Peaceful and relaxing, it was a wonderful 3-day experience! The boat trips and the national park visit were excellent with our fantastic guide Daniel, thanks to whom we saw many different species!

Lovely relaxed accommodation with a beautiful deck overlooking the river and right in the centre of town. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable with air conditioning.

I really enjoyed staying here. It's maintained by French people. They are so friendly and helpful. The place is full of nature and swimming pool.

Rooms were good, hosts were extra accommodating, what disappointed us a little was the toilet seat. It looked disgusting even though it was was clean.

The owner and her son were so helpful and hospitable. She made me one of the best meals I had in Costa Rica. Gorgeous property too!

Our cabina was very comfortable and fully furnished with all equipements useful for our stay. The hosts are very nice and helpful.

I stayed here hoping to see poison dart frogs. Because there wasn’t much rain, it was difficult to find them, but thanks to Anita’s help, I was able to see them one by one.

Perfect Hostel! The service team is wonderful — they really care about you, know which tours you have booked and ask how your day was. Better than in some hotels!

Fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked (oil, rice, and many seasonings, albeit no free coffee/tea) and clean.

As for 1 star hotel, we got everything we needed, car park on the front, great location, friendly stuff, easy check in :)

Very nice place to stay for layover to Tortuguero. The room has everything & the reception was very good. Every room has their own parking spot in front of the room.

Excellent hostel all around. I booked a private room, which was across the street from the actual hostel.

Hosts are lovely, the place is quiet and people are friendly. Kitchens are reasonably stocked with utensils and pots and pans, bowls and plates.

For me it was a great place to stay in Cahuita. Quiet, I was able to rest well. It’s close to everything and the owner is friendly.

We loved our stay here. First the set up in the little village of San Francisco and by the water is gorgeous. I couldn't get enough of the view from the breakfast porch.

Roots family doesn’t only have family in their name, they live it. I fell in love with the interior, it feels so calm and immediately like home.

My friend and I stayed in the hostel for one week. We felt very welcomed there as the staff was really friendly and helped us out with everything.

I spent three weeks at Amaya’s and I fell in love with the place. The Taylor’s are a very welcoming family even including me in their Christmas Eve dinner!

The accommodation is functional and only a few steps away from the beautiful beach (inviting for long walks). We were delighted of the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts.

Basic hotel — value was good based on how low cost it was. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But be prepared — no AC. We knew beforehand of course and thought it wouldn’t really be an issue.

Cannot recommend this place more, it is absolutely magical and the owner is so genuine, warm and kind. 4 pals had an amazing time!
The setting is a lot nicer than closer to puerto viejo.
