We have just had a wonderful 7 nights a Chalet Shiga. The room and the hotel are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We had 7 great nights at Chalet Shiga. 1 minute walk to Diamond Ichinoise ski run.
Enjoyable breakfast and spacious rooms. The staff were excellent too.

Best place to relax and spend your time in the nature. Everything you need is prepared in your villa. If not, just ask for it ☺
The Lounge serves light meals and variety of drinks including alcohol.

This hotel was the best stay of our entire Japan trip. I’d actually recommend this place over the overpriced options with “Mt. Fuji view”.

Great place to stay! The sweetest, most helpful staff. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Close to ski areas and snow monkey park. Easy to hop on the local bus to get around. 10/10 recommend!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Easily reachable via bus from nagano station. Drops you off maybe ~2 mins away (walking). Rooms are pretty cozy.

Our family of 5 had a special Christmas banquet here and I want to thank the chefs and staff for such a memorable night and food.

Really enjoyed our stay in one of their Melize house apartments. The fit out seemed brand new.

Comfortable stay with convenient facilities and extremely supportive English speaking Japanese host. I highly recommend staying in this apartment for exploring Hakuba, Nagano.

We stayed here for a week, green season (July). Weather was so hot, I didn’t research well and thought there’s also regular bus around town during summer. Turns out bus only available winter time.

Wonderful cottage with all the facilities.
The bathroom doors are transparent and it will be challenging if we go with another family.
Rest are all very good in this cottage.

IN: December 18, 2025 OUT: January 29, 2026 — Pension Blueberry is the quintessential Japanese Pension, warm, cozy, wonderful owners and staff. A short walk to ski slopes, great breakfast and dinners.

This property was a pleasant surprise. Modern, efficient, cost effective, convenient to several of the local ski areas. Daily housekeeping. Walkable restaurants even in the snow.

This was a really lovely chalet — spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The staff at Blue River Chalets went out of their way to make sure we had a great trip.

Our family of 4 had the best experience ever, first time in Hakuba for all of us — our snowboarding trip was made extra pleasant with Paul and Tracy’s kindness and hospitality.

This hotel was perfect! Stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing! Firstly, the owners and staff were really welcoming — big shout out to Paul!

Mr. Satoshi was very friendly. He picked us up at the station with a free shuttle service. This is a service we've never had at other hotels before.

The host/owner Satoshi and his wife are a wonderful team who really ensures that you have the best experience and great hospitality.

Fantastic experience. Food, staff, atmosphere and location were 5 star. Tasting menus with wine pairing were Devine. An absolute must for foodies.

Wonderful place for holiday get away. The villa is very close to the famous Tonbo-no-yu onsen, shops and boutiques in the local area. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very cosy house. It will be better if there is an additional toilet. There is currently 2 toilets where it gets busy when everyone is getting ready at the same time in the morning.

We are a family of 4. Absolutely loved our stay! Cozy, spotless, great location and peaceful with stunning views. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Perfect getaway highly recommend!

We used the Day use plan/日帰りプラン.
It was totally worth every yen and so relaxing. The facility was well equipped with nice amenities. They had two type of saunas an electric one and a bamboo sauna.

Did the day sauna package. The whole area is reserved for you and has all the amenities included! it’s actually really fun with the water bucket splash and a tub to jump into!

Loved this place. Owners were wonderful and location was short walk to ski shuttles. O site on sen was the best. Great value for momey.

We stayed in a six bed cabins — hugely spacious for Japan and well priced.

Amazing villa to stay in Fujikawaguchiko with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji! A few mins walk from Kawaguchiko station and is located at the heart of a residential neighborhood.

Crazy views, clean rooms and definitely worth to stay here but sadly I wish could stay longer with family definitely gonna come back this place to spend more time in fujikawaguchiko.

This has been an amazing experience. The host picked us up from the station to bring us to the beautiful villa.
It is a family run lodge and you are treated like family your whole stay.

We stayed at Asuka Lodge for just one night, but it was our best experience yet! We were pleasantly surprised when they offered to pick us up from the station (even though it wasn't listed online).

Loved our stay at Asuka Lodge. We were 2 family groups and the Quad rooms were perfect. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Feels like a family!

This is a great ski lodge: peaceful and comfortable, superb custom-made breakfast, karate classes with a master athlete if you so desire, outstanding cleanliness, fascinating clientele.

To add onto all the other positive reviews — this is the best place in the area for a very reasonable price. The family running this inn are probably the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.

Perfect location, lovely owners, good breakfast and good size rooms and they also offer transfers and all in a very good option for skiing in Japan 🇯🇵

A very warm and cozy small inn with a comfortable Japanese-style bath. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious. The owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent.

We had a fabulous stay at White Tree Lodge this winter. Heyden, Saki and staff were excellent hosts and made us feel very at home.

We had the most amazing time at Gakuto Villas, The Villa was lovely and warm. Lots of space. It really felt like a retreat. It was easy to get snow shuttles to the different ski areas.

Awesome stay at the villas for a family of four. Central location. Ski bus stop right out front takes you direct to the resorts.
