The host is truly, truly kind, and I highly recommend staying here 🤍
The location is very convenient — close to Hakuba Station, Hakuba Bus Terminal, and also near Hakuba Happo-One ski resort, making

Comfortable stay with convenient facilities and extremely supportive English speaking Japanese host. I highly recommend staying in this apartment for exploring Hakuba, Nagano.

Best place to relax and spend your time in the nature. Everything you need is prepared in your villa. If not, just ask for it ☺
The Lounge serves light meals and variety of drinks including alcohol.

Nice spacious room with shared bath in onsen. Yukata provided outside onsen and towels provided in room. Clean onsen bath just wish there’s drinking water provided inside.

The location is fantastic in the middle of the large mountain range so easy access to most slopes.

Fantastic place, they looked after us very well and location was great — ski in and ski out.

This has been an amazing experience. The host picked us up from the station to bring us to the beautiful villa.
It is a family run lodge and you are treated like family your whole stay.

We had the most amazing time at Gakuto Villas, The Villa was lovely and warm. Lots of space. It really felt like a retreat. It was easy to get snow shuttles to the different ski areas.

Awesome stay at the villas for a family of four. Central location. Ski bus stop right out front takes you direct to the resorts.

Great place to stay! The sweetest, most helpful staff. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Close to ski areas and snow monkey park. Easy to hop on the local bus to get around. 10/10 recommend!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Easily reachable via bus from nagano station. Drops you off maybe ~2 mins away (walking). Rooms are pretty cozy.

We stayed here for a week, green season (July). Weather was so hot, I didn’t research well and thought there’s also regular bus around town during summer. Turns out bus only available winter time.

Wonderful cottage with all the facilities.
The bathroom doors are transparent and it will be challenging if we go with another family.
Rest are all very good in this cottage.

Beautiful Chalet, great location in Hakuba, comfortable beds and very nice bathrooms, EV Charging next door, very well equipped. We will come back!

Beautifully appointed and well located in the heart of lower Wadano.

Our family of 3 stayed for 9 nights in January 2026. Nora, Will & all the chalet’s staff were extremely helpful & friendly which made for an enjoyable stay.

IN: December 18, 2025 OUT: January 29, 2026 — Pension Blueberry is the quintessential Japanese Pension, warm, cozy, wonderful owners and staff. A short walk to ski slopes, great breakfast and dinners.

A wonderful experience!
I left my shoes there, and the staff sent them back to Taiwan without charging delivery fee. It really amazed me!
IKOI is clean and nice.

Wonderful place for holiday get away. The villa is very close to the famous Tonbo-no-yu onsen, shops and boutiques in the local area. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Mr. Satoshi was very friendly. He picked us up at the station with a free shuttle service. This is a service we've never had at other hotels before.

The host/owner Satoshi and his wife are a wonderful team who really ensures that you have the best experience and great hospitality.

Very cosy house. It will be better if there is an additional toilet. There is currently 2 toilets where it gets busy when everyone is getting ready at the same time in the morning.

We are a family of 4. Absolutely loved our stay! Cozy, spotless, great location and peaceful with stunning views. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Perfect getaway highly recommend!

Zen Chalets offers a wonderful experience with comfortable chalets/cabins at a very convenient location, close to the slopes, aki rental and various restaurants.

I can’t fault zen chalets. The most perfect stay for our family of 5 and the kids’ nanna. Staff were beyond helpful and friendly with daily logistics. Chalet was so clean and well stocked.

Our family of 4 had the best experience ever, first time in Hakuba for all of us — our snowboarding trip was made extra pleasant with Paul and Tracy’s kindness and hospitality.

This hotel was perfect! Stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing! Firstly, the owners and staff were really welcoming — big shout out to Paul!

Wife and I stayed here for a short snow trip. The cabin is so clean and modern. Bed next to large window looking out to a beautiful view.

Cosy and intimate log-cabin style hotel. Simple breakfast was healthy and delicious — freshly-sandwiches with yogurt and a cup of hot soup.

Thanks whitefox team for being especially helpful and prompt with our needs during our stay. A special thanks to Alex for making our trip even more memorable.

It is an beautiful charlet. We stayed for a weekend with our 3 kids and it was awesome. Very clean, cozy and well equipped.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The place was very warm, clean and well managed. We weren’t allowed to use the BBQ nor the fireplace, which was a bummer, but other than that it was truly amazing.

The Grand Phenix Hakuba is simply amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Had a lovely experience vacationing here! Our group of 9 loved the house and really wished we could have stayed longer.

The Villa is very spacious and equipped with modern living and dinning facilities. It’s good for family and friends hanging out in Hakuba area! Awesome place!

Loved everything about the place! Great spot to stay with a group of friends to enjoy Hakuba for all seasons :)

The Chalet is amazing. So comfortable and the upstairs is spacious. Kitchen is equipped with an Induction cooker, super easy to use. We had the inside block, and have a hired car.

This property was a pleasant surprise. Modern, efficient, cost effective, convenient to several of the local ski areas. Daily housekeeping. Walkable restaurants even in the snow.

Spacious, beautifully furnished, great location with easy walk to restaurants, 7-11 and Hakuba bus stop, central to all 10 mountains in Hakuba, great drying room (for ski gear), washer-dryer super

Our family of 5 had a magical stay at Chalet Setsugekka in Hakuba for our February break. We spent five nights and our only regret is that we had to leave! We felt instantly at home on arrival.

The Asagiri is a really amazing spot. A Beautify Chalet which is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. The stay was great and I would highly recommend it.

Asagiri Chalet is a hotel in the Wadano area. The wood on the outside is old, but once you go inside, it's beautiful. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children and it was very comfortable.
