Stayed here many times and would not willingly stay anywhere else in Bilbao. The hotel is elegant, all the staff are helpful and charming, breakfast is superb and the location is perfect!

Wonderful! Very nice service! I injeoy to stay in this hotel.

Came in January and the gave me a small room on the 6th floor but it was very warm so I asked if they had a cooling fan because even turning off the thermostat didn't help.
They moved me to a room 3 times larger with a king bed and 2 windows so the breeze cooled the new room down.
If you are going to stay here make sure to get an inside suite so you don't get traffic noise.
Breakfast is second to none.
Amazing atmosphere.
Highly recommend this hotel but bring a fan to cool you if you can.

Fantastic, great location and service.

I recommend it because the floor is carpeted and when walking you do not make noise, because the rooms are super spacious. The mattress is quite large and comfortable and on top of that you can choose the pillows of the material you want. I loved the detail that it has a second door and isisle from the outside and the bathroom, the curtain darkens the room well and the cleaning girls are very professional and very attentive like all the staff.

Exceptional, all excellent service, I'll come back.

Great hotel for an amazing wedding party!

We had a lovely 3 night stay. Friendly staff, clean room, very attractive lobby and a great location! We will definitely stay here when visiting Bilbao again. Love it!

The hotel is centrally located well positioned but the staff is too old and needed motivation. Not all the room were restored. Keep calm and attention, it's suggested looking at the room before accepting yours. At the end is an historical experience.

A comfortable hotel with central location. I liked the large rooms but it was outdated. It is in need of a complete renovation. Breakfast was great with good variety of food. I also enjoyed the terrace and highly recommend it.

Luxurious in common areas and in rooms although the bathrooms of these somewhat dated. Excellent service and very friendly and dedicated staff. Central hotel ideal to see Bilbao walking. To repeat!

Very nice, comfortable hotel. It's very quiet and clean. Staff are very nice, polite, and helpful. There are safes in the rooms which is convenient. I liked the bathroom design because the toilet and sinks are separated so while someone is using the toilet, the other can use the sink. There are coffee maker and fridge in the room. Overall I had a great experience.

Hotel is advertised as a five stars; it certainly isn’t. We spent a night here and we won’t be back. It was very noisy, especially the water pipes, the bed too hard and the room looked like an hospital room (functional, fake wooden floor and cheap furniture). Not recommended for light sleepers. On the positive, it is well located within walking distance from the old city and the Guggenheim museum; staff was nice and helpful.

One of the most emblematic hotels in Bilbao, no doubt. Very stately and very elegant. The rooms as I commented the buttons are reformed and certainly very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet very spacious, and I have gluten intolerance, I had no problem. I was served a varied tray of gluten-free products. And one of the days I couldn't get down to breakfast because I work very early, I uploaded a small breakfast to the room. Definitely the service excellent.

It highlights the careful attention of all its staff from the concierge. Outstanding staff for room service, breakfast waiters, cleaning staff and quick response to any request. The price and service according to the level of the hotel.

The best Bloody Mary I have tasted so far in my travels, currently the hotel is being renovated, so keep an eye out for when it's completed, then get over there to Bilbao, well worth it.

Great lobby and bar. Ideally located onntge center of town. The hotel is old yet updated. I did not stay, only met colleagues.

Attended restauenaton a Sunday evening where a buffet was being served. The food was excellent, as well as the service. The was a great variety of food, for every dish, so you have a great amount of options. Quite affordable.

This hotel, on foot from the castle/Buddha Palace and "two Pasos"del Bridge of the Chains "has an unbeatable location for those wishing to visit Budapest. Nice accommodation with an unbeatable value for money. Free buffet for breakfast.

Would have been nice if they told me they had no air conditioning until May. Today, 6 April, the temp in Bilbao was 79F and the room was warmer than that. Somehow they couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to stay in that sauna.
They didn’t offer to help us find another room… they didn’t even offer to hail us a taxi.
I have higher service expectations of a “5 Star” hotel. I think they just made up that rating themselves.

Apparently the hotel doesn’t not have Air conditioning until May. They failed to disclose this information prior or at check in. The temperature today was 79 in Bilbao and the room felt like a hot sauna. Furthermore the front desk manager was ambivalent. They offered to put a fan in our room. For a 5 star hotel one would expect better service! At minimum advise guest at check in! I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel experience, probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The food options are amazing, breakfast has the local cuisine with 100% freshness. Prices are amazing and I recommend anybody who wants a wonderful experience in Bilbao should consider this place first. Gym is reasonably equipped with all the essentials for a good full-body workout. Also location is excellent in Bilbao's main circle, within walking distance of just about anything in the city.

Historical building, former seat of the Basque government during the war today a classic and stately hotel, with a large oval hall crowned in a glazed dome. Excellent attention.

The Hotel Carlton is one of the most emblematic of Bilbao. Located in the elliptical square, in the middle of the Gran via Bilbao where the main streets of the city converge. The building is of classic style and the verb during the Civil war the seat of the first Basque government. Its rooms are classic-style carpeted on the floor and is an ideal place to celebrate a social event. On its ground floor the Central lounge has a beautiful ceiling with an impressive dome. It is a 5 star hotel so it is not within reach of all the pockets. At the beginning of 2018 the stone façade is being renovated to be new.

The rooms clean and hot, sometimes n winter there is Q open the windows of so much heat. There are Nespresso and cafes in rooms.

A luxury hotel and open to the entrance of the whole world. Restaurant and cafeteria for independent entrances if you like and excellent place to indulge yourself in the center of Bilbao.

With an excellent location this hotel, one of the most luxurious of the villa, is part of the history of modern Bilbao. It has a bar available to the general public, where you have a drink and enjoy an exclent music.

The hotel room was great. The location was excellent, with a metro station just out the door. The staff were very helpful on many occasions.

Very good location (apart from the side on the crossroads). The staff at the reception (a white-haired bearded) can be pretentious and make you wait: unacceptable! But his colleagues are fine.
The hotel manager, the air stressed, is very pro.
The gym was unavailable a day for maintenance… a little annoying, and the rower squeaked in a painful way, it was greased after my remark.
The room was spacious, a bit old-fashioned. Separate Wc very well, the bathroom deserving as the room a little facelift one of these days. The Wi-Fi makes up and down…
Well ask for a high floor if possible as the street, and especially the place is very noisy and the glazing of the windows not insulating. The rooms on the patio will be quieter but the view is awful (on the top of the canopy covered with a tent, surely due to leakage).
The breakfast is very good, complete and overall very nice.
The bar of the hotel has little interest: bright lighting, no ambience but the bartender is friendly and we finished our glasses in our room rather than in this scenery a little empty and sinister.
In short, good hotel but can really do better for a 5 star!

Good Hotel, perfect rooms with coffee machine. Great TV set and right in the center of the city. Breakfast could be better but still very good. Fantastic Wi fi conexion.

Beautiful hotel, located in the centre of Bilbao, friendly and competent staff, superb rooms, our with views over the Moyua Square, good breakfast, a real pleasure staying at this property.

I have not stayed I have visited a flea market in RL Hall. In place is beautiful, well dressed, a glazed upula of time. The downside is the reception, small and as abandoned in the midst of luxury. The guests were almost against the front door, but it would be for the flea market.

Stood in the Grand Salon a fair to luxury items with furs shawls and other luxurious accessories. The lounges are beautiful and decorated with carefully worked wood. We enjoyed it for your one drink and take some pintxos to the famous hotel bar. It was a very nice surprise because despite the sumptuous setting and the five star service, the prices were more than reasonable your cheapest than industrial pintxos served in the city center… Milesker.

It is a classy hotel, elegant and the attention of the staff is very good.
The location of the hotel is perfect for getting to know all the centre of Bilbao.

Fuimos a visitar el hotel en el evento open houses. Interesante la visita al bunker. Mas por la historia que por otra cosa, ya que esta totalmente reformado.

A beautiful hotel with a classic style throughout and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We had a superior suite and found it good value, spacious and well furnished. Beds are very comfortable with a choice of pillow firmness to suit you which was appreciated. The restaurant has a super selection of fine dining options on the menu and the staff went above and beyond to help with my gluten-free diet and provide assistance. Absolutely superb.

Nice room, clean and great view. Staff were pleasant and overall we enjoyed our stay.

I was there during the "Semana grande de Bilbao". Everything was fine in general.

I highly recommend this hotel.
From the airport we took the city bus and the hotel was the second stop and a few steps from the hotel. The location is awesome walking distance to everything.
The subway is a few steps away.
We arrived early and when we checked in we were able to get into our room.
Our room was big, clean and we even had a balcony which was a nice surprise.
We didn't hear any noise from the street. The room was a bit dated and it had a small TV with few English channels but we didn't spend that much time in our room.
Shower was nice with good pressure.
Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had.
If I ever return to Bilbao I would stay at this hotel with a friend because for one person it is expensive.

Went to the restaurant for launch, great service and very good food, though it is slightly expenseive.

Lovely city centre hotel. Here for two nights and couldn't fault the place. Staff were excellent, room was spacious and very comfortable, breakfast was full and varied. Great location for exploring the city on foot.

Fabulous place, couldnt even come up with a nitpick. Beautiful restful building, terrific rooms, staff are top notch, breakfast amazing and didnt hear a thing sleeping on the luxurious bed with my pillow menu choice. Front staff retrieved my car from bus stop on side street and parked for me, so when you stay if driving pull up to the front door go across the pavement. 11 out of 10 for me.

I was this summer and it was very good. From the moment we got in the cab and told the taxi driver was the hotel of "the flor y nata" of Bilbo. The rooms are well-appointed and are very spacious, especially bathroom, equipped with luxury of detail and there is an office available to customers with printer and free Internet.

It is true q daddy yankee was operated there.

I stay here every time I come Bilbao. Love the location. Love the building. Love the service and the people. Muchos complementos su Martin, Pedro, Cristina and Yolanda. They speak very good English and are extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any American coming to Bilbao. The fitness center is better than anything I've ever found in the US.

5 star hotel gave me that breakfast. Disgusting dirty plate. You tell me if you eat it. Carlton Hotel.

We were more than a year ago but the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are very cosy, although the bathrooms are improvable. Very friendly staff.

This if it is a classic. In the celebrations of the semana grande of bilbao mounted a bar in the centre of the hotel is very lively. In contrast, in the cafeteria on the side you can have business meetings very quiet at normal prices.

Excellent. It may not be a hightech hotel, or of more rooms, but it is cozy, the service is very good and this perfectly located.

Emblematic hotel in the Centre of Bilbao, it is the third time that I stay, but almost by obligation. I'm sure that is the style of many, but not mine. The rooms are very large, but as they have had to modify the baths by the regulations of 5 star hotels, in the case of my room, toilet, had to stand, because neither a ryanair aircraft has a narrower space. To my outside room I had, but I have understood that there are also Interior, if they make a reservation, request outdoor room in observations. @hlookercom.

Super hotel. My room was very large and rather more modern than I expected for the type of hotel. BREAKFAST A LAST! I made the reservation for the hotel's website, because I came out cheaper. Super recommended.

In the heart of Bilbao, reachable on foot to areas most popular city. The new terrace overlooking Moyua is exceptional for summer days.

Perfect! The junior suites with view of Moyua are wonderful and the treatment is exquisite.
The only downside that might put you to the hotel is the breakfast service, is not bad, but the value for money is not entirely successful.
