I accidentally gave the wrong rating on Agoda and couldn’t change it, so I’m sharing my honest review here.

Excellent Stay at Taipei Sunny Hostel!
Our recent stay at Taipei Sunny Hostel was absolutely wonderful, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.

Hands-down the best hostel I've stayed at in 90 countries traveled. Five star hostel, if a hostel could be five stars. The staff are incredibly nice.

I stayed at private room with a double bed for 2 nights.
The common area was clean and quiet. Breakfast were good.
The location is fsntastic. Taipei station of Airport Line is very close.

We stayed in one of the standard double rooms. The hostel is conveniently located near the airport metro, the main station, and the historical Dihua Street, which is a significant advantage.

A very nicely maintained, clean and cool hostel. I took the solo room with shared washroom and was pretty happy with my stay.

I had a great stay during my time in Taipei with the hostel. The toilets are clean and I love the layout of the capsule. Everyone is kind and super friendly.

I’ll mention some positive points about the hostel: they offer a kind of sleeping pod that provides good privacy, and the internal space of the pod is quite spacious, allowing you to keep your

Cleanest Hostel I‘ve ever been to. Especially the showers and bathroom. Communication is great, the walkable area is also great. There even is a cute little balcony.

Quiet area and place. Really appreciate that there's a coffee shop down the hostel. Very close to the train station as well.

Very convenient location. Just a few mins walk from Taipei Main Station. Also accessible from aiport bus stop. The staffs are very nice and the amenities are great.

24/7 McDonald's is right at upstairs.
Big and thick towel is provided.
Only 6 beds per room. Separate male and female shower/toilet.

Stay 5 nites on Jan 2026. The room was standard, with ensuite bathroom inside. Not such a fancy stylish hostel, but ok for sleeping. The location is superb.

We got a private room with no window and it was good value for the price. The common area is nice with kitchen facilities.

We were a group of nine people and booked two rooms. The location is highly commendable, as it is only about a 10-minute walk to the station and 5-minute walk to shopping district.

The location is simply the best!

You can see the owner puts a lot of care in the hostel. Everything is super clean, staff is friendly.

Chance upon this location while looking for a place to store luggage. Owner is super friendly and hospitable even though we are here for luggage storage only, he treated us as guest.

Here’s the pros and cons after a 3 days 2 night stay:
✅ PROS:
— Near the train stations.
— Comfortable bed.
— Walking / Cycling distance to museums and attractions.
— Wallet friendly.

Went here on January. Price is reasonable if youre in Taipei.
Rooms were good enough. But I wish the bathrooms were clean more thoroughly as well as the other shared tools like hairdryer.

Located near yanping nan road, just exit ximending station 4 and walk 6 min to the hostel. The room is double bunk bed and can choose upper or lower bed when making the booking.

My husband and I stayed at OwlStay Flip Flop Hostel near Taipei Main Station for eight days and had a generally positive experience.
The location is definitely one of its biggest strengths.

Cute hostel near Taipei main station and Taipei bus station. The hostel has very cool characteristics, decor is so hip. As usual, the room is small but it's worth the value that u paid.

Good for the price! The room is super tiny, but enough room for 1 person. I like how there is a big window facing the street, so it doesn’t feel too claustrophobic. The front desk agent was nice.

Great location. The room is old and many impractical features. There is no hand rail or shelves in the bathroom. Small room is difficult to manage suitcase.

I read the reviews before booking and I would say my overall experience was better than expected.
The location is conveniently beside M8 exit of the station.

I like my quick stay here.
Men are separate from women rooms.
The shower room can get messy because of water spills when taking a bath. Toilet has no buttgun/bidet.
No free towel but you can rent.

Had a nice stay here, room and bathrooms felt clean and never crowded.
Was solo so the room was small but I could work with it.
Towels and other basic amenities provided.

This is a good option for solo travelers who want an affordable stay in Taipei but don’t want to stay in hostels to maintain personal privacy.

Easy access to. Taipei Main Station and eateries nearby. Wholesale market downstairs allows convenient shopping for daily groceries. Helpful staff. 24hr front desk.

Very good location. Staff are accommodating. Rooms are clean. Do not inspect for a quiet environment because the price is affordable and cheaper than other accommodation.

Great enough for the value. We got 2 rooms good for 7 persons for around Php 3, 000 only per night. You can self check in, but the staff are still very accommodating. Drinking water is available.

Very good value budget hotel. Great location for Ximending and restaurants… Clean rooms, good shower. Kettle, Hot water for tea… TV, comfortable bed. Nice staff, really helpful.

This is a pretty cute little hostel. It has a water filter and they said fourth floor has laundry but I didn't use it. The ac in the rooms is strong, but there is only fans in the common areas.

Staff is extremely nice and helpful A+ A+ A+. So lucky to stay in a place with 3 mins walk to an elevator exit of Taipei main station for MRT to catch train to an airport.

We stayed here for one night and felt that you really get what you pay for. The rate is around ₱1, 000 per night for 2 persons (approximately USD 18), which is very budget-friendly.

Cute little hostel at walkable distance from Longshan and Xining MRT Stations. The staff is helpful, friendly, and speaks English. The hostel is cute and very clean.

Stayed four nights. I didnt expect too much, the only reason to stay there was I used to live and wanted to look around.
