The worst buffet in terms of taste, variety and temperature of the food. Poor attention from waiters and lousy service to book for the other restaurants. When I told my dissatisfaction to the young man at the reception who jumped me on my waiting shift, his answer is that with tequila it is solved hahaha. I certainly wouldn't go back.

Do not stay here. Worst experience I have ever had in another country. I booked a 4 person room with 2 double beds and when we checked in they told me the room was only booked for 1 person and I would have to pay $45 USD per person for the other 3 people. When I had already paid over $200 for the room that fits 4. They also told me it was $45 per person for the all inclusive package, which I did not have, so I told them it’s not for all inclusive just normal package and they said it’s still $45…. Then I was told I could contact Expedia and they could change it for free. When I contacted Expedia, I was told their policy is that they have to call the hotel, and the hotel told them it would be $150 USD per person. So it magically tripled in price just so I would be forced to pay the $45. The male manager was disgusting, screamed and my friends and I, and when I politely asked to see a written policy that states the charge is $45, he yelled at me that he was calling the police. I was exhausted and frustrated so I paid the extra $140. When we went to check out, we noticed they had a slide show behind the front desk and on the bottom it said the MAXIMUM charge for an extra guest is $92 MXN (which is $18 USD). I tried to take a picture of it and the woman behind the desk changed it and then told me it was “frozen” on another slide so that I couldn’t take a picture. Absolutely horrendous experience & treatment from the staff.

We arrived late Saturday night. After checking in we went to the buffet for some much needed food! A-mazing! Good presentation: was safe, fresh, friendly service. Our waiter, Wilson, was awesome. We got lost trying to find our room but we were “rescued” by the most polite uniformed man who walked us all the way home! I’m already in love with “the best kept secret” in Cancun!

This hotel was great… even though we have one small not so good moment the second day, the staff and management solve the problem quickly. The swimming pools are great. All of the bars, are great. The beach is beautiful and clean. The whole place is pretty clean. All the staff members are polite and respectful. Definitely will stay in this place on a future occasion…

Hotel Emporio is a wonderful place to stay while in Cancun. It was clean, the room was beautiful, food was good, very nice staff.
On the last day Rachel at the bar fixed us a cocktail that she thought we would like. It was excellent! There was no name for it so we named it "The Rachel" I wish we had more time, 5 days wasn't enough. I would definitely stay here again.

Emporio was a beautiful resort and clean. The entire staff treated my daughter and myself her mother like family and always made us happy and made our vacation amazing. I would highly recommend this resort to my family and friends. Thank you everyone at Emporio especially Jose Reyes (pool staff) remarkable among the cleaning staff with their fancy designs they left on our beds and animal designs made of towels just to put a smile on our faces every day. The food and drinks were all amazing at Emporio. Thank you to everyone from the moment we stepped to check in to the moment we left everyone working at Emporio is amazing and I miss you all.

This is an awesome place, not far from the airport and it has its own private beach with daily access if you're guest. They have an awesome breakfast buffet which is never a dull moment and the pools are constantly clean. Rooms are big (at least the one I was in) we had a private balcony, living area, dining, dish washer like a mini apartment though! So you can eat in or just make your own meal. Staff are friendly and nice, always there to help even when you don't speak Spanish, they try their best with English. They gym is okay, had the basic stuff to get you going so you don't grow fat on the food. I'm still exploring the place so stay tuned…

Hotel highly recommended, family atmosphere and if you are looking to rest is the ideal place. In the room, the bed and pillows very comfortable. All the collaborators very friendly and especially the food of the restaurant seasoning as was to be expected very rich, varied and all very hygienic.
As an area of opportunity I can comment that there is not much variety of drinks in the bar and the list of TV channels we found very little varied.

The best hotel we've ever had in Cancún. We got a beach front room with a kitchen and living room. Although it was a little bit outdated, it has a nice charm and was kept clean. We enjoyed being able to see the sunrise and step out into the beach. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurants were just okay nothing special. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

The worker who attended us at reception very rude. Terrible Beds, very deteriorated, very bad smell of pillows, sheets and mattresses by humidity and poorly washed. Very dirty light Switches. It Is a very old hotel that needs to be modernized. Beautiful Beach and breakfast acceptable. The pictures of the rooms nothing to do with the hotel page.

I stayed for a week at this hotel. The beach is excellent, the condiment restaurant. It is a buffet and is varied, has an Italian restaurant, gym, the pool is big, the room, super. The. Excellent mattresses. The cleanliness and attention very good. I recommend it.

The staff very friendly, the facilities in regular condition and with stickers of the Emporium on the name in the furniture of the old hotel, on the fourth day I noticed that it was filtering the water from the top floor in the bathroom area also I find that it has many ESC To get to the rooms facing the sea because they are in repairs and the usual route is obstructed. There are areas of improvement definitely.

Located in the hotel zone of Cancun. The rooms are old but clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and the food from the restaurants is good with variety. The beach area is very well maintained.

My cousin and I only have positive things to say of our 7 days spent at Emporio! We were 2 women in our late 30's. Everyone is super friendly and courteous! The buffet has a fresh variety and is thematic everyday. Great care in the cleanliness of rooms and grounds. Shout out to Jorge Flores who works at the beach food/beverage, his smile and kindness did not go unnoticed! We recommend 100%.

We stayed in a beachfront room which was awesome. Service was exceptional. Construction is going on so if you don't mind hearing drills while swimming at the pools it's a great place. Food at the restaurants are fine nothing outstanding. Beach is beautiful and waves are perfect to play in.

Everything is good, took without food, in fact that's what goes, but for that, you can eat where you want, for two dinner goes $100. The Rooms are clean, and if you leave the dollar, all the napkins and towels will gather in flowers. The Grounds are nice. There is a big difference in the area and the price is not very different.

What a fantastic Resort. From the moment you walk in and see the overview of the resort property from the pool that overlooks the ocean. All the way to the beach area. My son and I both had a massage on the beach. The food was fantastic the service was great. We were extremely fortunate to open up our door and have a perfect view of the ocean. It couldn't have been better.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The beach Club is nice and spacious, the pools also. The hotel has an old part, a new one and a tower that is on site. The breakfast was very good. The only thing I didn't like was that our room faced a large balcony but we couldn't get in because it was from the room next door.

I absolutely give the hotel Emporio Cancun 5 Stars. I would give them more than five stars if I could. We stayed there for five days and everything about our trip was utterly fantastic. The front desk, the Bellman, the people at the swimming pool, the wait staff out by the beach all were super friendly, and very accommodating. We ordered lunch at the beach every day and our food and drinks were excellent, and reasonably priced. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and there were plenty of chairs for all of the gifts. The swimming pools were gorgeous.

Check in was a breeze, polite and helpful staff throughout. We had purchased room only but decided to upgrade to all inclusive. When I went down to the front desk to make the change it was 7:30pm. The receptionist recommended I wait till tomorrow since the day was gone, I was grateful he didn’t try to take advantage of me.

I only had to stay one night at this hotel. Staying is entering a maze. Very complicated with ups and downs. Not suitable for handicapped people. No breakfast included. The rooms are old and I only value their good beach.

The hotel itself is massive and located right in front of the beach. The rooms weren't amazing but they did the job. Price is very fair, you get what you pay for and bit more. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They granted an extra hour for late checkout, so that was great. Positive insights on Hotel Emporio Cancun, overall.

Spacious and modern rooms. It also has complete apartments for 6 people, good breakfast, very good attention. Good beach. The truth location is good but a little bit away from the Central hotel area.

It is an all-inclusive hotel, on the beachshore, the room was very complete and very well taken care of in terms of cleanliness, the bellboys give excellent attention, has two nice pools, one for children and the other for adults with bar service and open until very night and in l to the beach there are cabanas and bar service, the views are most amazing. I recommend it.

If you don't have a car, outside the hotel you can take any truck or bus.

BEAUTIFUL Hotel GREAT breakfast. Direct exit to the beach. Very good personal. I'm slugging the kids cheerleading. If they weren't there, you can't tell.

If you want to go to rest in Cancun is a good hotel; but if what you are looking for is that it has night activities the hotel is not recommended since the activity ends at 11 at night and is limited to the bar where the only fun is television; overall the service is good, the food is not always and sometimes it is overtaken by the capacity of the hotel.

I had visited here many years ago when it was the Royal Mayan, and knew it had been completely refurbished. In fact one wing was still being worked on. Location still excellent, pools and beach fabulous. Buffet at breakfast was lavish. The suites have been divided, and my room had large shower but no bathtub. Bus transportation a short walk away. Friendly and courteous staff. Would visit again.

Rooms with sea view or lagoon on the top! Very good value for money! Very américanisee and very average restoration, damage.

Huge 2 bedroom family suites sleep 8 have full kitchens and living rooms. Our people love that 5 of these is 40 people all together. 3 patios on these 2 bedroom condos to ocean as well. Beachfront in the sand bar. Pics are of new standard rooms in new tower.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Just wished they've found my son shorts that flew out to another's balcony, 2 days before I was leaving but oh well. Other than that it was a nice place with good staff. Next time I may go all inclusive because maybe I would of enjoyed myself more.

We planned our vacation MONTHS in advance. We get to the hotel and after 2 hours they still can't find our reservation and despite showing them our confirmation email, booking number etc… they MAKE US get on the phone to figure it out with the booking site. This is supposedly a 4-star hotel! We got charged over $150 in international calling trying to figure out our room. After 2 hours of haggling we finally got our room and they found our reservation. We had a 3-year-old with us. After 30 minutes of waiting he was done. So stressful. So frustrating. To top it all off, they offered no compensation, apology, etc… for the time and energy wasted by us sorting out their screw up. The pool and room was awesome but I've never encountered a hotel who cared so little about customer service.

It's a great family vacation place. Lovely beach and swimming pools. The all inclusive allows dining in 2 restaurants on site. The buffet spread at one of them is very good. They have some activities organized throughout the day, which are okay. There's also a small provision store. Our suite was well equipped with amenities. Best of all, the staff is very friendly.

It was a decent hotel, staff were nice. Not many of them speak English. Finding water to drink was hard, but alcohol flow like river. Nothing got stolen, buffet wasn't that great. Not a whole of options for vegans and vegetarian. Biggest disappoint was that we didn't get mini bar. But view from the room was mind blowing. I wont mind going there again.

Our stay was great! Amazing room and view! We stayed here Sept 2017. We got lucky and got an ocean view room with a mini balcony and a patio. Clean room and kitchen with microwave, mini fridge, coffee & coffee maker, silverware, glassware, plates, & bowls. Had a safe in their spacious closet with a shelf. Bathroom has hair dryer & tub (some places just have showers). Cabanas, chairs, umbrellas, outside shower, bar, & swings on their beach. Sometimes music (not too loud or anything). There's also a small water area right in front of the stairs when you're coming from the beach to rinse the sand off your feet, but they need to have lights for night time and "watch your step" signs. Big pool with swim-up bar, mini waterfall, volleyball net, and separate kiddy pool with a slide. Buffet restaurant in pool area. Good ceviche and guavabana natural water! So good! Italian restaurant. Deli/bakery and mini grocery store with small selection of clothing and swim stuff like floaties, sun tan lotion, liquor, which was great to have on location! I think there was a babysitting area too across the Italian Restaurant Lol not sure. They have two areas to discuss excursions. We played complimentary blackjack for 2 beers/sodas. Parasailing and jet skiing in front of the hotel next door! Iberostar next door has a mini mall with lots of restaurants and mini golf. It stunk in there though but was cool to walk around.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Room was in terrible shape and disrepair. Hotel assigned us an occupied room. You can hear other occupants through the walls easily. Third party booking company that hotel endorses caused so many problems with our trip.

The room was very out dated. There were insects on the dressers and the beds. It didn't look like it was even dusted. Food was horrible. The lounge chairs at the pools looked dirty. The only good thing good about this place were the bar tenders. They finally got to know us and knew our drink of choice, it's too bad that it was at the very late hour of our stay. We decided to leave the very next day. Stayed only one night.

I'm not one to usually write reviews, actually I have never written one but I have to admit Cuba puts this hotel to shame! I've been to Mexico 4 times this being my 4th and I have to admit it hasn't left a good taste in my mouth! The positives to this hotel is the beach is really nice, the rooms are remodelled and finally the last positive is Gaspar! I have to hand it to him he was always there when we needed drinks and did his best to make our experience the best that he could! The down side is everything else the hotel doesn't have shows, it only has one place to eat, has only one bar, and is very dead, if you are someone in retirement looking for a vacation this is the place but apart from that this hotel is very dead and if you want to go out it takes over half an hour to get to the strip because of traffic! And on top of all that the only bar closes at 11 and after that you have to buy yourself drinks at the store…

$150 per day, waiting in line for checkin over half an hour, then they tell me it's not all-inclusive but only the room, so I don't get any food or the Internet, or whatever else would come in an all-inclusive package, I am yet to find out because I just checked in, but I'm already pissed off with everything. The room smells like sewage, they said they were bringing my suitcase "in a moment". That moment lasted over an hour and then I went downstairs and got the suitcase myself, which would've been easier in the first place had I known how long their moment lasts. The following might be out of their hands, but when I tried to get into the ocean in front of the hotel they told me swimming was not allowed and I had to walk 100 m to swim in front of another hotel. I booked a beachfront hotel assuming I would be able to swim at that beach. I appreciate their concern but I am able to handle the waves, and in an unlikely event that something was gonna happen to me, a lifeguards job is to save my ass!

You should have a small area for children that still do not know how to swim.

Good swimming pool, good beach, great service. Rooms very well. However there are things that fail: for example had Pepsi light, or all drinks advertising. I got check-out extended until two o'clock and it was all confusion. Suddenly disappeared the waiters of the pool. Is how disorganized. But for the price it is great.

This is a family friendly, clean and room spacious hotel overlooking the beach. The rooms have a 1990s feel but they have all the facilities of a long stay hotel. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. You can walk or grab the bus to party town in Cancun from right across the street or book any tour or excursion right by the font desk.

Nice people, buffet is delicious and rooms are kinda old but clean. The elevator takes ages to get to you, but besides that I liked most of it.

Nothing special. The rooms are well furnished, if a bit old. Pool facilities are nice, cocktails are decent. Nothing to complain about, just not stellar, especially not for that price point.

Really bad service, from the entry you already know to the american offer the rooms type To, while the mexican type B. We sell only the breakfast only, if you want the all inclusive costs you $ 888 p/p per day. And the restaurant they have for breakfast has nothing to do with the size of the hotel, so if there is too much guest that becomes a bottle-neck awesome.

Well located hotel with a Family atmosphere mostly. Rooms are clean and ocean view but you get to share balcony with the room next door. Food is ok and large swimming pools, however the training center could get more treadmills and equipment, really a no no.

Well, the service is pretty good, the attention of the personal is good, the food sometimes was untasted, but I liked to be there, it's a good option.

The place has a good sea view on most rooms. The people service is very good and friendly, the activities of the hotel are not good or entertaining. And the only detail of the room that I did not like was that the TV in the room was a screen old and small, room f123 dual.

We are a family of 2 youth and 2 adults. We spent four days of the best in this Hotel. Room spacious, clean and with all amenities. Good air conditioning, and access to high-speed Internet in your own room, for Free!. The staff is very friendly, although we had few interactions, don't bother tratandote sell timeshare or services. The only but I put is that despite the fact that there are access ramps and lifts, the design of the building requires climbing a lot of stairs and for older people, this can hinder your stay. My wife came to hurt the back and climbing stairs was not the best thing for her.

Nice, clean, good location, courteous employees. My wife & me got us a 1 bedroom with full kitchen (we never use it) super clean. Breakfast buffet is great, lunch & dinner not so good, a little too pricey too. Definitely will recommend it.

Stayed here June 2015. Two bedroom suite was very spacious. Location is great. We were very pleased with the accommodations. Staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend to stay here. Would stay here again.

Currently I'm staying in there from June 29 to July 3 and I don't know why people give bad reviews about the room decor it's Mexican style furniture and I love it everything is beautiful from opening the balcony door to see the sunrise to the beautiful way they maintain the grounds everyone is being so helpful especially jessica Jiménez from public areas and we chat for almost 1 hour and Armando from the restaurant he's been so helpful with suggestions to places to go around and even volunteer to take us to a place that my wife wanted to go so I give my props to management for hiring the right people with big heart and always a smile on their faces. Only downside is the pool bar that they close at 5pm and that's the only thing. And we already planing to bring the whole family here.
