I stayed at Super Hotel JR Nara Ekimae from 4/1/2025 to 4/6/2025. Please don't be confused with the Super Hotel Premier which was adjacent to The Nara Station.

It’s my go to hotel when visit Nara, front desk staff speaks English well & can store luggages before check in. It’s clean & feels like home away from home, minimalist room but efficient & practical.

Amazing hotel with lots of amenities to borrow and or take, as well as plenty of good products in the bathroom.

Hotel was absolutely beautiful and worth bragging about. Staff were so kind and helpful. Right across from the station and many convenient stores.

Great location, Easy check-in/check-out, clean room and bath, comfortable bed, climate control. Overall great experience!

It was nice to stay — just some random black stuff was almost all over the both beds, which it made some marks on — not sure what it was though. Other than that, it was good to stay.

Highlight of our trip in Japan. High quality and friendly service. The meals provided for breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The public bath was lovely with beautiful views of the cherry blossoms.

Stayed There 2 weeks ago for a night in one of the VIP rooms.
Unfortunately, we missed the Cherry blossoms, by a few days but that isn't anyone's fault.

Our stay was truly excellent. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful from the very first moment. They made us feel welcome and were always available to assist with anything we needed.

Lovely ryokan with very friendly staff conversant in English.
We had a wonderful time here, and enjoyed the private onsen (the public baths are free but you can reserve the private onsen for a fee).

Hotel near the station. Easy to understand. When I opened the door, I thought it would be nice if the shoe-on area was separated, like the entrance of a house. Clean.

There is a safe route access anywhere in the country, and there is an affiliated multi-storey parking lot at the back entrance of the hotel, which is paid on a first-come, first-served basis.

I stayed here for the Nara Marathon.
I was visiting by private car on a road trip from the Koshinetsu region, so I chose this place because there was a parking lot near the station.

I made a reservation for sightseeing in Nara. The location is also perfect. With breakfast included, the room is clean and comfortable for this price.

Design savvy modern hotel with tatami style rooms. Check in took sometime. Service was decent.

Superb service, among the best I've ever had at a hotel. Generous check-in and check-out policies with respect to luggage and even offering to carry it up the stairs for you.

I now live in Japan and have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past few years. I even stayed here 20 years earlier when I was visiting Japan. The room rate has been very good.

Easy to navigate to. Very friendly, welcoming staff on arrival. Room is clean and tidy. Bathroom likewise but feels a little tired.
Friend tried to hot baths but reported that it wasn't very hot.

Traditional Ryoken with traditional dinner & breakfast, which were an amazing experience. Book a free shuttle from the train station beforehand. They went above & beyond to treat us amazing.

This was the single greatest hotel experience I have ever had in my life. The dinner and breakfast were world class. The in room bath and public bath’s were whimsical and relaxing.

The owners are so kind and its perfectly located! Close to Nara Park and Nara JR station. I loved my time here. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring both Kyoto and Nara. We wanted somewhere away from the throngs of people and this place delivered.

An exceptional option for lodging deep in Nara Park. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well appointed and spacious.

Host very pleasant and helpfull. The place is clean and with all the commodities.

This is a very lovely guesthouse close to one of the ancient cities of pre-modern JapanーAsuka.

Guesthouse Nara Komachi kindly provided me with a full refund when I had to cancel my trip due to very serious health issues. This gesture shows great compassion and was very appreciated.

Lovely stay. We felt truly at home. The host is a very friendly lady. There is a cozy community area with a small but well equipped kitchen.

The hotel is a bit tired, but the staff are very helpful and friendly. They serve happy hours free sake and snack in the evening time. Breakfast is tasty 😋

Fantastic experience, and the staff were always friendly and helpful! We speak zero Japanese, and the staff only speaks limited English, but don't let that deter you.

A lovely place at the edge of the deer forest. A marvelous Japanese hosting with a welcome drink and tea set to the room. We had 2 different rooms. Japanese style. Very spacious.

All amenities you need except for washing machine, there are a few coin laundries nearby. Wi-Fi is great, location is great too.

The rooms are a little small, with very little space for storage. The location is very nice, close to Nara park while being quiet.

My wife and I chose Ume to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and what an incredible choice it was.
Ume is a little piece of heaven nestled on a peaceful mountainside in Yamazoe, Nara.

An experience that is truly hard to put into words. We stayed one night with the 2-meal plan at Ume Yamazoe and it exceeded every expectation.
