nimble meet any need and provide information about the hotel and also about the city. Very spacious room, clean and with really comfortable beds; Located on the eighth floor, it was quiet despite the hotel overlooking a rather important road artery. The hotel is equipped with a multi-storey car park, conference room and gym, the latter service included in the price. The cafeteria service is also appreciable, in case you don't need to eat a buffet breakfast in favor of a quicker meal. Excellent value for money, only pity for the location not central.

Clean and large convention hotel. Conventioneers can be a bit loud in hallways at night. Internet worked intermittently in room. Room reserved for king was given to someone else, although we advised a late arrival and had prepaid. Nothing to walk to around hotel. Tram into town a steep 5 min walk — ok for most but not all.

Hi I am Carlos I have been this weekend at the hotel and I have to say that as always I have been the treatment of all the staff has been fantastic, from reception, facilities, services etc but I want to make a special mention favor of the waitresses who are They take care of the breakfasts in and out of the dining room I recommend this hotel.

Pleasant stay in a hotel that deserves in full the 4 * of which it is fregia. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms large and very clean, the breakfast is varied and appetous: there is really everything and more. The restaurant also lives up to the situation. Corner with PC available to customers in free mode, free wi fi. Also, the location is good and quiet. Bus stop 77 in front of the hotel: with 4 stops you arrive in the heart of the city center advisable to 100%

Pretty basic for the price. Unnecessarily huge bathroom (but brilliant shower) and poor soundproofing. Good location though (ten minutes walk to the old town) and secure parking.

Used several times for work and I have to say that very nice and clean Internet connection very fast and great service. The hotel is located in a convenient area for both the city centre and the motorway.

We did not have much information about our hotel when we came to Bilbao. We found more than we expected from a 4 star hotel. They deserve at least 5 stars. They knocked on our door last night and said they came for room service; When we opened the door, there was a large plate of mixed fruit and an envelope in the hand of the attendant at the door. I said, "we did not order anything", they said, "it was from the hotel", and he left. When we opened the envelope, they were celebrating our sons birthday. I guess they had learned my sons age from the hotel records and made such delicacy. Thanks HOTEL GRAN BILBAO! Its very nice hotel. Helpfull staff. Clean rooms. Highly recommended.

Good location Spacious and overlooking room. Quite difficult to find parking in the vicinity, although the hotel also offers parking. A 10 minute walk from the center and bus stop right in front of the hotel. Metro stop 10 minutes walk too. Overall good experience. Repeat.

We hired the hotel for a price and when we went to pay the check out day we charged 23 euros more than we established. At the super slow restaurant we had to get up twice so that they would bring us what we ordered for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were very close to the hotel and the room was very nice and the breakfast was very good. Clean rooms and bathroom spacious and clean too.

Breakfast was very good. The room was not so good. The shower was dripping and they put a towel on the floor so it wouldn't sound too much. A decent hotel can't do those things.

The breakfast buffet is spectacular. Of the best I've ever seen. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable.

We were eating in the restaurant, the food was very rich and they were very attentive in the deal. A pretty big glitch for a restaurant so we were not asked the point of the steak, it gave the impression that it was made in advance, it was still good.

We were at the monthly brunch and highly recommended. Anything you can think of, they wanted. Amazing close attention and thank you. With a welcome detail and a reminder that made it even more unforgettable. We also made a find of valuation and improvement although it is difficult to overcome it!

Well-kept Hotel, good customer service. The hotel itself great and decent prices. We came on a honeymoon trip through booking, which was notified on the reservation. For the price paid we had a room with a view of the estuary, and we came very excited because it was our first holiday together. We worked in the hospitality industry and we expected some little something to be honeymoon, even if they were a swan-shaped towels or any little thing. We were overlooking a parking in a small room by its location. In that we were a little disappointed, but otherwise the service very well.

Enjoyed my stay. The beds were comfortable, and the cleaning crew cleaned them quickly. Also the room were a great size, mine had tile floors. The bathroom was ver nice as well, with nicely provided amenities. The breakfast was incredible, many options to choose from, and you can enjoy a great view with the large window to the far side of the breakfast room. Close enough to the city.

I was very pleasantly surprised, I have been in hotels of more stars than this but this site exceeds them, some breakfasts of the best, with natural fruit juices, and the quality of the products very good. The attention in this hotel is exceeded, we went for the anniversary celebration and we had balloons and petals with a heart shape in the bed and at night we found a bottle of champagne gift. I recommend it to 100%.

Very spacious room and bathroom. Highly recommended breakfast, freshly squeezed natural orange juice and great selection of products. To highlight the tortillas prepared at the moment and the Detox shakes.

We have been eating there several times with gang and children included and it is a very quiet place. Good value for money.

Large and spacious rooms, well appointed with some nice freebies included, like bottles of mineral water and Nespresso pods/machine in your room. Ten minute walk from Bassarate metro station, so not too far from the old town. Staff friendly and with good English.

Excellent hotel, with very good views, somewhat removed from the metro, but good connected to it by 2 bus routes. A 10 minute walk from the old town of Bilbao, very friendly and professional staff. Holder very juvenile.

This is the last time I trust the people on TripAdvisor for hotels. Frankly I do not understand the notes… very disappointed of the hotel, very sober lobby very sad, room quelquonque with still a large TV as a smartphone (with SCART sockets), Tiny bed (hotel for people small size I think) and Especially a 30-degree heater impossible to settle. We slept the window open in January! The hotel corresponds to a Ibis in France, not better. It's a good 3 stars, but certainly not a 4 stars. Finally, they're not even commercial. The hotel was practically empty and they put me in a low end room without even trying to offer me Mieu (I would have paid to avoid this room). For just 20 euro more, next time I go to the Mélia where I will have a real service! In addition until the end no service they refused me a bill of my hotel night under the pretext that I did not rent via their booking site as 3 customers on 5 today who uses a booking platform!

Clean, hospitable and in a great location. Would recommend at an appropriate price point. The hotel is modern and the facilities there are more than adequate for the affordability of the hotel.

Pretty good hotel, good garage at a reasonable price. Good staff and effective. Modern, comfortable and cosy rooms and bathrooms. The only downside is the location that is away from the center but for everything else great.

Great Hotel and location near the old city. Very convenient location to move via the Bilbao train tram. Need to walk 10 min to old city but a pleasant stroll. Really enjoyed the breakfast and convenient parking.

Hotel that gives a great impression of quality, with a bus stop at the entrance and the metro/tram to 7 minutes walking (albeit with a considerable difference). The most noteworthy: the beautiful views of the estuary from the rooms that allow it.

We felt very good thanks to the friendly staff throughout the hotel. Very healthy and full breakfast. After all the day of kicking the city, arriving and being able to rest so well, it is a luxury. They provided free transfer from the hotel to the Guggenheim in our case (several stops). No doubt we will repeat.

Comfortable, bright and attractive. The only drawback is its location up a hill from the tram, market, and bars. Staff are accommodating and welcoming and all the facilities clean and good quality.

2 times in 2 years I go to this hotel at the time of the holidays in Bilbao as it is very well placed, a 10 minute walk from the city center. Very professional staff.

The location is good, and you can reach the old town within a few minutes of walking distance when plugging in we were received friendly and we were told everything in detail. Very nice. Unfortunately we came to our first room and there were two separate single beds with a large bedside table in between. Although we had booked a double room. The answer to this was, a large bed is only possible depending on the load. In the second room, which we received after our complaint, there were two roughly pushed together single beds. I don't like that and when booking you couldn't see what type of bed that is.
Otherwise the hotel is quiet and very clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Wow! One of the best hotels In 4**** Category I have visited in a loooong time! Room was spacious with tasteful decoration. Breakfast was great and service was excellent! My daughters even commented "Dad this was the best hotel ever" Close to the old city of Bilbao and easily accessible from the airport! Highly recommended!

Excellent relation quality-price. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is generous in space and furnished with good taste. Includes the amenities necessary, although I missed the toothbrush and the toothpaste. Good location for a stay in Bilbao.

The rooms are very well, great service, buffet breakfast very well and even the night with quality menu. They walk to 10 minutes of the zone Center of pintxos. Very well in general.

I've hosted me for work. The bed is not that you sleep well… is this, sincerely is very very comfortable. Not to mention breakfast, all excellent and natural juice, not boat. Hotel with everything impeccable, and new installations. Very good experience, and no doubt will repeat when you return to Bilbao, which I hope is soon.

We stayed two nights in a superior double € 80. The truth that was a success picked the hotel and room category. The relationship is very good, good views, the spacious bathroom, with shower and bath, and modern décor. In addition a ten in a matter of cleaning.
We use the parking, spacious and with enough plants to Park comfortably.
As for the breakfast buffet, very full type and quality. The staff very friendly and helpful.
Very well communicated with the Centre of Bilbao, bus 77 for at the door of the hotel. Not we moved the car for nothing.
As a unique criticism, were that the bed was a little soft and uncomfortable pillow, and that air conditioning is not configurable by room (it was cold).

Three nights without any fuss, the rooms comfortable, and the staff very friendly and willing to help. Not far from the centre to go gone, but it is well connected to all forms. Highlight a charge from the bar that was suggested to us that would make us a cocktail, different every night, and every night is exceeded.

Good views, bright and very spacious room. Bus # 77 leaves you in the center in 10 minutes. The team of reception and restaurant very friendly. I have been on the occasion of a working meeting. The hall, image and sound very well, in a living room (Begoña) spacious and comfortable. A menu of 18 euros super with 4 first, 4 second and 4 desserts to choose from, coffee included. In my case puff pastry of salmon, confit of duck and mandarin sorbet.

Well equipped for families with children. Very spacious rooms. Ours was a Superior, and worth the trip!. We ate dinner one night in the hotel and the service and the menu perfect! very good quality-price ratio. Very friendly staff both in reception and in restaurant-café. Without a doubt we will return.

As a hotel for particular is great. However, it is not suitable for groups as it is not possible to unload luggage by bus without violating the rules, all of this despite having a car park for buses that are not used by the discretion of the hotel itself.

Great hotel at 7 minutes walk (with two children) to the Old town. Comfortable, spacious, nice and with a wonderful service. Absolutely all the staff of the hotel has a fab deal and make the client feel at home. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with lots of light and the quadruple room has 4 beds and need not pass over any of them to cross the room XD. Have breakfast for celiacs. A perfect hotel to visit Bilbao in a family.

Just perfect! The facilities are very modern and complete (the hall of the hotel is stunning both day with the huge window as well as at night perfectly illuminated) The restaurant food is very good and affordable price. The reception staff is very attentive and help you in everything you need, we indicated how to move around the city and see with the greatest kindness in the world. In regards to the room, it is huge, with a large bathroom and a mattress of quality. Finally, and not least the breakfast buffet is exquisite, with a great variety of products. Sure I will repeat.

A little away from the Center.

The part of the Gran Bilbao hotel do not know it because I've not hosted me there, still say showers are amazing. The hotel is very large, new and Nice, with spacious rooms and an auditorium large to accommodate congresses. It is very well assembled, with taste.
The restaurant is very rich. What you can expect from a hotel of this category and more. Friendly attentive service, care. In addition, bathrooms are full at all, the hand dryers are new these drying of truth and you don't have to go scrubbing you hand by the pants, just for that should have five stars.

Service neither much nor little, only I have used it to sleep, the theme room, large, spacious, but when the first day habro bed to put me to sleep, surprise, I meet two HAIRS, one curly as you have pubic and other longer as we have in the head, the explanation of the hotel that the laundry had not washed them well My conclusion is that they had not changed them. Each remove theirs.

Can somebody tell me why the bar guy is not happy with his job.

This hotel definately make our trip an amazing experience and an unforgettable time. This is a 4 star hotel strategically place up the hill from Casco Viejo which is Bilbao's downtown. You can easily get there by foot which would take you 10 mins or bus number 77 (which you take across the street from the hotel). We fit 3 people per room and there was still plenty of space. The bathrooms were amazingly roomy for Europe and super clean. The hotel has 2 restaurants, a cafe bar, 2 lobbys facing the mountain and parking, which is the most valuable things wherever you decide to stay, since most hotels don't have it due to expensive realstate. The front desk personel was super helpful and wherever you go they give you a free map of the area. The restaurant food was expensive and not that great but there are so many great restaurants around the area that you need to see anyway.
