Great place! If you're booking don't pay for breakfast included every day. They have a terrace on the top floor and offer a grilled lunch you're going to want to have. The breakfast is great but then you're too full for lunch. Breakfast is offered until 12 noon in this beach town! The terraza was wonderful, especially once we were sun drenched. Enjoy the beach view any time of the day or relax in any of their comfy lounging chairs.

Some people have called this hotel dated but I think they are doing a disservice to the hotel. They have managed to to hold onto the art deco feel while providing all modern facilities you need in beach side hotel. Rooms with balcony and sea view, good Wi-Fi, great breakfast buffet, relaxing lounge area, housekeeping was excellent, front desk friendly. I'd recommend if your coming to Figueira de Foz.

It's in front of the beach. The structure is old. The rooms are big and good.

It is a first line hotel but very outdated. It's a shame because it is big and could be very good hotel the rooms are very small and with a dwarf wardrobe if you are going to go several days. The bathroom is also small that they could remove the tub to gain space.
The reception staff very friendly.

Towels do not change and say useless!

A pleasant hotel close to a large beach area and beautiful coast. Very much a tourist area during the summer season. We were there in the fall and enjoyed walks on the pier and visiting the local stores and farmer's market.

Well placed, very close to the center and the beach. Little noisy, bedding OK. Correct breakfast with egg, bacon, fruit (very good), medium coffee tea and medium orange juice. The equipment is a bit dated.

Old Hotel, but good value for money. In front of the beach and close to many restaurants.

It has a good location. It's on the beach front line. There is a good variety of restaurants and shops near the hotel.
The room was fine. They have the detail of leaving you a jug to heat water with infusions and coffee.
The worst, the cleaning service. You could leave the hotel at 11:00 and arrive at 16:00 and the room was still not doing or were directly trying to enter before 9:00. Another negative thing is that there is no parking in the hotel and to be able to park in the area is an impossible mission without considering that it is regulated by parquimetros and it is quite roll to be pending on your holiday if you are going to put a fine.

It is very close to the beach, relatively close to the exit area and there are quite a few bars and restaurants around, this very well located, to repeat.

We were here in the main season and thus the hotel only gets 3 stars from me because it was too expensive for what it had to offer. The rooms are spacious but kind of old. All in all, the whole hotel would need some renovation. It seems like the best days are over for a while already… Nevertheless the comfort is high. The room service works well, the breakfast was okay and especially the location, directly on the street along the huge beach is really nice. It is also very close to a lot of restaurants and the "inner city" of Figueira. There is no hotel parking. You can park in front of the hotel for 5 € (from 8 to 18 o'clock, after or before that it is free) or behind the hotel in two alleys, where it is totally free but always hard to find a free space. The hotel bar is quite cheap and offers good variety. We did not have lunch or diner here but the offers sounded good. Wifi could be better and as I said the Hotel needs renovation.

Apparently the hotel looks very good. Old rooms and with some flaws. A shame because with a reform would win a lot. Beds need to be renewed. We still have a sore back. We have gone to hotels in this chain in other places like Paris and far from the quality that was offered in the latter. A real shame because for us it was a chain to keep in mind on our travels.

Super well placed superior quality.

A remarkable architecture for this hotel built in 1953 and now managed by the Mercure chain. The original interior decorating elements are beautiful.

Very Good for the Money — right across from Beach, Rooms good, Breakfast good, free parking on road in front — Its not a 5 star Intercontinental which you would pay 4 times the price and for each item — (if one was around) — highly recommend it I just kept adding nights and hub and spoked in a rental car to see different place it was soooo easy.

Breakfast: Enough-few choice rooms: inadequate — dirty and old bathroom: very inadequate — dirty, hairy and unhygienic conclusion: instead of 4 stars it is rather a 2 star hotel.

Sea front hotel with view along the beach. Rooms and reception clean and tidy. Balcony starting to show some age and bath room is beginning to look dated. Breakfast was filling and served in bright dining room with Ocean views. The town lacks quality eating establishments but there is a fantastic beach wth good facilities.

Mercure is a wondeful hotel, simple, clean, great breakfast and nice staff. And the ocean view is really good. Also it has double windows so if you come in a busy season you'll still be able to sleep undisturbed.

The room was big enough, well stocked with coffee & water & the ocean view with private balcony was very nice to have. We had room service our first night & ate outside on the balcony. The food was very good. Overall the staff was helpful and pleasant. Manager was very nice and helped with our great taxi to the airport. The driver of the taxi was excellent & very friendly.

Very nice hotel with a vintage touch. The wall paintings are superb and the sea themes in the decoration are a reminder of Figueira's history.

Perfect location! Clean, nicely decorated hotel. Pleasant staff. Our room had a balcony with sea view; the bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows.

Just in front of the beach, we got a last minute offer and we spend much of our vacation there, the worst thing was that we had a room whose windows were on the opposite side of the beach, but for the price not so bad.
Breakfasts were great, with all what is expected from this type of hotels.
The worst, the cleaning of the rooms was very late, but once left the room as new.

In seafront we found a good hotel to spend a couple of days, the theme was that they gave us a room that was just back to the beach and out the window we saw buildings. Room comfortable but we stayed with it without doing because when we returned to eat, with the healthy intention of take a NAP even they had not done it and in fact it wasn't until approx. 15:30.

I spent five days in this hotel and my opinion is good. Our room was very well decorated, nice and functional. It would have been nice to had a one piece bed instead of putting together two smaller beds. It is important to ask for beach view. Not only for the view but to avoid all the noise from fancoils that rooms (like mine) that points to the inside/side of the building get. It is not possible to open the window in the night and not 'notice' it. Anyway you can close the window and use air-conditioned. Minibar (minifridge) and televisión was ok. The elevators are small but they have two. It's doors are very sensible and could take an extra time to close. The best was the personnel and breakfast (Not much as english breakfast but there is variety and coffee and juice are very good). The well dressed blonde recepcionist was not so kind.
