Nice rooms, very nice breakfast with entertainment by the hosts, fine neighbourhood.

We had a very nice clean and non-frilly room, a very comfortable bed, and our room was one of two with a private bath. Our stay was very relaxing and the location can't be beat. Metro stop is 5 min away, but many tourist locations are no more than a 25 min walk. Many restaurants and a few markets are nearby, some serving very late or even 24 hrs. It's in a nice neighborhood and there's a beautiful park with a fountain around the corner. Our hosts were welcoming and provided a lot of local color and suggestions. However, breakfast was a little disappointing as there was no protein at all on 2 mornings, and only egg dishes on others. But lots of other little amenities like ice, espresso, and umbrellas were nice. A good value for the price.

Very nice people. Very accommodating to guest needs. Did a great job making special meals for me since of my food allergies. Very clean bathrooms, towels, and very warm place.

The house is magnificent, and the hosts are wonderfull. It's also very easy to walk to most of downtown.

You are guests in a loved and cared victorian manor. The two gentlemen who welcome you in this jump to the past are the highlight of the stay. It is with smiles and laughter that you will enjoy a well cooked breakfast sitted in this wonderful dinning room. The location of this Gingerbread Manor is just perfect, just a walk away from parks, metro, restaurants and other interesting places to see and take pictures. After visiting the surroundings, it is with pleasure that you come back to this fairy tale to eat and rest. You will not regret staying in this charming hotel!

Beautiful home in a perfectly located neighborhood. Every part of the city is within walking distance. Enjoyed time with the hosts and the delicious breakfasts as well.

Amazing place! The host's are two amazing guys. They are very, very knowledgeable about the city. They are also very funny, always having a joke ready lol. The rooms are nice and plenty big enough. The breakfasts are truly incredible I would recommend this place to anyone. It's near a nice city park and within walking distance of plenty of good restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for a vacation about 2 years ago. I never got around to writing a review because we had a third baby and have been pretty busy. I wanted to make sure to come back and write a proper review. We absolutely loved our stay at the gingerbread manor. The gentlemen in charge are so hospitable and kind. The breakfasts in the morning are simply amazing. I bought a book hoping to recreate their amazing macarons but have failed miserably. We had never been to Montreal before and we're so thankful for their knowledge and suggestions on where to go. They helped with reservations and made everything so easy for us. We stayed in the Frontenac room and just loved it. Everything was impeccably clean. We had a great big window and a nice amount of space for the two of us. I arrived at the manor very sick. I had gotten food poisoning back home and could barely get out of bed the first few days. One of the men not only helped with guiding my husband to the pharmacy, but drove him there himself and got out of the car to assist him in getting what he needed. They went above and beyond and we were so appreciative. We always recommend the Gingerbread Manor to anyone who is going to Montreal. We hope to stay there again someday!

Great hosts and a lovely building. The street was quiet, but still within walking distance of many of Montreal's landmarks. Our hosts made wonderful breakfasts and helped us with a restaurant reservation. We would be happy to stay here again.

Pleasant, century-old house, within walking distance to major downtown attractions. Everything is in order and you will have what you need handy for a comfortable vacation. Very friendly owners and delicious breakfasts. Already thinking about going back.

Great Couples Get Away! My boyfriend took me on a surprise getaway here on Valentine's Weekend. We felt very welcomed by our hosts and the rooms are delightful! Some of the best nights sleep I have had. I am gluten free and was delightfully surprised to not only have them accommodate my dietary needs, but greeted with excitement every morning about each new recipe! They were also great at recommending restaurants and places to visit! The location is perfect for visiting Old Montreal and Downtown Area! We were allowed to have some nice downtime as well and enjoyed getting to watch movies in bed! We look forward to coming back to visit again!

Spent a few days in early Oct. Really liked the Victorian building and the wonderful location close to both downtown and St. Louis Square. The breakfast was terrific and different every day. The hosts Yves and Ephraim were very helpful with restaurants and sightseeing. The place to stay in Montreal.
