One of the best hotels in the Riviera Maya, excellent food, service, and the rooms, restaurants and super-luxury facilities and above all its very attentive and helpful service people, I flat out return without thinking about it 😁😁

The resort grounds were beautiful, there was an adult pool, a kiddie pool with a slide and a family pool with two big slides. The resort had a fresh water lazy River that was beautiful and easy to access. The rooms were spacious and clean for the most part, the staff were friendly. The only negative to this All Inclusive resort which was a big negative was the quality of the food. The food at the buffet was pretty bad, very little selection, breakfast lunch and dinner was unsatisfying. The Mexican restaurant o. The second floor was pretty, sadly the food portions were small and not filling. That restaurant is also only available for dinner unless you are a member of the resort. The Italian restaurant by the pool only made personal pizzas and they were not so great, and guest had to be fully dressed even though it was pool side. The Grill was also ok, portions small, and you had to be fully dressed even though it was right in front of the pool. We were a party of 21 people, 7 rooms and sadly they could not come through on our request of putting us in the same building. Sadly we would not go here again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had the worst experience, I am very sorry as your landscapes are beautiful, but the treatment leaves much to be desired! The facilities are somewhat neglected and they need a lot of staff, restaurants, or they should reduce the capacity of guests, the treatment was very rude to most of the employees, even some were annoyed if I asked for something, it seemed that I interrupted them for being on their cell phone (especially in the bar near the pool) with the exception of some, of course, like Adriana a girl who cheered at the pool and was in some activities. A very friendly waitress who are in the breakfast restaurant, which is only one by the way! The lines at the restaurants are huge most of the time and they don't even come close to telling you that you have to wait or the estimated time. The food is nothing new and the taste leaves a lot to be desired too. They exchanged our room with another family since they had a mistake when delivering it and they didn't even take the delicacy to check for how many days our reservation was for since on the third day our reservation was canceled! I had the worst experience I had ever had in Riviera Maya and by the way the distinction between members and guests with “all inclusive" packages is huge! Necessarily you have to take a car or ask for a taxi since it cannot support you to leave the hotel and the distance is huge!

Such a relaxing and enjoyable resort. Lots to see and do. There is no need to leave the resort.

Efficiency, large rooms, excellent customer service, gourmet food, great amenities, great entertainment staff and family friendly. Only one thing that happened to us very unpleasant. The first day of my stay, my wife and I were in the room and a guest entered the room with another key and said, sorry, I was in the wrong room. I went to reception and they only canceled all the keys and reprogrammed the bracelet for us. We went to resepvion twice because my wife's bracelet never worked in restaurants.

Great, reasonable resort. Plenty of activities on sight, and even more tours available. Pool, drinks, and helpful staff, make for a relaxing trip. And don't forget to cool off with an invigorating swim in the cenote, and down the river to the beach.

This property is amazing. Can’t go wrong. Great service and plenty of activities. No need to leave the prop, but is you want to, services are available. Very safe and conscious of COVID protocol. Shout out to Cesar on the kayak tour, very knowledgeable and great service.

We had an AMAZING time here last week. The pools were fabulous, the workers were amazing. We had a great time doing the various activities. The food was decent and the drinks kept coming! I would love to travel here again.

The staff go above and beyond! Antonio in the white croc shoes by the pool was amazing! We appreciated him so much! The entertainment crew were always fun!

Im just checking out of this resort and I must say I am living with the feeling of coming back next year, great accommodations, great activities, great food and must of all great service from all of the staff, I was here from the 6 to the 10th of July, just a little after they reopen because of quarenrine because of covid, like everywhere there were some restrictions, but the staff everywhere I went were very accomodating, my husband got stomach flue but had to be at the presentation (the second day), we were never pressure to buy, they were never rude like I was told they are if you don't buy, and we got a phone call from from desk at night to see how my husband was doing (we asked for the doctor earlier) the next day we went for breakfast and the waiter asking how he was doing, we stay 2 more day the entire time we saw a waiter of when we ask for room server, they asked us if he was doing OK, they knew our names, wich is awesome cause is like you been there for more then a week, cristel, Joaquín, felix y geovani, Antonio, were amazing as well as the rest of the team, but those tmare the names I remener most, so with this I want to say thank you and special thabk you to the sales team for being comprehensive (pepe, fabricio, libio)

Very relaxing, beautiful place, lots of great food, the people are wonderful especially Santiago the waiter around the pool and Jamie and Cristian the activity guides. There are a lot of things to do and see.

We have been treated incredibly! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and very diverse. Always had some activity going on if you wanted to participate, or if you wanted quiet time there were always the private areas to go lay in the sun. There were tons of activities for kids, mini golf, soccer field, games, arts and crafts, and of corse the huge pool.
We will definitely be coming back here in the future.

The accommodations were superb! Food was really good! Beer was always cold and the mix drinks were almost too strong (in a good way) and the staff were all kind and helpful! We had an overall excellent time during our stay for our 20th Wedding Anniversary! Now let’s talk about the ugly shadows lurking inside of this BEAUTIFUL Mexican owned and operated Resort. Whatever you do… DO NOT… I REPEAT… DO NOT even think about purchasing a time share or one of their many vacation club memberships! 100% SCAM! Everything they told us during the presentation was littered with 1/2 truths and lies! We formally requested to cancel the vacation membership that we purchased within the stated terms of the contract and they basically told us that we’re still responsible for the payment per Mexican law even if we cancelled our membership! Seriously!?!? Why would I cancel my membership if I still had to pay for it? Looking back, it’s probably a tactic to get you to delay cancelling so that the contract sticks? I’m not 100% about this but it sure does seem plausible given all the crap that they put us through! Renee Kristofferson (one of the Membership Service Manager/Supervisors) literally told me verbatim “That’s how it’s done in Mexico! ” (Referring to Mexican law and contracts). I of course disagreed, did my research and contacted BarClays (who they use to finance memberships) and opened a fraud case with them.

Our stay at the resort was a wonderful experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful and most of them were able to communicate in English, which was a relief for us. Room service was prompt and easily accessible 24/7. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The biggest thing for us though was how the resort was able to be sensitive to the environment in its operations and encouraging people to be conscious about the environment during the tours. 5 stars.

Tres Rios is an absolute amazing resort. Everything from the moment we arrived till we left was a wonderful experience.

We had a great stay at Hacienda Tres Rios. The room and the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. They have several restaurants on site. Several activities and evening events to participate in.

This resort goes beyond words. I came here about 10 years ago and fell in love and coming back has made me wish I lived here. Surrounded by a mangrove forest with a Cenote and river going through the mangroves. It is on a private ocean beach and multiple pools. The best part is I am having my wedding here next year, costing thousands less than in the states, and the staff help take care of and plan EVERYTHING.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! do not under any circumstance sign up for the club sunset membership! this is a scam to get tourists money, they will try and lock you in to a contract that even when you try to cancel they do nothing but give you run around and will never give you a refund of any amount paid. I attempted to cancel my membership before the contract was completed and they refuse to help. Worst company to deal with save yourself time anger and money! stay clear of these money hungry leaches!

Great place to be… Rooms are clean, staff very helpful and the food… you got to have it. Three course meal, all buffet style with four other restaurants on compound but they are "a la carte". There's entertainment every night and bars opened with waiters to serve you.

The place is amazing. I love the fact that it's surrounded with nature. The people who works here are friendly and helpful. The food, activities and entertainment are great. The only thing that disappoint me is their beach. But their Cenote is amazing. It's crystal clear. I would recommend this place to anyone. My family enjoyed our stay here at Hacienda Tres Rios.

Had a great time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and beds were actually confy. Most all food we ordered was really good but adult beverages could use much improvement. If your the adventurous type and like to explore outside the resort, then the all inclusive is a bad investment.

Nice eco centered resort. We were given a voucher for a 5 day stay and only had to pay for the all inclusive fee. We we're greeted by a concierge which unfortunately gave us that seemed to be mostly inaccurate information. Also, bring mosquito repellent — I received over 20 bites while on their kayak trip in a matter of minutes. The food was good, and the vast majority of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall I'd recommend the facility even though it's a bit of a drive from both Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

We experienced some of the best customer service and the resort is kept immaculate daily. And the food is amazing! I would recommend everybody this resort.

Everything is perfect. Good service, delicious food, everything is clean, good customer service. The beach is not clean because it was raining but you have lots of things to do inside. There are games, dance floor, pool table, coffee shop, etc.

The place is good, the rooms are spacious and clean, has different and interesting activities to do. The food in general of the firm is not rich except certain things. My bad experience at this hotel is by the staff that mostly (I clarify not all) are not helpful, they have a bad mood if you ask for something and do not have it instead of offering you any solution simply tell you there is not; They basically treat you like they're doing you a favor by attending you; In addition, in many places they do not count either food or drink that in theory they offer; Very bad experience I leave the place hurts as it has potential.

Great place to stay in touch with nature, happy to be here, I could see raccoons, badgers, snakes and fish! Very Happy! And all the time they had the courtesy to do some decorating with the towels!

As far as the food there is plenty of it if you get the all-inclusive which we did but the food is mediocre at best except for the fruit which they grow right there from what I understand and they grow all the vegetables too … it's just prepared poorly I have never seen people not know how to distribute toppings on nachos or a pizza properly and this was on more than one occasion. Our concierge, Yuda (pronounced jewdar), we met the day we got there and we never saw him again except maybe one more time at a promotional presentation where they tried to pressure us into buying into Hacienda Tres Rios. The presentation was only supposed to last 90 minutes to 2 hours and ran over four and a half hours and we repeatedly told them we were not interested and they kept pressuring us and pressuring us to the point it brought my wife to tears. The best of the whole experience was the pool Butler Raphael who was the only one that took care of us and made us feel special.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! The staff was friendly and the food was fabulous. The cleanliness and the amenities were second to none! I wish I took a picture to share. The pools, beaches, rooms, landscaping, kayak river, and ecopark were phenomenal! I'll definitely be staying there again!

The tours were amazing Diego and Christian were fantastic! Food was delicious I recommend the sushi at kotori mmmmmmm. Staff was helpful and sweet. The breakfast. Buffet staff was stellar they got my husband mango juice every morning even though it wasn't offered. The bar tender at the cabana by the pool is funny and remembered our drinks all week. Only complaint was they ran out of tonic water, coconut juice, coconut ice cream, and green tea and never restocked so no vodka tonics or cocolocos which are my husbands go to vaca drinks. I loved this place and fully recommended it! Get the All inclusive and take the tours! Beautiful place not over crowded and you can always find a bed by the beach or a chair by the pool in the shade.

Nice place. But I had an accident this morning in our room. Our air conditioning leaked on the tile floor and I slipped. We reported it right away. And maintenance came and fixed the problem and cleaned all the water on floor but were never concerned about me. Very poor concern on their part. Thank goodness I didn't hit my head.

One of the BEST Spring Break my family ever had! The BEST SERVICE ever! From the hotel staff, outdoor recreation personnel, concierge, transportation, dining personnel — EXCELLENT! We will be back DEFINITELY! Especially, being partners in Playa del Carmen's development and progress is in our hearts now! The hotel is beautiful and clean; The comfortable room; They offer various activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, guided tours and others; The food is more than delicious (in each and every one of its restaurants) ; The attention of respectful staff, friendly, cordial and above all ready to serve and help… The reasons why I do not give 5 stars are: firstly has no beach, secondly at times the smell of water becomes unbearable and last rainy days do not They have a roof or at least umbrella to cross from one building to the other… it is very uncomfortable to be wet and with the air conditioning freezing especially in the evenings… If the sand and the sea are fundamental elements in your holiday this is not the ideal place… but if those are insignificant details and you like the pool is the best place to enjoy.

If I could give a negative I would! Their racist against Americans, serve your drinks in dirty glasses, you don't know what kind of alcohol your drinking from the outside bars, the bottles are dirty looking that they pour from. All 3 of us got sick at least once from something we ate or drank! We didn't leave the resort yet so we know it was from the resort, we had a silver ring disappear from our room… we reported it, and went to the pool… came back and there was a note in our room stating that they noticed while cleaning we left valuables sitting out! There were no valuables sitting out, just something to cover their asses! Pools were discussing slimmy bottoms, water below filtering system… the only plus was a area by the beach, but there were racist employees there also. UPDATE It's sad the owner made a remark "sorry they didn't meet my expectations " take this to heart people… they WANT to be smart asses with their comment and this is how you get treated while you are there and after. They have people get on here and give them 5 stars, my expectations are not to get food poisoning, and not be treated differently because we are AMERICANS!

The concierge was terrible, actually forgot to schedule my ride to the airport. Overall the resort is fairly nice. Their beach was still in shambles from hurricane William 2 years ago, but that is beyond their control. They have multiple pools all huge. However none of them are very deep, so no diving. They also had no hot tub, not even a bath tub in the room. The tour guides are particularly friendly, but most of the staff was aloof and not helpful. The real problem we had was a lack of communication in the staff. Unless the person we were speaking with was able to accomplish the task then and there, it didn't get done. We were their on a promotional invitation to become members, as such we were given a guided tour that that was supposed to happen the morning after we arrived and last 90 to 120 minutes. They forgot about us twice and had to do it the last day of our trip and it took us 4 hours, twice the slotted time. Bottom line, go if you like awesome pools with wait staff brining you food and drinks. If that isn't what you are looking for this isn't the destination for you. I would also recommend against becoming a member unless you absolutely fall in love with the place. Their are at least a dozen other places to stay in the area and you will only save money with a membership if you come back several times.

The place is beautiful and the food very good, we didn't stay there so I don't know how it would be but we went for a sales visit to be part of their membership club. Particularly I found a scam the method of persuasion and insistence that act to try to get into the club. Fortunately we did not accept the proposal and then we read and we informed more about it and lacks a lot of good fame and even talked about scam. Pleasant was our surprise that at the time of not accepting no longer went we consider inside the hotel and then request that we return to our hotel without enjoying its facilities.

Cool I loved it, the hotel Magnifico, the river and the Xenote a very good adventure, the deal super well Recomendadisimo.

Fantastic resort. All of the staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Lots to do from Kayaking on the river, miniature golf, beach and pool volleyball, sports bar, pool table, painting, lots of food. Most of all very relaxing. The rooms are beautiful. An overall great experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Kayaking and snorkeling are very fun activities, even more with the guide of Oscar and Salvador who are are very friendly people, same as David and John Paul with his bike plan I was very funny despite the falls. Also the sensory activity was very pleasant to experience aromas, textures; Anyway, we had a great fun. In general it is a very nice place the invitation for all who go participate in these activities are very safe!.
Ah forgot the people who attended us in each of the restaurants were very attentive!

Service is excellent. Rooms are clean and nice. The pool and most amenities are great. Food is okay. The beach was a huge disappointment. The activities are geared more towards families but are still fun for all ages.

Hacienda Tres Rios is one of our favorites! Great staff and great service… all the time! Rolando a waiter in the buffet was seamed to be dialed in to every possible need and Karly kept a watchful eye on the cleanliness of it, great job guys! Food was great, portions were excellent and our grandchildren called the coffee and desert cafe " Grandmas Place"! Tres Rios has a huge nature park, 3 cenotes to snorkel in or kayak down. The Kayaks and sail boats were included and we did not need to waste a lot of time waiting around for them however the sail boats were not available if weather conditions were not favorable for sailing. The Beach area is not the most pristine I have seen but did not bother us at all.

We have been at Hacienda Tres Rios in Playa del Carmen for 2 weeks. Raphael is the pool concierge. He has gone above and beyond to ensure that we had chairs and towels poolside. He booked spa services for us which allowed us numerous discounts. He makes certain that you have everything and anything that you may need or want. He treats everyone like family. He also offers free fresh fruit poolside and has cleaned our sunglasses everyday. He made our stay extra special. We will truly miss him when our vacation comes to and end. Great 10 day stay. The only down falls are the beach due to the mangroves (they are working on fixing this) and the concierge's communication. The food and rooms were great. There is a lot to do as well such as bicycle tours, snorkeling tours, kayak rentals and tours etc. There are shows some nights but not every night. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is beautiful but unfortunately it has almost no beach. All the shore is black color, river product I guess. The staff is very friendly. They have a very compulsive sales system can have hours trying to convince you very politely but prevent you from analyzing in private contracts and that could harm you if you do not understand what you sign.

One of the nice aspects of Tres Rios instead of the other resorts is that there is no need to leave it. Multiple restaurants that prevents the feeling of not having enough variety, two separate beaches, boating activities and a staff that creates all sorts of fun activities to do result in a complete vacation experience in Playa. Having part of our honeymoon there was an incredibly relaxing experience. The butlers went above and beyond. I posted a photo of what they did to our room. Food was decent but I can not say enough about the Buffet which was incredible.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful calm resort! Lovely staff and an AMAZING kids club That being said … the tour and sales team are liars thieves, we did. The 30-90 min presentation and had too many drinks and signed up. Later after reading through everything said and promised realized what a HUGE mistake we had made. We then returned two days later to cancel. No problem they said and we trusted them! BIG MISTAKE We are now struggling to find anyone to cooperate We had an amazing family holiday that is now tainted by this completely AWFUL experience and I hope toNEVER visit this country or resort AGAIN.

It is a small hotel with very nice rooms, variety of attractions in the hotel for boy and big, very good food, a hotel where they produce their own brand of beer. It is a quiet and very Familiar atmosphere.

Nice place for a few days to relax. Staff is good. Rooms, pools, food are good. We went to buffet place, Thai restaurant we tried once, food in the buffet seemed to be better. Special thanks to hostesses Fernanda and Carolina, very pleasant young ladies. The only thing I hate was when they clean their walkways outside cleaning with bleach and creating puddles. While walking I splashed it on my navy sweat pants and now I have several white spots in the back, totally spoiled my favorite pants. They should’ve considered that. Overall experience was ok.

Very nice. The attention is adequate. The all inclusive does not feel as such; Half the things in the entry booklet have asterisks that indicate that they are only for certain partners.

A wonderful place based on the eco system. I totally enjoyed my time there and the staff were very attentive. Warning : walk with insect repellent because we were bitten quite a lot by mosquito and other insects. Food is a variety and tasteful.

Excellent place, good food, attentive staff, ideal for those looking for good service and enjoy nature, a variety of activities for all tastes.

If we only would have stayed one day this would be a 5 star review. But unfortunately we stayed 5 days. Day one was amazing. We were able to relax in the pool a little and eat some amazing food. The resort has a few places to eat and though we heard some had gotten food poisoning from one we only had wonderful food. The room was exciting and had a great view but is the beginning of the bad of our trip. With no rugs or mats to keep from slipping on the very smooth tile floors my wife slipped into the glass table shattering it and slicing open her elbow. As I went to pick her up I sliced off part of my toe. We couldn't get anyone to come to our room for 20 minutes, but once they did they wanted me to pay the house doctor in cash to get stitches. I've heard of this scam and refused. After that we still had as much of a good time as possible on the little to no beach area that is not depicted in the photos. And snorkels down the dark dirty murky river. It took them 3 days to fix our phone that magically stopped working after our accident. So we were not able to do much room service that was part of our "all inclusive". The last straw was the "presentation" hat we were forced to go to. If we didn't we would pay $400 a piece more. It was supposed to take 90 minutes. At least that's what we were told about 10 times before going. 2 hours in were were able to tell them we are not buying their time share. 3 hours after that they finally let us leave.

Absolutely love this resort and would recommend to anyone looking for a resort. The staff up front were amazing, and extremely helpful… they were able to cater to our needs with the type of room we wanted (with an amazing view). The most fun we had was with Yo who took us out on a catamaran for an amazing ocean adventure… he made it really fun and educational. Food and drinks were amazing… but best feature is how absolutely gorgeous they keep the grounds… literally paradise!

Our stay at Hacienda Tres Rios was awesome. The rooms were beautiful, the staff was nice and the activities were fun! This was our first all-inclusive experience. I wasn't totally blown away by the food, but the convenience and service were top knotch. My massage with Rosario was the BEST and tastings with Aldo were FABULOUS!

Everything is clean, service is very good. Small room problems were addressed in a timely manner. Many of the employees have a difficult time understanding English, understandable since we are in Mexico, but they do try extra hard to please to make up for it. The pools could use more handrails, warmer water and restrooms nearby, but they are lovely, and clean with sun and shade areas. All inclusive, with many restaurants to choose from, we've had some excellent meals. So far, a very good vacation experience.

A great place to stay! the beach WILL have some seaweed (black water). However ALL the beaches along the coast will have that. Most off the staff know English. However the night staff does not speak it. We bought the all inclusive package and was very satisfied by it. Food was great. The activity staff is great with the kids. Will be staying here next year. Also loved how Eco they were.

This place is so laid back and cozy. Very eco friendly. They try to blend everything in with the surrounding natural settings. Yet maintain a upscale elegance that takes a delicate balance. Highly recommend.

Good organization of the triathlon, the collaborators should have a better attitude with the client even though it is not a host, we also pay for the triathlon.

I was 1 week, where; The bad: * Half-day we were offered a membership that is not wanted and that we should witness, and give them credit card or otherwise pay a fine of 300 usd
* The hotel beach is BLACK! literally, where necessarily need to seek out other beaches. * The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, where you need to rent a car to get out. * All The restaurants at night are not open every day, and there is not much variety of food. The good: * Good attention
* Hotel facilities very good
* Good Wi-Fi.

Excellent eco-resort on the mayan riviera. Tons of family friendly activities, cenotes on property, river and ocean snorkeling!

Herencia guest… rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Food options for the all inclusive are good. Great breakfast buffet. Beach and pool staff are attentive.

The only detail was the bad attitude of the waiters of the restaurant The Grill, everything else, wonder.

Area is very nice, but a little lacking for kids activities. There are some cinotas on the property that are very cool and fun to explore. Wait staff was very nice and friendly so that was another plus. Hard to get a room with a decent view though since it is pretty dense with vegetation.

Great food! So many different choices! Fun entertainment, almost every night! You can be at the pool or right on the beach! Or you can go snorkeling/kayaking in a river that's as clear as glass! It was an awesome experience all around. There's so much to do and see! Would definitely recommend!

Being gluten free, I frequently have issues when I travel. Hacienda Tres Rios offered me gluten free meals at every restaurant and Dining room. I even got a hand made pizza. The staff are all gracious and friendly. The food is all fresh and delightful. I loved our room in Bldg. 4. The members beach was so much better than the other side. Loved it all.

Extraordinary. The attention, the food, the activities, the facilities.

I had a spectacular time — spotlessly clean room, grounds, facilities. The place is beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, the private balcony has a great view and a jacuzzi. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and well furnished. The food was good. Most important — the staff to a person could not have been nicer, more pleasant, or more helpful. I travel with a mobility scooter and the entire resort was directly and seamlessly accessible, including all the rooms. In fact the only single issue with accessibility is that the toilets should be taller. The showers are a piece of cake for anyone needing to shower in a wheelchair. Could not recommend this resort more highly.

GOOD: rooms, food, care, activities to do in a hotel, etc, BAD: make you go to a meeting for you to purchase a vacation package that costs $200.000 dollars force you to go out and take credit card but you have to pay a fine, besides you lose the whole day in the meeting and if you don't buy they are angry with you, as we don't buy we were told that never more we could re-host there was a constant pressure to give money, it seemed to me too bold to we were told to buy nothing but are the $200, 000 and dolaritos. Beach quite dirty with algae you can't put.
