They just opened up the Aurora lounge again… and my favourite waitress Kortney is back! Besides her awesomeness, the rest of the staff is also super nice and helpful.

I am very happy, from the friendly service to the company beds with super soft sheets. It’s worth every penny!

I was here for training on my birthday and the staff treated me like royalty! I'm just so blown away at the personal service, the thoughtfulness and the professionalism of every staff member, from each housekeeper who greeted us in the hallway, to the restaurant staff (don't even get me started in the Starbucks staff! So much laughter… Irene! ) and the team at reception, who greeted me by name everyday! Yes, they actually remembered my name!
I'm beyond grateful! I'm in awe at this team, who looked after every little detail… which we all know are actually the big details.

Very pleasant hotel. Rooms are clean and we'll set up. Was greeted courteously and the check-in process was quick and painless. Amenities are good and the gym at s actually pretty decent. Great for business travel with a central location.

We rented a higher tier room with a full kitchen, living room and one bedroom upstairs. Very well laid out and Clean. The event hall, the Crystal hall, was small but perfect for the event. The food was delicious.

Went for a wedding reception. The decor was fantastic. So were the rest of the facilities. However, the food left to be desired. Most of the food served was Indian cuisine and I must say they fell short of expectations. The appetizers were served cold. Didn't try the desserts so can't comment on the that.

The staff at this hotel are just amazing. The hotel looks dated from the outside but the inside is clean and comfortable with modern updates. But the care from the staff is exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure comfort. We had a 4 year old with us and we were promptly greeted with a lovely bag of fun goodies (like a slinky which was a huge hit), and they offer a pet fish in your room for the kids to enjoy! The staff even put together a lovely plate of fruit and banana bread for us to enjoy. I seriously can't rave enough about how wonderful the staff is. Will stay here again!

Excellent hotel! We have stayed at many Marriott hotels, but this hotel immediately appreciated our platinum status and made us feel at home. We stayed in the family suite with bunk beds which our children are still raving about! Each bunk bed had an individual TV with DVD player and the kids were able to pick out a DVD at the front desk. The kids also received a welcome gift with goodies and games. The room was clean and nicely updated. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and updated. The parking was abundant. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and service oriented. We booked the rate that included tickets to the West Ed Mall amusement park. No issues with the tickets, everything was seamless. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the hotels we regularly stay at when visiting our visiting Edmonton. It's conveniently located, modern, very well kept and has a 24hr gym and pool (not 24hr) as well. What gives this place the edge over all other hotels we stay at is the service that goes above and beyond. Last stay the check-in staff. Accommodated an upgraded (larger) suite free of charge and sent up complimentary wine and a fruit plate to celebrate my husband's birthday! We've stayed at many a hotel from 3-5+ star and consider service that goes above and beyond as key for us recommending the hotel to anyone!

We stayed here for a regimental dinner and we are so glad we stayed an extra night. The room was spotless, every single staff member was friendly and accommodating and the room service breakfast was fast and delicious! We will be back!

The servers at the bar are very good at remembering things… if you have been there you know what I'm talking about. You tell 1 of them your name, and they all call you by name for the duration of your stay. Never even talked to the bartender until she came out from behind the bar to our table and asked if I wanted another Tito's and tonic. Great service food is top notch, and I can't get enough of the snack mix that the put on you table when you arrive!

Went to sing for a wedding. The concierge was very helpful! I look forward to attending events here in the future!

Comfortable, modern, well appointed rooms. Great service. Parking can be challenging if you don’t discover the parkade — if you find the parkade, getting into the hotel can be an adventure. But hey it’s free parking, and covered, which is important in the winter.

I have not stayed at the Delta Edmonton South, but I have attended hundreds of morning meetings and events there and they all go off without a hitch thanks to the great team they have built there. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all delicious. If they run their rooms like they run their events, this is the place to stay on the south side!

Attended a conference. Everything was perfect. Rooms were clean and fresh. Food was tasty. Hot tub was so welcome at the end of the day and the hours are accommodating. I highly recommend renting the Top of the Inn for any event. The room is spacious and has a "starlight" ceiling.

I was at a private party in the restaurant and it was very well served. The staff was fast and friendly and the food was great! I'd totally recommend for a function.

Comfortable suite, friendly staff. Serviceable pool and gym. I was in the family suite that had a bunk bed for two kids tucked away in their private little room. Each bed had their own TV, which I'm not sure parents are keen on. Very cool that they have that option, though.

Nice dog friendly hotel. The beds were ok, press we a bit hard for my preference though. Fitness facility was small but had all the necessities. Mostly machines, cardio equipment and some dumbbells. Lots of families staying there the weekend we did so the pool was really busy. Front desk staff and room service wee very friendly. Free apples and oranges all day. Location was easy to get to and lots of amenities nearby.

Ok spot on the outskirts of the city. If you need to be downtown there are better options, but if you're just dropping in this place is fine. Our stay was ruined by a hockey tournament in town with kids roaming the hallways yelling and knocking on random doors. Can't really factor that into this rating since that could happen at any larger hotel, but I would ask the desk if they are hosting large groups of kids before I book here again.

I love the staff here and the lounge. Top notch. The cafe is great too — a decent latte can be had. If you are a traveller. You need the Marriot program and a bunch of stays to unlock free breakfast. The facility is dated. They do thier best to spruce it up, but the age of the building shows. The rooms have strange noises from the water pipes or something. Covered, heated parking, say no more! So great to have a warm car in frosty morning. The gym is good and I really appreciate the free bottles water in the room. There is water in the gym that is filtered. So if you pass on the housekeeping for extra rewards points, you can survive.

The Delta Marriott Edmonton South is my go to place to stay in Edmonton. Easily accessible, pleasant staff, and clean rooms highlight my stays. A great hotel and my favorite in the area.

Bi-level suite is awesome. They have treated our entire team terrifically! Great place to stay.

Stayed here for two nights on a business trip. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming and the room was spacious and comfortable. The event I attended took place in one of the conference rooms at the hotel. It was modern, spacious, and the amenities provided (coffee, tea, food) were all excellent and the staff providing them were friendly and never once interfered with the proceedings.

Solid hotel with decent rooms. A bit of a challenging location to get in and out of if you're not coming off the The rooms are surprisingly quiet but the water pressure. Wasnt that great. Overall the food was decent too but when the hotel is full the bar can be pretty crowded. Overall pretty good for business travel.

Definitely a step up from my usual experience. I travel frequently for work and the staff at the Delta went the extra mile. The “libations specialist and culinary tour guide” (not your ordinary experience indeed) was an absolute delight and her personality matched her title.

What an incredible stay! The room was lovely, modern and clean, the food and coffee was delicious and the service and friendliness of the staff was delightful! Thank you for a lovely visit! Also, the indoor heated parking lot was glorious as was the heated pool and would like to mention the infused water is an amazing touch as is the fresh fruit. We will be back to visit again and again!

Rooms are pretty good. I liked the bar and the lobby space specially — bright ambience. Good hotel over all.

Booked a semi private room at 4404 restaurant. Good food and service in nice surroundings. A little bit pricey for the quality of food, but not outrageously so.

Bang for the $ I think this is the best hotel I have stayed at in Alberta. Not just that but from the minute I got here Kiera at the front desk was great and sympathetic to my bad day and had a treat for the dog, who everybody loved it seems. Melody in the lounge has been very nice and great to talk to. I will be back for sure.

I am editing my review — the first two stays were very good however for the third I was in a pretty noisy room and they didn’t really deal with it. After posting this review they rectified and gave me a complimentary stay for the trouble. Thank you.

We love staying at Delta South. They were our home for 1 month in a half while the 2016 Fort McMurray wild fire. They welcome us and our dogs with open arms. Everytime we come in town we always stay over there because our furry friends are always welcome and treat like kings. 5 stars for Delta South!

Hotel service was the best! some people say best service is a flawless service… I say best service is how they manage to provide solutions on issues as quickly as possible without interruption of an event, I personally experince this service and I say this is truly best customer service.

Desserts are great! Foods are good too. We were on the top floor, the only thing os that bathroom doesnt have the change diaper place. Otherwise great experience.

Excellent appetizers. The steak was decent. Dessert was good and went very well with the coffee. It's been a while since I've had such good coffee. The staff was nice. Overall, I'm impressed with what Delta has to offer.

State of the president's Suite which has a two story room with it. Parties usually get so wild somebody rides the coffee table naked down the stairs with something stupid on their head like a lampshade. They never complain about noise and never bother the party. That deserve six stars if you ask me.

We attended a wedding at the Top of the Inn. There was a plated dinner which is often a concern because of food allergies. The hotel handled this extremely well. There were separate dishes for us and each other guest with allergies. The food was pretty tasty.

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Bartender kept things open a little later for us. Very accommodating staff.

This is absolutely the best hotel ever! It's the only place I will stay when I'm in Edmonton, in fact I am already booked to return there in October. My past two visits have been simply amazing. I have only encountered kind, helpful staff members at this hotel, whether it was checking in/out at the front desk or eating in their 4404 Restaurant; everyone has been very nice and welcoming to me and others traveling with me. Especially Lucila at the front desk — she is extremely sweet and attentive to us every single time. She definitely deserves an award for the best customer service I have ever received. Thank you for everything, Lucila — we really appreciate your hospitality and are looking forward to seeing you again in October!

Amazing service! Everyone was so kind and helpful! Being a single mom of 4 kids under the age of 9 staying in a hotel isn't the easiest but all the staff there were so amazing and great with my kids! Will definitely be staying there everytime we come to Edmonton.

The hotel is very nice & clean, nice pool area for kids and very friendly staff! I recommend for families with small kids looking for a getaway weekend!

Best sleep I've had in a long time. Only complaint is there wasn't enough creamers for the coffee. Would recommend staying here to anyone. 11th floor is amazing for events. View is awesome.

Stayed here for one night on a quick business trip. Checking in was easy the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. You can tell this is a very old hotel although they have renovated it. My main complaint was the breakfast that's why I am giving 4/5 stars. The coffee was not good and the choices for breakfast just weren't appealing. Just wasn't fond of the restaurant in the hotel ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. However that's a minor detail when the rooms were clean.

We stay frequently when we come to Edmonton as their family rooms are great: spacious, quiet, and my daughter loves the bunk beds in her own little cozy room. During our stay this weekend we came back from supper to find a tray in our room with complimentary juices, cookies and milk for our daughter and a snack for us with a handwritten personalized note. What a nice touch — made our night. Thank you for your above and beyond service as always!

Good location that was relatively central to where we visited. Room was clean and welcoming. Check in/out process was smooth. The A/V setup was the best because it had aux inputs like VGA, HDMI or component ready for you to plug anything into the TV.

We stayed in the Delta, during a surprise birthday party, the staff at the front desk were helpful and very friendly as you came to the door, the service during the party was fantastic both ladies were very friendly and our server Megan never left our cups of water empty, and was always smiling very impressed. I did have a slight problem with the elevator not moving but the rooms were fantastic, comfortable and well set. The best part was the beautiful salt water aquarium in the lobby!

The service is very good, the employees are polite and professional. The pool is very beautiful. There is nothing wrong, but also nothing extraordinary with the hotel.

The menu for food needs to be improved.

I had my banquet at the Delta Hotel, and I have to say, our server has been one of the worst ones that I have ever had. There was no introduction, she would just drop the plate onto the table in front of us, looked like she was bored the whole time, did not clear my salad plate, and finally, since she didn't clear my salad plate and started serving our main course, she placed the plate ON TOP OF MY PHONE, which I assume was because there was no room in front of me. All in all, one of the worst banquet experience I've had, and will not ever want to come back.

I have stayed in so many hotels that I can remember most of them. The staff at this hotel are the best I have every encountered. I don't mean some of them, I mean everyone! Very clean as well. It's my favourite hotel anywhere and not just in Edmonton.

We were visiting friends staying there and there was a mixup with the rooms. Employees said they would clean the new room and move their stuff into it but that took far longer than it should have. (3+ hours)

My favourite hotel in Edmonton. Rooms are newly renovated, big smart desks that have connections for HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, RCA so you can connect to the flat screen tv. Super comfy beds, and great food. The staff are also very friendly and willing to help out if anything needs attention.

We initially attempted to book a block of hotel rooms at the River Cree for our wedding but were so unimpressed by the staff not returning our messages and being difficult to work with, that we decided to look elsewhere. Had we known that the Delta Edmonton South was also part of the Marriott chain, we would not have chosen them. Unfortunately, we only found this out once problems started arising. We were given an email address for our guests to use to book hotel rooms for the wedding. I used the address to book our own room without any issue. However, a month or so later, my guests were telling us that the email address didn't work. When I tried to use the address again, I got an "undeliverable" bounce back as well. When we contacted the hotel and told them about this issue they claimed that (magically) our guests (plural) were the only ones for whom the address wasn't working but that they would check with IT. They did not contact me again with further information. When I told them that we had to re-order our wedding invitations because of this and asked to be reimbursed for this additional cost, they offered us a voucher for the breakfast buffet instead. I suspect that the email address they gave us is no longer in use, but they continue to claim that they have no idea why it's not working.

The rooms, lobby, and other common areas are mostly updated and clean and fresh looking. The building itself is looking dated and tired however, and the in room heaters are in need of updating. Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, and the menu in the 4404 was tasty (although limited for fussier eaters). The availability of my morning Americano in the restaurant was VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Driving to most attractions was relatively easy thanks to convenient location on the ring road. Rates are great.

Clean rooms, all is well. The staff is friendly albeit relatively incompetent. Constantly misspelling names of the guests, and it is impossible to get to the right person for what I need. I get juggled around from person to person to person and back to the first person I deal with. It is difficult to get anything done on time with these people.

We had our quarterly meeting at the hotel. The facilities are great, and the staff are professional. I think that the hotel can improve services by allowing long distance calls to be made from the conference room. We bring a conference speaker phone for remote participants, but the access numbers is not local. The concierge figured our a solution, but not a permanent one.

Conference room is nicely set up as always. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The one problem I had was the lunch at 4404, been using this hotel for 2yrs now and haven't had a lunch that I like yet.

Rooms are nice and so are the staff, underground parking doesn't have an elevator to it so it can be hard to carry all you stuff in from the car. Great hotel otherwise.

The rooms are small but still comfortable, but given the rates it was a good deal. The staff are the highlight of the hotel and are extremely professional and very friendly. Stayed with my family and we all really enjoyed ourselves there. A special thanks to Patience who went above and beyond for us while we were there and was simply amazing.

Great place for a company Christmas party. The banquet Hall was large and we'll decorated. Great time had by everyone.

Beds were uncomfortable for me and it was to hot in our room so we had to open a window that faces traffic. I brought in my backup pillow and even with that I can't sleep in the beds thinking about moving to my car for a nap before morning.

Was up last week 3 days for a conference through my work, must admit how the atmosphere in this hotel was great, friendly staff everywhere, clean rooms, hallways, and conference site, delicious food and desserts, Recommended highly for future events!

I was put up by my company for the annual Christmas Party which was also at the hotel. Have never stayed there and at first wasn't sure with the traffic on all sides that it would be quiet. But WOW what a classy hotel! We had an amazing Christmas Party that was well planned and thought out and the room was updated, modern with very well appointed renovations! No problem with sleep, noise was very minimal. That was a great event because when the party was over for me I just slipped upstairs to watch "Its a Wonderful Life" then drifted to sleep. Thank you to everyone that made this Christmas Party special.

The temperature in our room was entirely too cold the first night. Since we checked in and then were out all day until after midnight the staff told us that they would have to call maintenance the next day. The offered to bring us extra blankets which was very nice! The room wasn't the best. It seemed a little small to me and a bit outdated. Staff was accommodating enough. The next day we they had fixed the heating issue, but we next had Wi-Fi issues and they had to again send maintenance. Also, when I booked the room I booked it with my Visa Debit, but when I checked in they had told me that I could not use this to check into the room. I ended up having a stranger put their card on my room. Overall the stay wasn't too great. The staff was the only thing that brought this review up to 3 stars.

Being unable to control the temperature in the room is ridiculous. I came in the fall, and the air conditioner was on FULL BLAST all night long. Of course I called the front desk but they told me there was nothing they could do because only maintenance could do it, and they were gone for the day at 11pm. It was resolved the next day, but there was no real apology or attempt to make it up to me. One staff member who delivered my breakfast and heard my complaints the following morning did take it upon himself to give me breakfast at no charge, which was appreciated, but I wasn't satisfied that there was no recognition of the problem up the chain.

We had team members stay here. Decent rate, but the hotel scammed them out of their free breakfast and charged the rooms. Employees thought they had fixed the problem on check-out (reversed the charges) but 5 days after they left the hotel charged the credit card again. 3 weeks later no resolution. Also no ability to control the temperature in rooms — you must call maintenance to adjust. The recall them the next day. And the next day.

Customer service is very good. Their lounge is updated and the food is great. I recommend staying here during the fall and winter because their rooms do NOT have A/C which trumps every feature they can offer. A room at 24 degrees and outside temp at 21 degrees doesn't help your sleep at all. Also, washrooms without a fan does not help either. Worst part about this trip on their web site they brag about the A/C rooms, false advertisement misleading information has taken my business for now on to a different hotel next time I visit Edmonton, I should of booked the Marriott courtyard.

I have to say that I felt pampered… very professional.
