Excellent very central place near the 5av to rest and vacation.

A good location with fair prices.

This is the second time me and my family have stayed at Porto Playa. We stayed in condo 221, which is a spacious 3 story, 3 bedroom penthouse unit with a rooftop jacuzzi, shower, grill, eating area, and ocean views. It is one of the only units in town with this configuration. El Taj is an ocean front, sister hotel which you will have full access to 2 blocks away. Porta Playa provides a discount card that can be used at serval area restaurants. All in all, Porta Playa is a georous property, with georgous condos steps from 5th Avenue.

Very nice Hotel and the room was very clean. Very nice interior garden, with shaded areas under the plants. Very close to the pedestrian area with shops and restaurants. Beautiful view, very friendly staff, super recommended!

Half-luxury Hotel. All inclusive. Variety of restaurants. Of all categories. Nice rooms. Comfortable. Very central. A few steps away from Fifth Avenue. And a few steps from the beach and the ferry to the island of Cozumel.

The apartments are very nice, the location is very good, they are half a block from the 5th. Avenue and one block from the Beach club. Super friendly staff and were attentive at all times to anything we needed.

The location was great and the breakfast was good.

Traniquiló Place, close to the beach and about 5 ° Avenue, well placed, good attention, good place to stay.

Excellent service and very good… would return without hesitation… would improve just a little breakfast tastes to little compared to His Excellency… my congratulations to their owners, staff and auxiliaries that all day give the best of themselves for the facilities are what they are.

The restaurant is definitely one of the best in the Mayan Riviera. The service is excellent and the food exquisite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is exclusive and relaxing, it resembles the New York style and is definitely one of the places that is worth visiting in Playa del Carmen for those who like gastronomy.

Super location close to the beach, very comfortable, clean and safe. The beds are really comfortable. Everything you need to cook and all is in excellent condition.

Playa de Carmen is what it is. How ever the Porto Playa Condo is loverly small Oasis right next to the 5th Ave jungle.

I have been in this hotel for a 5 day vacation with my family. The rooms/apartments are very nice and clean. The service is great.

We stayed in the 3 bdr penthouse and loved it! Perfect location for our family and the kids loved the pool and complimentary shuttle to the beach! We loved every minute of our stay!

Penthouse was totally worth it. The main pool is great, but the view is better from the private rooftop patio. A full water cooler was provided, with a refill, and lots of fridge space for our own stuff both in the main kitchen and on the rooftop mini fridge. Mamitas beach club has the best sand (other places nearby had some serious beach erosion) and that's the closest beach. Shuttles to other beach fronts, but not sure why you would bother with mamitas right there. We spotted Senor Frogs beach club by the ferry on there way to Cozumel — glad we didn't waste time at that one.

Very much enjoyed our stay. I wish I would have stayed longer. Has all the amenties needed on a great location. Beautiful rooms and decor. We stayed in one of the larger units which was very spacious and plenty of room for everyone. Three levels, each with its own patio. We also BBQ on the private terrace on the propane grill and lounged in the private jacuzzi. All private amenities!

Just came back from a wonderful trip with my wife. I loved the place. Staff is great, you can just walk out and everything, literally everything is a few meters from there, the location is perfect. Jewel shops, restaurants, shopping, coffee, pizza place, convenience stores, the 5th avenue with its busy and entertaining nightlife. There's also interior parking if you drive there, so your care is not left under the sun. Had the penthouse with private terrasse on the roof and SPA. I will definitely return.

Great location! Beautiful unit and and very clean and relaxing hotel. Only down fall is beach is not relaxing. Several fishing/scuba boats on beach front and smells pretty bad. If that doesn't bother you than it's perfect.

This was our second trip to Porto Playa, both times we stayed in 220. A gorgeous unit with rooftop Jacuzzi and BBQ. We were given a discount as return guests, which was much appreciated. It is located at a perfect setting with a beautiful SUNNY and quite pool in a lush green tropical setting to provide privacy and quaint feeling that is not common at bigger hotels. The furnishings were all modern, comfortable and very tasteful. The staff were all outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The upgrades, since our last stay were a bonus, such as free Wi-Fi, and breakfast was included at Imprevist (it was so amazing that we even chose to eat diner there a couple of nights). We also enjoyed many of the restaurants they recommended and offered a 10% discount for dinners and they we're all delicious. The gym is awesome too, we used it everyday, as well as the beach passes at the club. We also took advantage of the spa with massages, facial and pedicure… all wonderful. Our only complaint… is having to leave. We will return, we had such a wonderful stay, thanks so much!

We had a fabulous week… Super attentive in the condo and all the people of indigo beach!

I spent two weeks in this hotel around New Years 2010. It's a pristine location, steps away from the beach and the busy 5th avenue where most of the shops and restaurants are. Ammenities are top notch, the management is courteous, the security guards very friendly. Beware of the noise however: if you're a party goer and never sleep before 5am, this could be the place for you. If you want to relax and take it slowly, forget about sleeping. The noise from the neighboring clubs (they're less than 100 ft away) is overpowering, shaking windows and furniture at times. Also, if you take a 1-bedroom, chances are you'll get unit 303 where sleeping is almost impossible: the water pipe system is directly over the bedroom of that unit, it makes a permanent racket. I'm not sure who did the plumbing but they must have screwed something up. I've noticed the management several times there but the only thing they could do is relocate us to a larger unit (at no cost). That unit had issues of its own, more street noise and rowdy neighbors upstairs who managed to break one of the sliding french doors. You can't blame it on the hotel, nevertheless I wish they were a bit more considerate of the type of guest they welcome. I really wish I did not have such problems because it's such a nice location and such a great hotel. Returning there however is not an option, I'll stick to hotels a bit further away from 1st and 5th, possibly less convenient, but where sleeping is actually possible.
