Reviews of Hostal Siberia Cuenca
I stayed in a private room for way cheaper than the other places were charging, and this was during the Guayaquil independence day weekend. You get what you pay for, but at least it was clean and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was what you'd expect: some fruit, toast, a bit of cheese, coffee, juice. All-in-all, it was a good place for the money.
Pros: Inexpensive. Convenient. Close to Old Town. But the things that we didn't like: our cold rooms. Tiny bathrooms. Noisy at night even at 3:30 in the morning. And breakfast was lackluster.

I have stayed in two rooms. The room in the second floor is in desperate need of a renovation. First floor room was okay but having the windows open or closed makes almost no difference in blocking the noise from the busy street — windows needs to be replaced! The window blind doesn’t make the room dark…
Wifi in the room not working most times. You need to go to the door for the connection to be strong enough.
No power outlet next to the bad.
No credit cards accepted!
Now the worst part: for one day and one morning there was NO WATER and they were absolutely ignorant about it. They blamed the city but the reason for not having water is absolutely irrelevant for me as a guest. Giving one night for free would be the least they could have done. But they still wanted the full price. After arguing 20min about it, they gave a discount of $10 🤦🏻♂️
Also charging double the price for one room, when you stay with two people makes no sense at all…
Very bad guest service and I don’t recommend staying there! A lot of better options available in the city…
