My family was extremely disappointed immediately upon arrival. We have plenty of experience at most of the many hotels around Somerset. Every single one had various parking options, and valet. This hotel had no one at the door, the inside staff looked scared to even approach us once inside, and with pointed finger one of the lobby men showed us that we can park in a dusty covered lot across from the entrance. This lot advertised "BASEMENT PARKING ", but the same attendant had to walk across the street to give us card access to the lot. He stated that basement level has been closed over a very long time. To park outside on a dusty night, and walk back to the entrance. While I don't mind minor inconveniences for a good reason, no reason was he able to give. But looking at the empty hotel and mostly staff cars, one realizes that this hotel is on the outskirts of surviving. Also the great breakfast buffet restaurant, American Grill, was no longer in operation. I had to find out from the reviews here that they were closed over a year ago "for renovation of the hotel" that apparently never happened. On the positive side, even though the lobby staff appeared scared, they were friendly enough for a few questions. Also the 2-bed unit was in good condition, with comfortable furniture and spacious kitchen area. Good for small gatherings or baby showers. NOTE: Elevators require room card to go up.
