Domus Roma

We were passing through Matera and stayed overnight in this property.
It was a wonderful surprise.

The owner is a very kind lady,
Friendly, welcoming, professional and nice. The rooms have modern furnishings and are very clean. In the room there is a mini fridge, fresh water every day. The structure is located on the road that leads to the center very close to the stones. There is the possibility of finding parking easily. What can I say, if you have to stay in Matera, do it at Domus Roma…

Beautiful structure, located in the central area. It allows you to get around Matera on foot, you can leave your car in peace along the road, very kind staff, abundant breakfast. Impeccable police, all comforts, rating 5/5

Fantastic stay! Very clean and welcoming facility. Excellent location, we parked the car nearby and for two days we always moved around on foot. The owner is very kind and helpful, she immediately provided us with a map and all the useful information to get around and fully enjoy the beauty of Matera. The bar with which the structure has an agreement also offers an excellent breakfast. Perfect value for money.

We stayed two days. Excellent location very close to the center and the Sassi. Very clean structure with all comforts, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail from the entrance to the room. Domus Roma is a place that makes you feel at home. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail from the entrance to the room. The rooms are new and clean (cleaning is daily so every day you feel like you are entering the room for the first time). The room has a small minibar (free water on arrival but the fridge is refilled every day so you will always have water). The minibar is silent (in other structures I have had a noisy minibar and it is real torture). Perfect shower: hot water immediately and then a cabin that closes perfectly so you don't flood the bathroom. Very nice towels. But most importantly comfortable bed. All this in a wonderful setting that is Matera (Domus Roma is not in the Sassi but very close) and also the owner Vanna. His smile and helpfulness (as well as excellent advice on where to eat) are essential to truly feeling at home and spending your days peacefully. So in summary, I would recommend Domus Roma and certainly if I were to return to Matera I would go there. Happy Matera everyone, Lorella.
