B&B Fiorentini

🇸🇬Highly recommend this B&B if you're looking for an authentic living-in-a cave experience. The B&B is easily reachable from the train/bus station. Given its central location, it is easy to reach all the main tourist attraction. The breakfast offered is also great! Most importantly, the host, Nicola and his dad, are very amicable and endearing. Nicola went all out with his recommendations and offering of help. I felt completely safe and well taken care of.

We stayed at B&B Fiorentini during our trip to Matera and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our visit. The place felt more like staying in someone’s warm and welcoming home than a typical B&B. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. The host was incredibly kind and helpful—happy to give local tips and make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he really cares about his guests. Breakfast was great too—fresh, tasty, and served with care. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore. Plus, the location is perfect: close enough to walk everywhere, but tucked away enough that it still felt peaceful. I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you Nicolas! ❤️

Nicola and his father were amazing hosts with really good local recommendations. We stayed in the cave room which was a great experience. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was delicious. We will be recommending this place to everyone! 😊🥰

The bed are so comfortable we slept like a log after a full day exploring Matera according to the guide from mr Owner. He is so hospitable and welcoming. Every morning at 7 he came to the hotel and prepared the breakfast for us himself and it's really delicious using homemade olive oil and pastry from local bakery.

Our room was set in the old cave and was absolutely stunning. After a very nice breakfast and coffee we stepped directly out into winding stone streets of the old town. A great location to explore this one of a kind piece of history. We’d love to return to Matera and the B&B Fiorentini one day with the rest of our family.

This was the highlight of our trip to Italy! The area of matera is stunning anyway but Nicola and his father were the most hospitable: passionate about the history of the town (rightly so! ) and the room was perfect in keeping in with the traditional style but the amenities were up to date and great!
They helped with any questions, were quick to respond and the brekky was very tasty and a nice way to spend the morning! We will be coming back that’s for sure!

Matera is a fascinating place to visit and we found perfect accommodation at the B&B Fiorentini. Not only is the B&B perfectly placed but everything about this place feels authentic, reflecting the style of the traditional cave dwellings. Breakfast included homemade bread made by Giovanni and all guests were able to eat together in the roomy living room / kitchen. Initially we were quite worried at the thought of this but it actually turned out to be one of the best features of our stay. Nicola, the host, was extremely genial and, in his perfect English, he offered really helpful advice, throughout our stay, about how to get the best out of our visit to his home town. It is difficult to imagine a better host.

Nicola and his father were extra in everything. They were kind and offered us a ride from the recommend parking, showed us the area, welcomed and were available to every need. The breakfast was a lovely experience, with fresh coffee, pastries and organic food straight from the family farm. It's a kind and warm family business with beautiful heritage. The house is long owned by the family, so it's a little old dated but with a charm.

Excellent location and B&B. Nicola and his father are extremely welcoming and helpful. We felt at home immediately. They also catered for me as a coeliac by providing packed food for breakfast. The place is spotless clean and close to all amenities. Keep up the good service. Looking forward to seeing you soon again.
