Matera was an unexpected jewel and no doubt much of that is because of the unmatched service and fabulous accommodations at Conche Luxury Resort. The room was spectacular, unique and came with every amenity we could have dreamed of. Carla was in touch with me before we arrived making sure we knew where to park, had reservations for dinner and arranged transfers. Breakfast was something out of Top Chef. If your journey takes you to Matera (and it should), stay here. You will be delighted. 10000000/10.

I can't say enough about this hotel. Not only were the rooms exquisite, the location perfect and the breakfast superb, the service and care from the staff went way beyond any hotel I have ever stayed. They regularly check in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and to see if we needed anything. They were tremendously helpful when it came to seeing the sights of Matera. They had great restaurant recommendations and made reservations as needed. Big shout out to Tiziana for helping us out when we forgot something in our room. Again, she went above and beyond what one would expect. In fact, she was a lifesaver.

Stayed for one night. Rooms are renovated caves with museum-like lighting. Very friendly staff provided recommendations and breakfast full of surprises.

Loved this hotel. The hosts are so kind. Excellent brakefast. Big room with a great bathroom. So clean. It is located in Matera Historic Center.

We were really happy with our stay overall. The location is quite central and they also gave us a map of the city and explained the main things to do. Overall, the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated and also the breakfast was OK. Generally I can recommend this place to stay, we were happy!

Wow!,, I new Matera would be special based on the pics and the clips from the last Bond movie, but this place was beyond exceptional. The service was amazing and heartfelt. The breakfast was 5 star, best part of my day. The view from our front door (unit #10) and the steps was beautiful and moving. My only worry is that too many will discover this ancient city and it will be flooded with tourists. We flew into to Bari and drove the 50 minutes into Matera. Lots of steps but all worth it. And please driver across the valley to view the city from the caves and hillsides. Great food, my particular favorite is a Puglia region staple, pureed broad beans with sauteed chicory.

Such an exceptional experience it was staying at the hotel. The room was modern yet still allows you to experience the unique structure of the dwellings. It is also in a good location.
Victor was very helpful from the moment we arrived and helped us get to know the sights and history of Sassi di Matera. The service was amazing and provides a very welcoming feeling. Our breakfast was splendidly nice as well.

If you want to experience a true "Matera style Cave Hotel", choose this place. The room had the great historical, thematic design that lets you experience the vibe of the ancient city, while it also has all the great luxuries that's needed in a hotel. It's located in the historical town, very close to the main restaurant area.
The service is also exceptional. When we arrived, our receptionist Victor gave us a really good guide explanation with a map of Matera, helping us prepare for our stay so we can make the most out of it. He also helped us reserve at a restaurant and offered to help us find tour guides for the city.
The breakfast is also a strong point of the Hotel. Instead of the buffet, they treated us with multiple courses that tasted really good.

This fantastic hotel completed the experience of our two night stay in Matera. We were a family staying in three rooms, and we all loved it.

The breakfast is plentiful and with high quality.

The structure is very nice new and tastefully decorated, great location our accommodation very nice and comfortable excellent breakfast and then not to mention the owner very friendly and available to meet all our needs at the reception Victor also very professional we had a great time highly recommended.

Our room was nice and comfortable, but what really made this place stand out was the roof terrace, overlooking the city. After a full day in Matera, we were more than ready to sit and take in the views while sipping a glass of wine. And the location can't be beat. It is close to all the major attractions in Matera and there is a great restaurant next door. We loved our stay and highly recommend this place to anyone.
