There was scaffolding directly in front of our window. Camilla (the host) didn’t inform us in advance and she kept it quiet, so that we do not cancel the booking.
We could not open the window as the workmen or even pedestrians could climb in. The host lied to us saying that the workmen installed the scaffolding the previous day. The public notice said that the works started on the 23rd March, which was two months ago.
No effort to change the room or make us feel more comfortable. The only offer was not to pay the 12 euros city tax. This was not enough as a compensation.
My husband suffers from claustrophobia and not being able to open the window really affected his night sleep.
The following morning there was a lovely gentleman who was very kind to us and seemed caring, hence the two stars in the service. Otherwise the service was appalling.
And the even more disappointing thing was that “Bed-and-Breakfast. It”, the online platform that I had booked the room, was not supportive at all. They just referred me back to the host, but the host was not helpful or understanding.
I would NOT recommend this place.
Great host. Perfect location when you come by car as it is super close to the ZTL with great parking options just outside. B&B without the breakfast. But who needs breakfast? 15 mins on foot to the center. Top area.

Wonderful little guest house with very friendly hosts. The room was super clean. It was also quiet during the night. The staff made it possible to store my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. The location of the guest house is very convenient — about a 10-15 min walk from the train station.
