The highlight of the hotel were the very kind and hospitable hosts. Elena was so kind to us on multiple occasions during our stay.

We stayed for two nights in a room with balcony which gives a beautiful view over parts of the lake and the mountains. This is definitely what you pay for.

The hotel staff was exceptional. The hotel manager went out of his way to help me pay a parking ticket at the gas station. The room was lovely and spotless.

My parents stayed here for 4 nights, they were spoilt with so my hospitality from everyone at the hotel. The staff all speak exceptionally good English and made such a difference to their stay.

This was by far my favorite spot to stay along the Portuguese Camino.

We were jumping from the Coastal Route to the Central Route, and this hotel was conveniently located for us.

What a beautiful tranquil place, in the middle of the countryside, but not too far way from the motorway. Rooms very clean, comfy bed lovely pillows, good shower.

Being fair I rate this as a 4 star hotel. It uses 5 Star suggestions in its marketing and well crafted photography, but this is a refurbed building from the 60s/70s.

As soon as we entered the hotel, we felt at comfortable and in holiday, even the smell at the reception was amazing.

A luxurious yet very cozy place, with an incredible view of the river from both the room and the restaurant.

Wonderfully attentive staff, and absolutely superb food in the restaurant. Great, ever changing, views out over the lagoon. Like going back in time a little, but in the best of ways.

Everything was excellent. A unique place to stay. It is a real castle with in-house museums. You stroll through the corridors and your mind cand comprehend the beauty of the details all around you.

The Belas Vistas Hotel is a modern property located on the "lake" shore. Most (if not all) rooms offer a view onto the lake and countryside, beyond.

Outstanding location with a gorgeous view over the dam. There’s a pool and a “lake beach”. The rooms are modern and spacious.

Our a small group stayed here during a tour of the Vineyards. The hotel is a beautiful contemporary designed reflecting its Danish owners and set on several levels overlooking the river and vineyards.

I had a wonderful stay at the gorgeous Cenica Porto Hotel. From the moment I checked in, I received such a lovely welcome from the team and my room was absolutely wonderful.

Inside this hotel and the service was nothing but impeccable. It is nice that it is not a really big hotel.

We booked as a stop over between Coimbra and Porto, we thought it would be a simple, suburban hotel with easy parking, but we were bowled over by the facilities and the welcome.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in a junior suite overlooking the Douro River in mid February.

We experienced the Vintage Hotel like a large, very comfortable, vintage clubhouse with soft leather sofas, warm winter fires, well sized rooms with high ceilings, and good food.
