The location and super-friendly and helpful staff raise my rating from a 3 to a 4. Make sure to visit the famous gardens at night if here in the autumn as it makes for stunning photos.

A very good two nights stay. A Large double room with an enormous bed!

I visited Kanazawa for two nights recently. As a solo traveler, I look for places that are clean, safe, and quiet. This hotel fit all of my criteria, and for a reasonable cost!

This place is really near Kanazawa Station. There is mall in front of this hotel, named Kanazawa Forus.
Literally less than 300m from station.
Provide various amenities including bath sald, pajamas.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, which is just near the station so you can go anywhere near Kanazawa easily.

Clean, decisive lines—simple and uncompromising. The color palette is used with restraint: soft cream tones throughout, accented by gentle curves that whisper rather than command attention.

Japanese hotel rooms are small yet functional. There's no doubt about the functional part, but the square hotel KANAZAWA takes the small to another level.

We were a family of 3 in a family room. The room was very well designed with an "upper" level for our teenage son. Separate toilet, shower and sinks.

Stayed here for 1 night under the accommodation only plan. As it was one of the affordable options around the idea, I wasn’t expecting a lot.

This hotel has been renovated recently, the room is wonderful the view is gorgeous. Outdoor onsen is so enjoyable.

Beautiful Ryokan with warm atmosphere and fantastic food. We enjoyed our stay here and in the region very much.

If you ever find yourself adding Takaoka to your Japan itinerary, treat yourself to a stay at this traditional family owned Ryokan.

Incredibly expensive during the peak season, but well worth the price in my opinion.
Stayed at the hotel in mid Apr 2025, a few days after the Kurobe Alpine Route was opened.

It is not easy to encounter such a magnificent view.
It takes quite a long time to finally reach the destination, with transfers on various means.

To be fair after being in a lot of dormitories, I consider it the best one so far. Very peaceful and perfected to deateails. Staff were kind, and the location is great.

Spent 3 nights here and absolutely love it! Its really close to Kanazawa station. The luggage storage under the bed was big enough, i think it fits to large luggage.

Stayed here as a couple for 3 nights. Checking in was a simple process done via machine, a member of staff will come out if there is any problems.

We came to Takayama late last month and stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was quite modern and the room was nice not small with nice bathroom. The bed was very goods and comfy.

金沢茶屋 is located 3 mins away from 兼六園口 of 金沢駅, well positioned for business and vacation.
Rooms feel new with features easy for non-Japan travelers like sitting chair and tall desk.

The twin room is spacious and very clean with the hotel being located very close to Kanazawa Station.
The service is incredible.

Modern hotel with laundry, microwave, fridge, ice machine. Beds large and comfy. Pillow hard. More space in room than some hotels in Japan but bathroom is tiny. Water pressure good.

Overall comfortable hotel in a convenient location. The room has a nice tatami area but lighting is unexpectedly harsh. The breakfast is alright, featuring local produce.

An unusual and delightful property. The owner uses the hotel as a repository for a vast collection of contemporary art, and it’s super fun to explore the sculptures and paintings throughout.

Probably one of the cheaper Mariott brand hotels in Japan. Room was large, clean and had complimentary.
Fantastic views and extremely comfortable.

A very new and comfortable hotel, THE place to stay in Fukui. Friendly staff who spoke English, offered early check in, agreed to clean the room outside regular time, wonderful service.

We stayed at Hakusan Ichirino Roan Hotel with the onsen package that included a halal wagyu dinner and breakfast, it was a genuinely memorable experience.

We would highly, highly recommend Ichirino Kogen Hotel Roan.
Dinner was phenomenal — some of the best food we had on our one month trip travelling around Japan.

Outdoor onsen with sauna. I've tattoos that can be covered up with the stickers they provided. Rules were clear and upfront so just have to follow them. Free supper. Clean room.

Really nice hotel. Not only they serve breakfast, they also provide ramen at night and snacks in the afternoon free of charge.

Stayed here for 3 nights using Tsuruga as a base city to explore the Sea of Japan side of the country, and it turned out to be one of my favorite hotels in all of Japan.
