I had a wonderful experience staying here! The staff were kind and spoke English very well. I booked the wrong date, but they went above and beyond to help me, which I truly appreciate.

It is a nice place to stay for solo travellers. The location is perfect for those who want to move a lot around the city as it is near Taipei main station which is the center of transportation hub.

Amazing value for a 1-night stay! I booked a private room for my overnight layover in Taipei. It was very easy to get to from the airport via the airport express train + 20 minutes walk.

Best hostel I have every stayed in. Laoban is such a great guy, feels more like a friend than staff.

The room was good and tidy but small. Breakfast: they falsely labelled meat dumplings as vegetarian. The milk tea and orange juice are too sweet for my taste.

I picked this hotel for it's convenient location to where I needed to be early morning next day. I was a little concerned about the self check-in, as sometimes those things can go wrong.

Literally every part of my stay made me smile. I booked and checked in on the same day with zero issues because the front desk was incredibly helpful. The room was spotless and exactly what I needed.

Great, central location for cheap price. Bathroom in room. Small fridge was shared in the hallway for the floor. No elevator.

Nice room, friendly and helpful staff, the Wi-Fi is very good, the Japanese style toilet seat is great, and there are many restaurants and food choices nearby.

Service was legit very good! I told them I’ll be placing my luggage there for quite a while as I was heading out. They were so nice and helped me checked in our luggages. Very prompt response.

Location is great but no flushable toilet paper is painful. In unit laundry is nice (in unit dryer would have been even nicer).

Fantastic location, just a few steps from the main train station which is perfect with luggage. The hostel isn't cheap (Taiwan prices) but it is super clean and comfortable.

Proximity to shops and station made me choose Poshpacker for several years. I am glad they recently opened a brand new property for females only across from the main building. It is new.

I have stayed two nights and it was really convenient. I reserved single room but I've got upgraded to two bed room.

Very good location. Just 100-200m from exit M7. If you take room 1 on all floors, you will hear the road. It’s quite noisy from nearby buildings during the day.

I stay at this place whenever I visit taipei. 5-10 times already to date. It's more of a youth hostel than a hotel which is okay for me cos I stay alone.

While many tourists prefer staying in the Ximending area, we chose to book our stay at Silken Hotel in the Zhongshan District. And we’re glad we did.

I stayed there for 3 nights at room 305. The large window is good with sunlight coming in the morning. There is hardly noise although my room faces the road and a highway.

The hotel staff, especially Ms. Kai, are very friendly, kind, and nice. She is also knowledgeable about tourist attractions.
Free coffee, ice, and high-speed internet are provided.

This place really became my home in Taipei. Spent two weeks here in the female dorm room. The rooms are clean and built to match the backpackers needs.

Here’s the pros and cons after a 3 days 2 night stay:

— Walking / Cycling distance to museums and attractions.
— Wallet friendly.

Highly recommended accommodation. It’s in a great location, has free breakfast, and has free tours. The rooms are comfy but nothing special. They accept card or cash.

Located near yanping nan road, just exit ximending station 4 and walk 6 min to the hostel. The room is double bunk bed and can choose upper or lower bed when making the booking.

I’m giving this a 5-star rating because the stay matched my expectations perfectly for the price point.

Generally the room, toilet and public area are clean but small.

IMPORTANT: Reasonable price, accommodating staff, and very strategic location especially if you don't want to stay in crowded areas like Ximending but can still access the Taipei Main Station easily.

Very close to Taipei Main station. Check in a check out is on the 4th floor through a machine which didnt work. Both check in and check out didnt work!

This hotel is value for money. Strategic location near Taipei main station, friendly and helpful staff. Room is big enough for packing luggage. Though is sharing toilet, it is very clean.

The location is conveniently beside M8 exit of the station.

Men are separate from women rooms.
The shower room can get messy because of water spills when taking a bath. Toilet has no buttgun/bidet.
No free towel but you can rent.

Location is perfect, you are literally next to Ximen walker paradise. Staff was super friendly. Place felt clean and comfortable. An overall cool hostel.

This is a pretty cute little hostel. It has a water filter and they said fourth floor has laundry but I didn't use it. The ac in the rooms is strong, but there is only fans in the common areas.
