Structure in the historic street of Sasso Caveoso, rich in history to visit, wonderful stones just to look at and places to discover.
Very kind and helpful welcome, we also received several very useful tips for stopping to eat; check-in even remotely is very easy (just be careful that the entrance is after two steps down, you just have to keep an eye out to find it).
Very nice room: quite large (both the bed, very comfortable, and the bathroom; shower and sinks all new, you can see) but capable of maintaining the characteristic appearance of the stones.
The owners had warned us of a background noise in the room that we would find (but could deactivate) : the reality is that it turned out to be a very pleasant white noise in the background, also useful for sleeping.
VERY CONVENIENT location to feel immersed in the history of Matera, to visit it and to breathe its authentic air.
Since it is a downhill street, it is perhaps not very convenient for luggage (but all of Matera is not), but if you want by car you can get there before the historic center and the restricted traffic zone, one person stays there with their luggage while the other go and park there 10 minutes away (free and safe parking just before the castle).
Romantic room and B&B, but which we would also have chosen.
➜ We were very satisfied with this b&b. The location is very convenient for walking around in peace. It is located in the Sasso Caveoso, in our opinion the most fascinating and interesting part of the city. The room is very characteristic and clean, there is everything you need. Below, a well-stocked common area available to guests. The managers are very kind and helpful. They advised us where to have an aperitif, where to dine and what to visit in the city (all excellent advice! ) if we return to Matera we will know where to stay!

Perfect location for those who want to visit Matera. The owners will be able to give you precise and functional information on parking, places to visit and restaurants.
As for the room, it is a little "cramped" to fit two of us for more than two days, but furnished with great care and beauty.
