Room did look very good and there was a jacuzzi! We got an apartment 2min walk from a reception building. Location is awesome which is also pro and a con — it was quite noisy. We had some problems with air conditioning and Wi-Fi in the room (it was ok in the lobby). Breakfast was rather on the lower end of a hotels standard, it was like 3/5. On the upside — service was GREAT! Our luggage was taken to the room from reception and guys at the reception are real professionals — one of the best service experience I ever had in a hotel! I would give 5 star it the breakfast was better, but anyway I consider that place a decent bang for a buck!

Very old, narrow corridors, privacy is a concern (you can hear your next room), breakfast area has limited seats thus quite crowded. Apart from these, hotel is located in St Marco so location is this hotel's strong suit. If you are visiting Venice for the first time, you may miss hotel's sign in the narrow streets so look at the doors to see the entrance. Very positive staff.

Blind eyes booked this hotel, can zero a star must zero. Check in after inexplicably was taken out of the hotel by the waiter, arranged in 30 meters away from the hotel to live (the hotel waiter said also belongs to the hotel. We had an upgrade on the reservation and we were assigned a junior suite, spacious, comfortable, but located in a location outside the hotel, only flaw, when you enter the lobby a strong smell of sewage, but it is Venice!

An old-fashioned setting, a first receptionist who seemed at best well-worn and not soundproofed rooms. Fortunately the following receptionists seemed quite ordinary.

We did well. But. The hotel is very popular. You come and you're moved to other addresses. This time we were allocated directly to Piazza San Marco, and in the previous one had to be dragged behind the bridge of the Academy.

Nice cosy hotel, double room ok size. Breakfast a little stressful and little choice, with waitress' that could have been more welcoming. Good location, and hotel staff on a whole were polite and helpful. Slightly pricey for quality of hotel. Tourist tax not included in booking (€21 for 3 nights)

Great hotel at 50 meters from St. Mark's Square and combinations for the train station. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll give you a 10.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… They were really nice, since we got recently married they gave us a special room in Piazza San Marcos, but didn't make us pay it's value, just what we booked. Breakfast is good, though a bit crowded and simple. Very nice decoration. Stay was great. We had a bit of trouble finding the place, which is very near San Marcos.

Excellent location, very good price.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. The location is very good. This is a big plus. The rooms are decorated in a classic style, the rooms themselves are not big, but the ceilings are high, everything you need is there. Overall, everything fits the description. Minus for breakfast and nuances of service, why that long had to wait until we are registered, there is no place to store suitcases.

An alley hotel but with character walking distance to St. Mark's square. It is surrounded with shops and restaurants. It should have been a perfect overnight stay unit at check-out when Max the receptionist/concierge booked us a taxibus without confirming with us and it costs 170€. Words were exchanged and at the end he managed to cancel it without any charge. Shouting and swearing is inappropriate when you are the front of a hotel.

Excellent location. Was easy to find the first time, but got lost coming back. Service is not great. They will answer your questions, and they kept my bag for the day after check out, but they seemed angry all the time. The room was tiny, smelled old, but the decoration was in nice Venetian style. Wi-Fi was dreadful.

The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, breakfast was pretty good and was in a great location very close to a lot of attractions. The room was very basic and pretty small with very few power sockets, meaning we had to take turns charging phones.

I just love this hotel. It has this Venetian charm of the last century, which I personally find very beautiful.

Nice room with a decor "rococo" to Italian, helpful staff, buffet breakfast simple but effective, we regret only the coffee really not top. Very good location but a bit noisy at night probably due to the resonance effect of the narrow streets.

Nice hotel. We had a nice room however it took 6mins to walk from the lobby to our room! Two elevators, four sets of stairs, winding corridors… out of panada and into another hotel, then back into panada to reach our room! It was a maze!

Very well located, right in the center of Venice, 2 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco. The room was nice but very old and smelled like mold. Breakfast was very basic.

Bugs in the bed and floor & No Wi-Fi! Walking into the lobby you get greeted with a very bad smell of sewer and not a very nice staff. Only stayed one night but the beds were very hard and the room was very hot. When it came time for bed we found an ant in one of the beds and one on the floor. We decided to go walk outside in the cold to the lobby hoping to get a room change or money back but nothing! The receptionist was extremelyyyyyy rude and fought back with us! Only solution he had was to spray a pesticide in the room which meant we would have to bring all of our luggage down the stairs and wait outside for a half hour in the cold until the smell went away! The price for the room was way too much for what we got. They make the room like nice and big, the pictures are very deceiving. Would not recommend this place, save your money.

As soon as you enter the lobby there is a significant sewer smell and the rooms are really old with uncomfortable mattresses. We booked it in promotion but not worth the price that would have cost no discounts. The location is fabulous, 2 steps from St. Mark's Square.

Great service. Nice looking rooms, they also let us store our bags for the day even after we checked out. The rooms did smell like mildew though.

We stayed in November for two nights.
Overall very clean.
At the moment you should avoid room 116. The heating cannot be regulated and runs at full throttle.
If you open the window to compensate overnight, you run the risk of being enraptured by all the dogs and cats of Venice like a freshly fried fish rod The next day: the deduction of a restaurant is right opposite in the 10QM large courtyard.
At all in the room is not to think of sleeping: probably right behind the wall balanced some large electric motor works in ten seconds.
I do not want to put the lady at the reception with hair on her teeth, but I had not quite pronounced the word "complaint" and we were given a new room. The Malaisen of 116 seem to be sufficiently well known.
For breakfast I can only recommend to avoid the Venetian pizza cartons, which are far more palatable than the loveless pastries of the breakfast buffet.
The room 450 was then really a dream.

Nice and clean hotel. Excellent location. A bit noisy so you can sleep badly. Friendly staff. Breakfast OK, but soluble coffee from the vending machine — for me a no-go in Italy. Unfortunately we were advised to ask for a good restaurant The tourist house in the hotel. The porter has explained to us in detail that a special meal is freshly prepared for hotel guests. In fact, we had a meal in canteen quality at a totally overpriced price. Something like this must not happen in a reputable hotel.

This hotel is very close to the square which is convenient. That is what you are paying for. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was ok, and the Wi-Fi was helpful. The rooms could use some loving though. My room had wallpaper that had masking tape holding it up, and the furniture was shabby for the price of the room. The bathroom was kinda small. I lucked out and had a room that was easy to get to, but it seemed like a maze getting to some of the other rooms. It is very noisy considering the location. I would consider staying away from the square if you want less crowds and noise near your hotel. If you need to use one, the hairdryer is not great.

Good sized, clean rooms in the centre of everything. Simple breakfast buffet included with room.

I think the hotel was great. It is really close to San Marco, the breakfast is ok, personnel is very polite and helpfull. They gave response to our every problem so quickly and they were nice. We would prefer again this hotel if we turn back to Venice.

Rather complicated to get to our rooms (basically in an adjacent building) but good for the price and free Wi-Fi is nice.

Location is great. Right next to a lot of major landmarks and lots of nightlife right outside. Rooms are pretty good, the hotel is like something out of Harry Potter. You might have to go up stairs then downstairs then left then right etc to get to your room. But it ads to the charm. Service is great. Included breakfast is fine as well.

Not easy to find initially, but is very close to P. San Marco (literally 1min walk). Good breakfasts. Our room was off site of the main hotel (1 min walk). Room quiet and clean. Wi-Fi was iffy at times. Staff helpful and pleasant.

Fabulous location, just over a minute from St. Mark's Square, the staff is friendlier and prepared and the rooms are tidy, clean and spacious.

Service more than good, room good though bathroom without riscaldameto. Good location, let us mind reachable both feet and with the vaporetto. Behind the Church of St. Mark, in the centre, you can stroll around Venice.

Hotel very well placed and very good value for money. Small but nice rooms, full breakfast. The finishes in the rooms are to be reviewed.

Hotel that does not correspond at all to the reservation and the price paid; Room of 3m on 4, with dirty furniture, old blankets, an out of age bathroom with a hoof shower! All without a stalemate and over a pizzeria hello romance.

Bed bugs. I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Antico Canada from 4 to 6 September 2016. The second nights after changing the sheets I was stung all over the body by bed bugs. I had over 90 bites from head to toe my vacation was wasted because of that. The management of the problem by the hotel was catastrophic we insisted for 3 hours to be able to talk to the manager who turns out not to speak a word of English (supposedly). Attractive price but avoid absolutely. Poor breakfast, Wi-Fi that does not work in the rooms, the only good thing is the rental of the hotel.

Very nice staff. Centrally located. Breakfast? … well everything there and delicious * very nice and clean rooms at the Venetian style * again.

Good location close to San Marco. Otherwise not very good — — small room on the top floor with long chain of corridors, stairs and two elevators to get to it. Wifi only in lobby.

The breakfast buffet is varied, with good Café. Room facilities is "Typical Italy". Staff very friendly and cooperative with even good English skills. Is annoying that no Wi-Fi in the rooms is available. All guests meet in the lounge to the common surfing. Some hesitate not to Skype — and all may hear.
Bottom line: for a few days in Venice stay quite enough and as a special plus is the location. One is on Piazza and the gondolas in 3 minutes. For photographers dream.

All was fine except the man at reception who was always with a the sour face and always busy with something, even if it was alone needed to attract attention you come back and talk to you. Password Wi-Fi in the room we called 6 times and 6 times gave me another password which of course has never gone, I did not understand why because however internet and the signal was very good. For someone who lives from tourism believe we should be more careful with the client. I think we should see a happy face at the reception. Thanks.

Price performance was OK… Central location.

Don't match the expectations based on price paid (2 nights € 215, 60). Just enough service. When you get there they ask you for your credit card to charge you immediately the whole stay and collect the tax in cash, without releasing the tax receipt. There has been given one of the best double superior (131 to 1 floor just refurbished) : good furniture, but spaces and only 1 small cupboard without drawers. Noisy in the day to the continuous passage of tourists on the street (we are only 100 metres from the clock tower in Piazza San Marco). Attached restaurant "former glory" (sympathetic Maitre) : modest food and very expensive (€ 112 in two: 2 spaghetti, 1 second fish, salad, tiramisu). Minimum price of a bottle of red wine 29€. Internet access for customers to 3 € up to 30 '. No Wi-Fi in the room …

Bad bad bad. Very bad hotel. Small, dirty, and slab very unpleasant employees. Not what I recommend. It is too cold in the rooms, control you the temperature from reception and Don t let handle your room thermostat. The views of a dead old and noisy, and the bar does not have com own waiter. They have q call it from another bar. And there is no Wi-Fi, and bad and poor breakfast. In the end. Too bad.
Bad. So bad. And expensive. The rooms are cold, you can not controlate the room temperature, rooms are so small, cold, the staff is serious and doesnt smile. The breakfast is NOT Continental. So bad. All.

Disgusting service and over priced tourist trap. If you want an honest review look at Genesis Warners about 4 down this list. Exact same thing happened to my partner and I. Staff were arrogant, rude, sarcastic and spiteful. When we arrived we too were shafted 2 blocks away down an alleyway which wouldn't have been so bad if the room didn't smell of faeces and the Wi-Fi would work. When I asked the staff about the Wi-Fi and why it wasnt working (there was a modem in the room) he told me the Wi-Fi is guaranteed in the rooms but it is not guaranteed to work. So in order to get any Wi-Fi you have to walk back 2 blocks, sit in the crowded lobby with people in your exact situation and look at his smug little face. And that was just the first day. I highly recommend NOT staying here. Turned me off Venice all together.

Limited facilities in the room. No kettle, no cups, no Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi was only available in the public area (there was a sitting room near reception). The breakfast looked like continental breakfast but had no eggs. And mosquito attacted during night!

Bait and switch. The room you are given is in a location around the corner in a walk-up without a lobby and elevator. The name on the outside of the door is not the name of the Panada Hotel. I will post a picture of the location they actually place you. There is no Wi-Fi as advertised.

Desperately overpriced and with the absolute minimum of facilities. We paid £185 per room expecting something special. The rooms were only just big enough for the bed and a tiny ensuite. The safe in one of the rooms had been broken into and was left unrepaired. The rooms were drab, depressingly dark, and in need of redecoration. When we asked for better rooms we were shown an alternative which was no better. The manager was detached and uncooperative. The breakfast was absolutely minimal self service. They didn't even provide coffee — just a cheap coffee substitute which tasted like mud — absolutely foul. I get the impression this hotel is simply relying on its prime location to attract tourists, and they have made no attempt to enhance the experience. We certainly won't be going back.

Price/performance ratio fits, location perfect.

We were in January there. Since the price/quality ratio is good. Super located. The rooms are nicely furnished and the price ok. Everything was clean. The staff of reception was. We call it time functional. The breakfast is like in Italy usually not on German Standard (sausage, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, toast and croissant — that's it. The coffee it very well).

If you're thinking about spending your hard earned money at this hotel, PLEASE DON'T! Don't be fooled by the "good" reviews (like we did). Be aware: -Apparently, you must fit the front desk agent's standards to stay at the "main hotel". If not, your room will be located outside of the building about a block away. If you stay there be prepared for: a horrible stench, sketchy elevator, and not see a single employee anywhere. But if you state their use of false advertisement, available rooms (magically) appear. (NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE DOES IT STATE THAT ROOMS WILL BE LOCATED IN DIFFERENT BUILDINGS) -Bellman will take you to your room, swearing under his breath, stomping up stairs, complaining about how YOU'RE making him do extra work (after room change). -Hotel Wi-Fi is not available in the rooms (MENTIONED ON WEBPAGE). Only in the common/lobby area. BUT be warned after 2AM the hotel lobby is pitch black, no one is at the front desk and you're locked inside the hotel. So for example if you're like me, you're doing work due to the US/ITALY time difference at 2:00AM and don't want to keep your husband up, when you politely ask to have a lamp on in the lobby area. The front desk agent on night shift will tell you "NO, its late. Lights will not be on. Go to bed. You came here to sleep not to work, work in Italy if you want to work". I asked for the man's name which he did not provide, I asked to speak to a manager and no one was available.

Got the perfect room for our stay, nice personal. But they definitively have to improve on the breakfast. Industrialized toast bred, powder coffee this is surprisingly disappointing. Hope it will get better in the future.

Great experience, awesome location, about a minute from Saint Mark's square. During his stay, absolutely no problems with the staff, room not luxurious but clean. Considering I spent most of my time seeing the sights, I recommend to the typical tourist.

I live a lot of times. Location good, the hotel, the front Desk boy. Heh, heh, Internet is free, it can be a bath, very comfortable, only drawback is Breakfast. But I this person to eat, no, just objective evaluation.
