Cinque Elementi Luxury Rooms 5 Elementi Sassi Matera

We stayed in Vento, a really cool cave room. It was spacious enough, with a rather big bathroom as well. The view over the old town from our door was stunning!
The mattress was rather stiff though and the heater was pretty loud throughout the night.
Breakfast was a buffet with everything you need. The price was very reasonable during off season.

We recommend this place from the bottom of our heart! Amazing experience. The interior of the room makes you feel true atmosphere of this old city. Wonderful experience!

We went to Cinque Elementi to look for two nice view rooms. As the rooms were fully booked, Irene helped us to find a nice apartment to stay with fantastic views like this hotel. Thank you very much 👍.

This is a very cool, modern place set in an old cave in the Sassi Barisano area (hence no windows apart from front door). Room is very spacious and luxe in all respects. Small kitchen area useful for making tea etc. Breakfast was downstairs in the central room where you register and included all the usual continental fare. Registration was efficient yet very firm that early check in was not possible. That said, at the appointed time we were efficiently checked in. Because it is in vehicle restricted area pay attention to provided parking instructions and if walking there avoid the stony steps by entering from Via Santa Cesarae (not Vico S Cesarae). Because it is in a cave, the humidifier unit runs all the time. Despite this and AC we found the room a bit humid. This was not uncomfortable, but drier air would have been preferred. Walking to everywhere in Matera was easy, notwithstanding the many steps etc that have to be navigated no matter where you stay — Piazza V Veneto was a 5 min walk.

It's a pity that only one night in 5 Elementi Sassi Matera — Superior Double Room with a shower called Fire. One night is not enough to stay in Matera. You can see a lot, but you have to stay longer to feel the atmosphere of the day and evening. The place in the cave and sleeping is truly an experience that you have to experience. Fast and nice service. The location is fantastic, everything is within easy walking distance. Breakfast indoors or on the terrace overlooking Matera. The breakfast is good and there is a choice for everyone, only coffee from capsules, which is not suitable for me in Italy. We didn't drink. There is no problem with parking on the neighboring streets. The bed is comfortable and the shower in the cave is a great bath. This is probably the most beautiful experience of hotel stays in Italy. We highly recommend it because it is worth experiencing in this place.

It's the first review I do but here it's worth it. I just spent two nights here, the rooms are beautiful clean and the staff very friendly with a great breakfast served in the terrace. I recommend it!

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful property nestled among the stones, very friendly staff and always available at every request. I chose the fire room with the peculiarity of sleeping in the cave… what a wonderful experience I would repeat tomorrow. Thanks to the guys who welcomed you with kindness is a wonderful smile. I've always wanted to go to a place like this… WONDERFUL structure. Taken care of in detail. Friendly staff. It was like feeling at home… We will definitely come back.
