Room 202 was filthy. There was a carpet buckled that ran the length of the room that posed a significant tripping hazard. It appeared there had been a flood and the carpet lifted creating a giant wave or ripple. The carpet was stained and looked filthy. The bathroom cabinet faces and door had fingerprint smears of an unknown substance. There appeared to be a booger of some sort on the bathroom door. The Wi-Fi was down, the hairdryer was broken. The face of the phone appeared very dirty. We were given an email address for our concerns and staff did not even view the room to verify the concerns. The staff spoke to each other in a different language while "taking" our concerns. No notes were made and we had a feeling, like too bad… don't care. Pictures and videos were taken to verify the condition of the room. I have never written a review before but the condition of this room was terrible. The manager gives a " sorry for experience please come again response" in other reviews… why would anyone want to re-live this experience? Give your staff some authority to check rooms and if the concerns are valid, actually do something about it. A hollow sorry with no action means less than nothing. Never Ever Again.

This hotel is a pretty nice hotel in general. The staff are very polite and hard-working! You can tell that they are short staffed because they do not have anyone to bring up extra linens to the room. But I didn’t have any problems heading down to grab them from the front desk! If you are looking for a quieter stay, definitely get a room on the fourth floor! The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool and water slide! The temperature of the pool is lukewarm which is awesome! The hot tub is at the perfect temperature. We stayed for three nights during the hottest period of the summer! The hallways were frigidly cold however! Although you set your room thermostat to a lower temperature in hopes to return to a cold room, there is a motion sensor that will turn off the air conditioner when you are not in the room. That is an aspect of the hotel that I did not appreciate! I also did not appreciate that they do not stock towels in the swimming area! In order to get the towels, you must request them at the front desk! There was no signage to indicate this! We were all soaking wet looking for towels when someone mentioned that you had to go to the front desk to get them. So dripping wet, I made my way to the front desk to ask for towels. Of course the hallways and common areas were frigidly cold because of the air conditioner! At least they can do is put signage up at the door before you head in! Overall, it was a good stay.

I took the my kids to Edmonton for school shopping, and wanted to treat them to a pool/water slide an a hot tub. Unfortunately we were also treated to bleached swim suits. my royal blue suit is now baby blue, my daughter’s was black, now grey my son’s was navy blue where it is now brown. When I went to speak to the manager, really to say “hey I think you need to check your water” and maybe free breakfast I was met with “there is no way our pool did that” “did you put your clothes on the ground/ did you sit on the ground” “our maintenance staff made a mistake and clean the pool deck with bleach but would not have gotten in the water” and “no one else complained so there is no way this was true” Honestly I was dumbfounded to be responded to that way that I left. I was no way wanting to be confrontational but to be told essentially lying I was taken by surprise.

I booked a jacuzzi room for 2 nights for my anniversary. When my wife and I got in the room it was freezing, so we noticed that the A/C was on and we turned the heat on. I told the front deck people about the problem and they said they could change us to a regular, But I told them that I had booked the jacuzzi room for our anniversary, and that if I couldn't use the jacuzzi then there wasn't much use in staying at the hotel. One of the lady's from the front desk went up and checked the room and notice that the room was cold but we had the heat on now and asked us to stay for a bit and see if the room would warm up, and if it didn't warm up then we could check out. We said we would try it and hope that it warmed up, we ordered food and waited for heat, but after 3 hours of waiting and trying to stay warm in a 200.00/night room I decided that it was enough and checked out. When we checked out that lady on the desk billed me for both nights and when I asked her why, she told me it was a mistake and that I would have to take with the manager for a refund. I was told he would be in on monday morning. We had to go to a different hotel for the weekend, and when I went back to talk to the manager on monday I was told that I didn't need to come to the hotel that the manager was aware of what was going on and that they would call me. So today when I didn't hear from the manager I called the hotel and was told that the manager was busy.

We got charged $400 for something we DID NOT DO.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights while we had to assess & deliver our baby for medical reasons 5 hours away from home. After we checked out and were in hospital we received an email stating they charged a smoking fee with their “evidence” of an old cigarette butt and an empty “Nova cannabis” bag that we used to carry snacks lol. Oh and mini eggs that got sat on and supposedly looked like smoke stains.
clearly taking unfair advantage of their guests during this difficult economic time. But thanks Best Western! For wrongfully accusing guests that only ever use best western. And for making my delivery day that much less stressful by adding these charges to my card! You rock! Hopefully the hospital doesn’t catch us smoking in our private room!

Great hotel kids had an amazing time in pool breakfast was good and staff was really helpful I will stay again for sure plus there banquet room is great.

We stayed for 3 nights, we had a bit of a hassle getting our 3 nights but that was on our end, not the hotel, they were very helpful! In particular Aqila at the front desk was amazing with all the help she gave us going above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! Everytime we would come back from the hotel after being out for the day she would give us a warm welcome and ask us how our stay has been. Thank you for everything!

Always a great experience at BW. Just spent another night at this specific one and everything was amazing. Friendly staff, kids and us as adults had a blast at the pool, the slide is very fun even for the adults. Very clean and extremely comfy beds. Better sleep than at home. Breakfast was included and variety of food was great for a hotel. Will always stay at BW.

I never stayed at this hotel until July for a course I was taking. I had such a great night that I re booked when I came back in August for another course. The place was clean, quiet and easy to get to. Breakfast had a great variety of things to eat. Will stay there again. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfy and the room was clean, neat and tidy. Karen.

The overall hotel was clean and tidy. Front desk staff was very welcoming but couldnt make a decision without a manager present. I was staying here for a work trip for 5 days. The suite I was first placed in was lovely and comfortable. However, there was a family right above me with a young child that was keeping me up very late each night, and getting me up before my alarm each morning. I had phoned the front desk 3 nights in a row asking them to politely notify the above neighbors of the noise they were creating for me — stomping, running, bouncing balls, (the photos on the walls in my room were even rattling). I received a phone call one evening from front desk notifying me that the family was staying here as long as I was, and that they felt awful for the noise I was dealing with. I was promptly upgraded free o charge, to a bigger, more comfortable jacuzzi suite room, without any loud neighbors around. I'm blown away by the customer service that the staff provided me. The housekeepers left my room spotless each day when I came home from work, and the complimentary breakfast is fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel, and will stay here again!

I found the staff very pleasant and friendly during our 2 night stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. I thought there was a great selection of Breakfast choices, both hot and cold. We enjoyed the slide at the pool with our 4 year old grandson immensely. I would choose this Hotel again.

Hotel needs a freshen up and new beds. Overall ok but not my favourite best Western. I have stayed in much nicer ones. Breakfast is good. Front desk is very helpful. The housekeeping staff let themselves in at 8am not even a knock. This was very unprofessional. Overall a 3.5

I initially gave the hotel a 3 on trip advisor because it was truly just ok. Nothing great but nothing bad except the carpet in our room were never vacuumed and we had to call down to the front desk to get a vacuum to clean ourself just after arriving back to the room from being gone all day. Was a little taken back that they didn’t even offer to vacuum but only delivered the vacuum and left. Which is why I said in my original review they seemed very under staffed.
Now after… 2 weeks I am a bit more frustrated.
2 hours after checking out we realized my 3 year olds sons small security blanket was left in the room. I called and they sent someone to the room but did not find anything. (Took all my info and said they will call me if it shows up). 3 days passes with no call back, so I call back to see if it showed up. Sure enough they have it (they Didn’t call me but who cares they have it).
I go through the whole process of giving them my room number, check out date, my home address again, Which is no problem at all because they have the blanket. Only want son’s blanky back. Seems simple.
Lady was nice and said we will have it sent out tomorrow.
Problem solved, right? 13 days later with no correspondence whatsoever, I call back and explained the situation again and ask if they sent the blanky

Came to stay for one night. Noticed it was a bit busy due to the pool an kids around. However I just wanted the 1 night stay. My room was fairly clean however the bathroom could have been better. We didn't have all our towels and bathroom amenities. It was like the bathroom never got clean. I will not be staying there again.

Good clean hotel, good location, excellent beds and pillows, nice staff. Some issues: couldn't keep towels stocked in both the pool area and the room. Shower curtain not long enough so the floor got soaked constantly. Breakfast room was usually full (not enough seating). We were "politely warned" about our kids not making noise (not very polite when we hadn't even checked in yet), however, other children were running up and down the halls and the staff did not stop it.

Overall, terrible experience. My mother in law flew in from Ontario for my daughters birthday. She made a reservation in January, and triple checked so that we could have adjoining rooms for our family. Upon arrival, we were told that one of our adjoining rooms had been given away the day previous when someone checked in early. There are a lot of hotels in the area and we would have gone somewhere else had we known that they opt to make more money by giving someone else the room. They gave us $10 off and an invitation to join their rewards program. Went to the pool after supper, and an entire unsupervised soccer team of ten year old boys were going nuts in the pool area, to the point where my 5 and 7 year old were plugging their ears. My wife complained to the front desk. The front desk came to ask them to be quiet, and share the space, which being 10 year old boys, they didn’t listen. The front desk staff then said, “What can I do? ”. My wife walked down to the conference rooms and had to ask the parents to come supervise their children, which they eventually did. Definitely should not be our job. I understand that these teams bring in a lot of money, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of other guests experience. Especially the Pool policy states no children under 14 years old unsupervised.

Very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pillows were awesome, and made for an extremely restful sleep. Breakfast doesn't have gluten free options for breads or muffins, which would be nice, but I just ate alot of eggs and fruit.

The room was not fully clean. Toilet lid was dirty. Smartee on floor not vacuumed. Huge red spill on floor. Room smelt bad. Bed comforter was nasty. Pool water was freezing so everyone hung out in hot tub that first night was not working and not to its full potential with all those people in it. Also was a very noisy hotel.

Room was nice, bed was very comfy. Had a Denny's just around the corner but the free breakfast was delicious. Hot tub was out of order but the pool was warm. No on-demand movies meant I had to watch cable on the already blurry and small tv. It's a nice place to stay if you are passing through town and if the hot tub was operational it'd be a 4 star review.

This was such a great hotel! We were able to get a better price than any other hotel on a big family room that could sleep 6 people, through Expedia. Ca. The service was amazing, the room was great, and clean. The breakfast was so good, and the breakfast service was really good. There were some really great healthy items for breakfast, instead of just sugary white flour items, there were nice whole grain breads and bagels, and lots of delicious egg options. We had a great experience.

Decent location. Kind of an annoying area to get in and out of to hit the highways. Not horrible, but not the shortest route either to hit highways. Great staff, good breakfast which is included which was a huge plus. We used this hotel to go to the West Edmonton mall each day. Drive wasn't to bad each day.

Friendly and helpful front desk, Thank you ladies for the info around Edmonton. The room was clean and the beds are comfy. My kids like it that they have lots of pillows :) The breakfast is superb! Lots of choices of hot and cold. My son AJ loves the bacon and the hot chocolate. I love the selection of fruits and dairy. We checked in early and checked out late, my kids and my friend's kids enjoyed the slide pool. Great stay!

Courteous staff, love the breakfast! The room ontheground floor was spacious, but could use more soundproofing as it resonates with children running, stomping from the top floor, even conversations from the next room.
The hot tub had rusty areas on the tiles and the handle bars were shaky… but I still love BW.

Even though the hot tub was out of order, the pool was extremely warm. My kids had a great time. Our bigger suite was a great touch as we had a few extra people visit us after our party. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. The free breakfast was satisfying.

This hotel is perfectly situated, close to the city AND to the airport. There are a bunch of nice restaurant all around. The continental breakfast are good (standard stuff). My current room is comfy, but the pillows oar showing some age…

The hotel was nice and clean. Room and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was polite and fast. No complaints other than the housekeeping I guess. We stayed two nights. The morning after the first night we were awakened by a housekeeper walking in out room while we were still in bed so that sucked. She was shocked and took off quickly apparently having no clue who was in what room. While we were gone that day we came back for our second night stay to discover they tidied up our room which was nice but on the next morning we discovered they had taken the dirty towels but not replaced them. So we had one towel. Just one towel, no hand towels, no face cloths and no bathmat now. I called the front desk and quickly we were brought a couple towels and a bathmat. But really the housekeeping staff seems pretty disorganized.

Hotel is very on the outside. And the lobby is beautiful. Breakfast is the average hot breakfast done at a hotel. We have stayed here a few times in the last two months. But this visit was only ok. The room was not bad on cleanliness. But our deadbolt on our door was broken. Reported it on our first night when we checked in but did not seem to be a worry.

We were extremely satisfied. The motel and rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with many items to choose from. We had a great sleep and slept in which we normally don't do. I would highly recommend this Motel to anyone staying in South Edmonton. We'll definitely be back and were here once before.

This Best Western is great for families having fun in the pool area. Breakfast was good lots of selection. The location is very close to Hwy 2 and therefore quite noisy. Earplugs are a must!

Very clean and comfortable hotel with lots of free parking. Staff at the reception were friendly and checked us in after a long travel early which help our kids immensely. Room was very clean and felt fresh with comfortable bed. Breakfast was very fresh when we attended at various times during the opening period. Overall well worth the money and I will certainly stay there again.

Great Hotel if you are from out of town or flying into Edmonton for work or pleasure. The location is perfect. Great Staff, and great rooms. If you travel a lot the rooms are adequate and will meet or exceed your needs. Parking can be a challenge at times depending on when you arrive, however, there is ample parking just not always close to the main entrance. Great breakfast especially if you are like me and have to be 'gluten-free'. Highly recommend this location.

Fitness center is mediocre at best. Pool is nice, hot tub out of service. Breakfast was actually quite good. Rooms nice and clean. Staff friendly.

I like the location and the staff are good. Excellent breakfast and pool area. The gym leaves a lot to be desired. Just don't use the dryer. They keep getting maintenance to repair it but three times in the last two weeks it wouldn't work for me. So I m left to go out to a laundromat.

Was alright I guess… the room was good and clean but Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent and the breakfast was lacking.

Rooms were nice, not huge but met our needs and mostly quiet. The only noise challenges came from classic hotel doors that always seem to slam shut no matter what you do and people at the hotel across the parking lot having the bass in their cars too loud. The kids loved the swimming pool and waterslide, but found the pool cold so couldn't be in it for long The breakfast bar is adequate offering cold and hot choices, but we found the coffee pretty much undrinkable. The location was good for us in that it was right on the South edge of the city with easy access to Edmonton's major roads. All in all, we would stay here again.

Rooms are modern and clean. Front desk staff are polite and accommodating. Gym facility is nice but it's a shame the hot tub is in the pool area, hotel was serving a soccer tournament and the pool was full of screaming teens until it closed at 10pm. Hot tub in gym with age restrictions is better for adults trying to relax.

Been staying here for 5+ years when we go to Edmonton. I'm yet to have a bad experience. Staff is always super nice, rooms are always clean and comfortable. No complaints at all.

Just checked out and wrongly accused of smoking when room 416 clearly has a sewer problem they took most of deposit for nothing very rude manager we don't drink or smoke and there is nothing head office can do about out complaint they just robbed us.

The worst hotel I've come across yet, by far. So disorganized, rooms are not properly cleaned and sanitized, staff are very ignorant & the hotel manager is the worst I've ever seen… what a joke. Save yourselves the trouble people and stay away from here.

Upon leaving they checked the room and marched back to the front desk and asked us what we did to the towel! What happen was my senior shakey mother spilt a half cup of coffee and being as there are no paper towel in the room, we used a hand towel to wipe the mess up. Not a big deal right? WRONG! They then tried to charge us for the towel and a face cloth with make up on it. Should we have just left the coffee to dry a sticky mess? And not washed our face? It was embarrassing and down right ridiculous. Shame on the Owner to whom I spoke with.

Great Hotel very spacious room (1 bed) very new and modern. Equipped with microwave and Fridge. Nice and quiet area HIGHLY recommend. Water slides for people with kids. Very much enjoyed our stay.

My workplace booked this hotel for me to stay for two weeks and I absolutely love that. The employees are caring, the rooms are cozy, and the food it great. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking to stay in Edmonton.

Really nice place, clean, so friendly and fairly quiet. The hotel is full and we don't really hear the other guests. Good breakfast too.
