Coimbra Hotels near Quinta das Lagrimas

No elevator, narrow steep stairs. Cute rooms, surprisingly large refrigerator and a dishwasher. Kitchen stocked better than other places we've stayed. Bed seems comfortable, good linens.

We had the Deluxe Studio and as soon as we arrived we could see how immaculate it was.

Located in the historic University precinct, the hotel is modern and stylish with artsy and literary features. Delicious glass of port on arrival. Breakfast and dinners in the hotel are good.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel.
Margarita welcomed us with great kindness and professionalism, and did her best to help with everything we asked for.

We stayed here for two nights on our driving tour of Portugal.

A beautiful Art Deco hotel situated close to the Mondego river and in the heart of the old city. Wonderful alleys and restaurants close by. The rooms are very clean and some have a great view.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mondego in Coimbra. The hotel was incredibly clean, modern, and very well maintained.

If you are looking for a fantastic boutique hotel in Coimbra this is it! First of all, the decor is very unique. Each room is specially designed.

Lovely hotel, great library themed beautiful hotel that I would highly recommend and will stay again.

This is a lovely hotel, well placed just off the main road by the river. The rooms are well equipped, staff are prompt, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice.

Easy access quality hotel with parking in central Coimbra.
This hotel is easy to access if you are driving to Coimbra. The car park is below the hotel down a ramp.

As frequent travelers, we rarely find a hotel or guest house where absolutely everything is perfect—but República Guest House is exactly that.

Thanks Dona Ilda.

This hotel has a fantastic location right in the old town of Coimbra. The rooms are basic but they great views of the river and the Wi-Fi is good.
The proprietress is friendly and helpful.

Location was ideal to visit the university and the library. There is hotel parking right outside along the street, first come first serve. There is a parking pass the hotel will issue upon checkin.

We recently stayed at the Solar Antigo and were very pleased with the overall experience.

The stuff is realy nice, espevially Fabrina and Joice breakfast was good.

An enjoyable BnB close to the University and easy Old Town access. Uber is the way to travel — cheaper than public transit with 2 or more.

Great place to stay in Coimbra, the rooms are large and beautiful and you get breakfast ingredients in your fridge, as well as daily bread on your door.
The last-floor rooms are quite cramped, though.

This is a fabulous guesthouse located very near the University which has plenty of attractions. We have a suite between two of us so plenty of room.

Pros:
The location is exceptionally good, very close to the main tourist attractions and on an avenue full of shops, including supermarkets.

Good location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

My wife and I stayed in this apartment for four days, very centrally located and very comfortable with nice space and a balcony with a view of university.

The location is not super central but it was a very enjoyable walk.

We had a great experience at this wonderful budget hotel. The owners were unbelievably kind. They kept our luggage for us on our day of checkout. Very very kind! I cannot recommend enough.

Especially in historic cities like Coimbra, I tend to prefer smaller, independent hotels to the big institutional “standard issue” ones, and I can recommend this friendly, clean hotel to anyone who

Great location. Nice room. Spent two nights. Near shuttle to train station and lots of restaurant options. Room could have used a dresser. There is certainly enough room for one.

Our train from Lisbon was almost an hour late due to the strike, but Clara’s warm welcome instantly made us feel at home. The room was spacious and comfy, with two joined king beds and soft pillows.

Cute guesthouse very conveniently located near shipping, restaurants, and the river. Comfortable bed. Codes (instead of keys) used to get into the building as well as your room.

I loved the Pharmacia Guest House!

Room was clean and with airco. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice. The only issue is parking as they only have two spaces in front of the hotel and it's hell to park anywhere in Coimbra.

Simple, perfect hotel. Very good rooms; nice breakfast; very kind personnel! Warmly recommended. And I will be back.

I spent a week in this charming beautiful hotel. It’s extremely clean, quiet and centrally located in Coimbra.

Great location. A 10 minute walk across the bridge to city center. Restaurants and cafes located across the street. Third floor room is not for older people or tall people.

Fantastic room, great views and just across the bridge from Coimbra. Close to everything but out of the touristy area and quiet at night. Great coffee machine in the room.

This place was so amazing, made even better with this apartment stay and the views that came along with it.
Daniel who checked us in was super friendly, allowed us to leave our bags in the office

Well organized, clean and quiet. The ladies working there are absolute gems. We wish we stayed longer…

Good location on a quiet street. We enjoyed our stay and Liliana is a fantastic host.

There are so many positive reviews that I think it’s due to the unique concept. The hotel offers cabins without windows, Japanese style.

Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what you need — a comfortable, cozy, and dark place to get a good night’s sleep.

Stunning property in the upper part of Coimbra within walking distance of the main sights. The rooms are stunningly presented and my bathroom in particular was just beautiful.

A really wonderful apartment in a great location. Fantastic value for money! The heritage building is fantastic, super clean and really well kept.

Elegant Gem in the Heart of Coimbra – Tivoli Coimbra.

Really big rooms. Decide is a little tired and could use some updating — carpets in the room need to be replaced asap. Very helpful staff.

The host Carlos is very friendly, helpful that he even offered to pick use up from the train station.

Very clean, fully equipped and everything is working well. This place is excellent, the owner is very nice and communicative. There are even a washing machine and dryer, which was a pleasant surprise.

Really nice stay, all clean comfortable and with a great design and decorating.
Location is wonderful to walk to the touristic city center (must crossing the bridge).

Our room was clean and fresh. Easy access to the University of Coimbra. Uber cost €3-5 for a ride to the entrance for tours. We were able to walk (in our 60’s) back to our room with little trouble.
