Everything you need and some more. Very cool hotel, with stylish industrial feeling rooms. There's quality air conditioning, it was very clean, there's cable TV, a coat hanger, and power points by the bed. The toilet was high tech and it will be missed 😂. The hotel goes beyond what is expected with pillow perfection, fresh towels available in the hallway at any time, free ear plugs, and a Nespresso coffee station. The only thing I didn't love is a lack of space between the shower and curtain but I was able to prop the curtain up on the closed toilet lid to give adequate space. The location is perfect, a short walk from the main station with banks, a laundromat, and restaurants nearby.
I stay at this place whenever I visit taipei. 5-10 times already to date. It's more of a youth hostel than a hotel which is okay for me cos I stay alone.
Pros: near taipei main station, airport line, convenience store below, beds quite comfortable, staff are generally helpful, walkable to ximending if u want to.
Cons: single and bunk rooms are small and tight, hard to open ur baggage; generally clean but the place is getting rusty and facilities getting old — sometimes it doesn't work so have to feedback to the staff and they have tried to fix it e. G. Doors doesn't lock, shower tap handle broken. The biggest problem for me is that the air ventilation is poor, and the room remains very damp, making it a conducive area for pests — I had to kill a small cockroach in my room on 2 occasions =/
After all it is an old building. I hope the hotel can engage pest control regularly or change the ventilation system so that the roach problem can be solved.

I went to this place before about a year and half ago. The first time I stayed in Taipei, I stayed at the Xinyi District location. It was not the only hotel I booked, but it was the best. That location is right next to Peter Better coffee, and of course all the Taipei 101 shopping. It was very comfortable and even rather quiet, in spite of being in one of the busiest sections of the city.
So this time, a year and a half later, I headed to the same place. But I didn't book ahead. They said they were full for the night, but they could have me at the Taipei main station location. So I went there and found the room to have the same cozy setup I experienced before. The front desk is manned by someone who speaks good English, too! Rather relaxing since I spent most of this trip using my broken Mandarin just to test myself. Very clean and comfy, too!
I will be trying to book this place every time I come to Taipei!
