A historical place to stay. However we were under the impression there was air conditioning, this was not true as we found that the just has a draw fan which blows air from outside to inside the room not ideal on a 30+ degree day. Walls were damp shower squeeled when used. Would only recommend for one night being so close to the old town.
Do not stay here unless you ensure the owner has registered your licence plates with the police ahead of time. We stayed here 2 nights with 2 cars and received a traffic violation ticket each day for each car. 700 euros this cost us! The owner did nothing to advise us that his rooms were in a ZTL zone, and did not register our plates with the police. He won’t help us now that we have all these fines. He has our money so I guess he feels he doesn’t need to respond.
Also the site says free parking available… that’s a joke! There is no free parking, there are, enters and you need to drive around and around to find a meter and then hope you have plugged in the right amount.
The rooms are neat to stay in for a day or two but the parking hassle makes it not worth it and now we have these fines. A very costly stay.

Off the charts experience, we only stayed 2nights but the best accommodation in Italy so far given the location… We came in April!
