This is a great place for an affordable price! The food is excellent and the rooms are comfortable and clean. You can easily walk to a quiet beach down a lovely path or to the quebrada de Valencia.

Great experience! We ended up staying for 6 days, from the original 2 day plan since this place was so convenient, cozy and the staff were very helpful and sweet. Food was delicious and economic.

Cacao hostel is a quaint, comfortable and clean hostel in a great location. I volunteered here and really enjoyed my time, getting to know the guests.

I stayed here 4 times in two weeks, as I used it as a base that I kept coming back to in between multi-day trips to Tayrona, Minca, and trekking to the Ciudad Perdida.

Great people and hostel, with a cool little pool and included breakfast with coffee refills which are always great. They are also very helpful with organising anything you may need.

My stay in La Guaca was amazing. I felt really welcomed by the people here from the staff Sofie, isa and tiffany as well as the owners. I had a great time in santa marta.

The mirror was missing the stand I placed it on a chair so I could see my whole body view. There wasn't warm water for a comfortable shower I'm not good with cool to cold showers.

Simple, inexpensive and social backpacker hostel in a central location in Santa Marta. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom — perfectly fine for a short stay in town!

The rooms are ok, but can be cleaner. A lot of ants everywhere. The location is awesome, it has direct access to the beach. Food is good. And the promises are basic for the price.

I enjoyed my stay from first to last minute! There are many areas to relax and discover. Kitchen well equipped, relax area above with hammocks and bay view, a refreshing pool.

The place is very clean and safe. The complementary breakfast is a plus. The owners Olga & Oscar are an asset tho this beatiful and cozy place. I stayed 1 week and They made me feel at home.

£4 a night! To stay at one of the nicest hostels I’ve been to in South America! The only thing is the location is a bit off but the hostel itself is amazing value for money.
