I absolutely loved staying at Solar Antigo! It was one of the most unique places I have ever stayed at. The hotel is lovely. The pictures do not do it justice.

Solar Antigo was great. The rooms were luxuriously decorated with real style, they were clean and had everything you needed.

The Rebello is, by far, my favorite hotel in the Vila Nova De Gaia area! If you are fan of wine and port you got to stay here. One you are so close to the port houses and World of Wine (WOW).

I enjoy mixing things up so the prospect of a Ryokan in historic Viseu piqued my curiosity. And it certainly exceeded any expectations I had.

Viseu Ryokan is a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful place to stay, at which you can feel what true hospitality means.

Organised a group stay here and mostly a positive experience. A new hotel and the rooms a good size and comfortable.

This place is gorgeous. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable. The food at the restaurant in the hotel totally hits the mark. But… what really sets this hotel apart is the staff.

Excellent stay, the property is just exquisite. Biggest regret was only having one night, this is definitely a property that needs 2 nights for you to enjoy all the facilities.

I recommend staying at this hotel to anyone looking for a holiday in Portugal.

Negative:
Pool was very noisy with kids. Some were in jacuzzi all for several hours.
Breakfast area a bit dated. Bulding outside a bit dated but inside mostly fine.

A bit old fashioned, it’s an hotel with decades. Breakfast could have more variety, it has only some variations of the basics.

Exceptional accommodation and setting, relaxing to the maximum degree and good value if you go in low season. Would recommend the suites. Breakfast is good and service is excellent and very polite.

We stayed at Quinta de Travassinhos for 2 nights in July while visiting the Douro Valley and it was an exceptionally beautiful place to stay. The Quinta itself is clean and well maintained.

What a beautiful getaway! Helena and her team made us feel exceptionally welcome and taken care of. The breakfast is fresh and varied, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and have all amenities!

Beautiful hotel! Clean and comfortable. The pool on the roof is great with a fantastic view and a nice bar area. Unexpectedly lovely stay in the small town of Boticas.

Stayed at this hotel many times in 2024 and it has always been highly pleasant. The staff are very welcoming and lovely.

Great hotel! It’s a little bit further away from the waterfront, but it’s very easy and affordable to get around — an Uber was only about €7 each time.

Spent a wonderful night and day here a few weeks ago. Amazing room with the best ocean view balcony. Wonderful Michelin star restaurant and relaxing and calm spa.

This hotel is fabulous! The staff treat you as a guest should be treated, accommodations, balcony, bed, linens, restaurant, spa, all top notch.

You would be hard-stretched to find a better place than this in Viseu. The location is great, just outside the old city and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops.

Montebelo is a local chain of hotels in Portugal (and Mozambique). This Viseu Congress location is a 5 to 10 minutes drive from city center.

WE recently spent two nights at this hotel as we travelled through the wine regions of Portugal on a road trip.

I spent 5 days at this Hotal in August. The occasion was my wedding, and the bride is originally from Nelas.

This review is for the presidential suite. It is a huge suite but basic elements are missing (no shampoo, tissue, iron, etc). The shower was also in need of renovation.

This hotel was well located in the centre of Porto within walking distance of Luiz bridge. The room was spacious and felt quite luxurious. The staff were very nice and helpful.

I was absolutely blown away by this hotel! I booked on Expedia and messaged the hotel directly, they were very responsive. I got an amazing, spacious room with great views of Bom Jesus de Monte.

Right next to the basilica: such a great location! The room was nice, feels newly done and all details were spot on. Amazing view, great shower and the bed was just perfect!

Local coffee shops don’t all have pay points. There are NO ATM’s in the area. Locals complain that they don’t sell anything because tourists use cards and no ATM to withdraw money.

When you travel with family, you want to make sure you don’t make any mistakes in choosing places to stay. When we booked this hotel, we were very excited and looked for a good stay.

So, really I should have gone with a three rating, but did not want to be overly harsh as there was nothing very wrong with this hotel, but neither was there anything very right.

Family holiday for 5 nights — we had a lovely time at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and super helpful, even before we arrived they helped arrange our transfer from the airport.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The rooms are big and clean. We were on the 5th floor. The staff is friendly and free parking is right in front. We also used the outdoor pool.

Great location next to the river and surrounded by mountains with scenic views of nature. Property was clean and well equipped.

Villas was a perfect mix of comfort and scenery. The service was thoughtful, the rooms were clean, beds were great. The fruit trees on property offered fresh lemon and oranges.
