Great place to relax. Big space, great staff.

My husband and I planned an overnight getaway in Montreal; we chose Hotel Kutuma because of the reviews, location and pictures. They offer valet service if you dont want to park on the street, but call 10 min or so in advance to give them a heads up so they can meet you outside the building. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were a little early for check in, so they held our bags while we walked around the area for a bit. Once we got to the room (penthouse suite). …. We both loved the room. Spacious, nice decor, amazing lighting, full kitchen, comfortable bed, and absolutely the best bathroom with a jetted tub we have ever stayed in. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, walkind distance from a lot of amazing attractions and restaurants. Being that we were on a main road in the middle of the city, there was not a ton of street noise keeping us up (I'm a very light sleeper). It was a very relaxing evening, we both agree it was worth every penny. I have already recommended this hotel to friends that want to visit based off pictures I showed them. ❤ BTW we didnt eat at the Ethiopian restaurant that night, but will next time we visit, and our room smelled like delicious food right by the doorway from the restaurant in the evening.

Best kept secret in Montreal! Hospitality 5 star! Beautiful spacious rooms with just right touches! Highly recommend!

Excellent staff. Super friendly and helpful. We came home one night late and the kitchen was closed. The manger on duty provided us with a fruit platter on the house which made our night. The rooms are very large and well kept. Very quite as well. The location is ideal if you take the subway as it's only a couple mins walk away.

This hotel is just perfect! I came with my husband for our anniversary. The bathroom is very spacious and the bathtub is huge. The kitchenette was unexpected but convenient. The balcony was nice, we ate our breakfast up there. The downfall is that since our room was on the second floor, the music was little loud from their joint restaurant.

Really nice hotel, with a unique Ethiopian theme, we got the Queen suite, great space, nice and well equipped kitchen, great view, there was also a Jacuzzi in our bathroom, super kind and friendly staff! Definitely coming back soon!

My favourite hotel in Montreal! Clean, beautiful, very nice design! The restaurant is also fantastic! Delicious food! The staff very helpful and friendly! Well deserved 5 STARS!

The room was gorgeous — very funky decor. Service was exceptional!

I paid 28$ for a parking with the hotel. It took them 30 minutes to simply check me out and get my car. Nobody at the front desk for 15mins. The room was ok. But really, it is a pain when it takes you 30mins just for the check out process.

Awesome hotel. Clean, friendly, welcoming, and rooms are 10 times better than similarly priced alternatives. Would absolutely stay here again.

Location was very close to the metro station so it was great. Ample street parking. The room was large and stylish. The bathroom was very nice and has a large tub to soak in!

My husband and I deliberately chose the penthouse suite for mainly to whirlpool hot tub, ambiance. The tub did not work. We called and obviously they couldn't do much. No Manager but we asked if they could reduce the charges and they only reduced it by $25?! I thought they could have done more on a almost $425 room.

This hotel on St. Denis is located in conjunction with a delicious Ethiopian restaurant. Incredibly helpful and accommodating staff and a top level suite with a bathroom that will blow your mind!

Fabulous stay here. The room, the location and the staff are wonderful. The only thing that was slightly disappointing about my stay is that they tried to charge me for a breakfast I never had. While the issue was rectified quickly, it was a little strange.

Friendliest and most helpful staff we encountered during our 3 week trip throughout the Québec province. Also easily the best bed and pillows. Loved the interior design, good facilities in the room.

The staff and the rooms were absolutely amazing. What's amazing is that you are so close to the subway and many restaurants; only had to use my car when I was leaving Montreal. From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but once inside the rooms are great. Only downside is that there is no hotel self parking area, but the staff was great with valet parking.

What an excellent full experience of Ethiopian cuisine. Uniq presentation of old traditional food. The restaurant was very clean and a treat to look at.

Fantastic boutique hotel with an Ethiopian flair. Superior rooms, staff, and location make for the perfect place from which to explore Montreal. Bonus: superb Ethiopian food available for room service including many vegan options.

Stayed there for a week-end during Grand-Prix and I was amazed. Great location, next to a metro, couple minutes from Downtown and the old-port. It's a small boutique hotel (Ethiopian themed). Beds were comfortable, my room was quiet and the staff was extremely friendly/helpful. Also, it's a combo with 'Blue Nile' an excellent 4 stars Ethiopian restaurant. I'll book again.

I stayed here on Dec 2014 I would say the service is normal as to any other hotels. Nothing exceptional. No special consideration for newly wed couple on honeymoon.

To me it is the best hotel in Montreal period.

Great Hotel, Great Stay! Warm comfortable personnel.

So, my husband and I just stayed here for a night and really liked it. The room was huge and gorgeous for this price point (around $125 USD). It was very very comfortable and had a full-size kitchen, couches and big bathroom, and a big soft king size bed — which was such a nice treat since I'm 7 months pregnant. A couple little things. Our room was a 3 flight walk up. Again, I'm preggers, otherwise this wouldn't have really mattered. Also, we got there around 11am knowing it was early, but thought we'd just see if the room was ready. It wasn't, but they they were happy to take our car, hold onto our luggage and said we could check in at 2pm. No biggie — we went on our way and came back at 2pm. The bummer was that our room still wasn't ready. But they served us tasty drinks on the house and seated us in the restaurant and after maybe 15 minutes we were all set. The room had a jacuzzi which was awesome and we didn't know about. Unfortunately, not long after we were it it, it just started draining — the drain didn't work I guess. And the shower head dripped on us and actually dripped the entire time we were there — so they need to fix that. Also, I'm not kidding when I say that the light switches in the room were way too complicated. They were impossible to figure out — they have this automated dimmer or whatever and I don't remember a single time we successfully turned them all off — it was kind of ridiculous. Also, at night the Wi-Fi was slooooow.
