This is a great place to come and stay in Hakuba, It seems like Tanin and the team have thought of everything.
In floor heating, it is always warm and cozy.

We stayed at Baan Hakuba for 6 nights while snowboarding around the valley. The rain shower is a great addition and so is the toaster oven for breakfast use.

We have just had a wonderful 7 nights a Chalet Shiga. The room and the hotel are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We had 7 great nights at Chalet Shiga. 1 minute walk to Diamond Ichinoise ski run.
Enjoyable breakfast and spacious rooms. The staff were excellent too.

Best place to relax and spend your time in the nature. Everything you need is prepared in your villa. If not, just ask for it ☺
The Lounge serves light meals and variety of drinks including alcohol.

Zen Chalets offers a wonderful experience with comfortable chalets/cabins at a very convenient location, close to the slopes, aki rental and various restaurants.

I can’t fault zen chalets. The most perfect stay for our family of 5 and the kids’ nanna. Staff were beyond helpful and friendly with daily logistics. Chalet was so clean and well stocked.

Newly built villa in Karuizawa. Amazing location with great view. Panoramic windows are different story. Sauna, hot pool in winter season is very relaxing.

Beautiful place, hot tub in the snow is perfect. All you need from amenities are there. Plenty of room for at least 5 people.

This hotel was the best stay of our entire Japan trip. I’d actually recommend this place over the overpriced options with “Mt. Fuji view”.

Great place to stay! The sweetest, most helpful staff. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Close to ski areas and snow monkey park. Easy to hop on the local bus to get around. 10/10 recommend!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Easily reachable via bus from nagano station. Drops you off maybe ~2 mins away (walking). Rooms are pretty cozy.

Our family of 5 had a special Christmas banquet here and I want to thank the chefs and staff for such a memorable night and food.

Really enjoyed our stay in one of their Melize house apartments. The fit out seemed brand new.

Comfortable stay with convenient facilities and extremely supportive English speaking Japanese host. I highly recommend staying in this apartment for exploring Hakuba, Nagano.

We stayed here for a week, green season (July). Weather was so hot, I didn’t research well and thought there’s also regular bus around town during summer. Turns out bus only available winter time.

Wonderful cottage with all the facilities.
The bathroom doors are transparent and it will be challenging if we go with another family.
Rest are all very good in this cottage.

IN: December 18, 2025 OUT: January 29, 2026 — Pension Blueberry is the quintessential Japanese Pension, warm, cozy, wonderful owners and staff. A short walk to ski slopes, great breakfast and dinners.

This property was a pleasant surprise. Modern, efficient, cost effective, convenient to several of the local ski areas. Daily housekeeping. Walkable restaurants even in the snow.

This was a really lovely chalet — spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The staff at Blue River Chalets went out of their way to make sure we had a great trip.

Very cosy house. It will be better if there is an additional toilet. There is currently 2 toilets where it gets busy when everyone is getting ready at the same time in the morning.

Wonderful place for holiday get away. The villa is very close to the famous Tonbo-no-yu onsen, shops and boutiques in the local area. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's a two storey villa with no lift/elevators (guests with heavy luggage to take note), very rustic Japanese style building. Shared bathroom, gender separated amongst all guests.

Fantastic place, they looked after us very well and location was great — ski in and ski out.

A very warm and cozy small inn with a comfortable Japanese-style bath. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious. The owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent.

We had a fabulous stay at White Tree Lodge this winter. Heyden, Saki and staff were excellent hosts and made us feel very at home.

I had a great stay here. Location is great, less than 5 minutes from the Iwatake slopes. They have a ski-in/ski-out facility — a rear door leads to a snow-covered path that leads to the slopes.

Fantastic location, 3 minute walk to Iwatake ski fields, rooms and facilities are clean and tidy, staff are phenomenal so friendly and accommodating 👌🏼

The Shack is an awesome place to stay. It's cosy and has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday in Hakuba. Paul and Kanako are wonderful hosts and are happy to help out whenever they can.

Great location, close to ski resorts and town, came with a car which is very handy, clean and modern place. Would recommend.

Room was spacious for 4 people with a private bathroom (two single beds and two tatami mats), mini fridge, and kettle.

Great stay at reasonable price. Safe, warm and very functional. Would definitely stay again!

The Asagiri is a really amazing spot. A Beautify Chalet which is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. The stay was great and I would highly recommend it.

Asagiri Chalet is a hotel in the Wadano area. The wood on the outside is old, but once you go inside, it's beautiful. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children and it was very comfortable.

We have just stayed as a family of four. Great location and a generous size. Could sleep 8 adults. The hosts were lovely. A great place to stay.
