Moxy Banff

We had a wonderful stay at the Moxie Hotel in Banff while skiing in the area with our son. From the moment we arrived, the staff were excellent — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.
The hotel is new, very clean, and has an awesome vibe that somehow works perfectly for both adults and kids at the same time. There’s no shortage of things to do: checkers, a hockey table, mini shuffleboard, video games, a Mac computer station, and plenty of fun spaces to hang out. It really made downtime after skiing just as enjoyable as being on the slopes.
The amenities are fantastic — a well-equipped gym, laundry facilities, and even a media room you can rent for small groups. There’s also a food truck with solid eats and a market area stocked with just about any sundries you might need. The bar deserves a special mention: fair prices, great atmosphere, and cool, attentive staff who made it a fun place to unwind.
Our room was thoughtfully configured for a small family. We were three and had plenty of space, and it easily could have accommodated four thanks to the bunk setup. It was comfortable, efficient, and very well designed.
Overall, this place strikes a rare balance: modern, clean, energetic, and family-friendly without feeling overly kid-focused. We’d absolutely stay again on our next ski trip.
We stayed at a Moxy in Dublin in the past and were not impressed, this Moxy is different in the best way possible. Also has a hot-tub and pool, for an apres delight.

I just wrapped up an incredible stay at the Moxy Banff and I’m already planning my return trip! This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way.
The rooms are beautifully designed — modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. But what truly sets this place apart is the phenomenal staff and unbeatable location for skiers.
I have to give a special shoutout to Cami, who went above and beyond to make my Banff skiing experience unforgettable. She took the time to sit down with me and break down each of the Big 3 resorts, recommended which mountains to hit based on the conditions and my skill level. Her knowledge of the Banff scene is encyclopedic! Cami didn’t just point me in the right direction — she made sure I had everything I needed to make the most of my time in Banff. I honestly can’t thank her enough!
Speaking of skiing — the location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is steps from the shuttle to Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Mt. Norquay. You literally walk out the door and you’re on your way to world-class skiing. The convenience factor alone makes this hotel worth it.

Just stayed at the Moxy last weekend and had the best time! The staff was unreal, the bar and amenities are wonderful, and the vibe of the place was laid back and very easy going. We ended up booking the karaoke room and had a blast in there! The setup was wicked! Can't wait to go back and play live music for an evening there! Kudos to everyone at the Moxy for keeping us well watered and having fun!

Stayed at the Moxy Hotel in Banff with my partner and had a great experience. The hotel has a fun, stylish vibe that really stands out. The rooms were excellent, with unique and quirky design elements that made the stay feel special. Karl, who checked us in, was fantastic — very pleasant, personable, and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

We stayed here recently for a family vacation. While being a Marriott property, it has it's own vibe to it and the family really enjoyed the lobby experience with the retro look and games (old school arcade games and table hockey). The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating!
The only constructive feedback I have is to add a safe to the room so things like Passports can be left securely when going out. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!

Spent a weekend at the hotel. Just an incredibly cool place. The bar and lounge area is the heart of the hotel. Lots of comfortable seating… cool music… great atmosphere. You actually check-in AT the bar and get a free cocktail on arrival! They even have an old VW bus that has been converted into a food truck… In the lobby!
The rooms were excellent. Very well appointed. And the outdoor lounge/pool area was very cool as well with lots of seating and two rectangular pools that become hot tubs in the winter.
I will certainly stay here again. And would really recommend it for anyone who doesn’t want a generic, run-of-the-mill, hotel experience, but who wants something more unique and special.

10/10 hotel.
It’s a bit of a walk from the downtown area (20min) but there’s a bus station right in front which makes everything a lot easier.
Moxies rooms have their sink outside of the bathroom, which makes it very convenient when you stay with others (especially for women ig! )
The rooms I stayed in had two queen beds and the layout was something I’d never seen before. But it was THE BEST layout for a girls trip.
One thing about the heated pool is that it didn’t feel so hot enough. They are set to 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, which I hoped it would be just a little more hotter than that. But overall great.
Completely sound proof.

We stayed 3 nights at the Moxy during Skijor!
KARL who works at the check in/bar was amazing! He is the perfect employee for meeting and greeting guests. He was patient and extremely helpful by answering all of my questions regarding the shuttle bus to ski at Lake Louise (pick up which is right next door to hotel) and helping me organize our transfer to the Calgary airport. The Moxy location was great. We walked everywhere. Highly recommend a stay at the Moxy. It has a very friendly, cool vibe!

Family holiday with dogs. Loved the rooms, decor, pool and lobby areas. Original. Welcoming. Curious. Tweens loved it. Housekeeping staff were great. I wanted to enjoy the food and beverage experiences but was left underwhelmed — namely because the front of house staff were flat and non-engaging.

We had such an awesome stay at the Moxy Banff. The hotel has a great vibe—fun, cozy, and modern—and the rooms were super clean and comfortable. It’s the perfect place to crash after a day exploring Banff.
Big shoutout to Rhys, the bartender, who seriously made our stay even better. He was so friendly, welcoming, and made amazing drinks every time we stopped by. His energy and hospitality really stood out and made the bar such a fun place to hang out.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It is quirky and fun and really embodied ski retro vibes throughout. It is a great combo of vibey in the public spaces (bar, hot tub) and quiet in the rooms. While it is on the outskirts of town, it was super convenient for the ski buses and the free bus passes into town made it very easy to go int the centre. Would come back!

This was our first time staying at Moxy and we loved everything about it! From the moment we checked in it was outstanding. We don’t remember the name of the gentleman working the front desk but he was the best! Super friendly and helpful and just very good at his job. (He was working when we checked in on January 8 at 4:00pm if that narrows down who it was ☺️)
We loved the retro vibe of the hotel and just the welcoming, fun lobby bar and seating. The room was also very cleverly laid out and super clean.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had an absolutely wonderful family stay at the Moxy Banff! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, ready to check us in, and even offered upgrades since they were available. We were greeted with a token each for a welcome drink, which immediately set the tone for a fun and relaxed stay.
A special shoutout to our bartender, Rhys, who truly went above and beyond. He memorized everyone’s orders, curated a special mocktail just for me since I’m pregnant, and offered fantastic suggestions for our Banff trip. One of his recommendations was Johnston Canyon, which we visited and absolutely loved!
The rooms were phenomenal; spotless, well-equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The lobby and bar area were the real star of the show. It perfectly blended modern and retro vibes and felt like a warm, inviting space to gather and hang out. We loved the games available (foosball hockey, Jenga, Connect 4, etc), and the outdoor spa and heated pool were the perfect way to relax after a day in Banff.
Anyone looking to stay in Banff, I highly recommend the Moxy Banff. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious and very clean, with a beautiful mountain view. I especially appreciated the in-room coffee machine and the quality of the coffee.
The staff was friendly and professional, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. I booked the room through Trip. Com, with breakfast included, and the breakfast exceeded my expectations — fresh, well organized, and very enjoyable.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The only small downside was the welcome cocktail, which was not particularly impressed, but it did not affect the overall positive impression. I would gladly stay here again.

After an absolute whirlwind of travel delays getting to Banff, the team at the Banff Moxy went above and beyond for my family in a way that completely made up for it—in spades. From the moment we arrived, their service was unwavering, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. It felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being taken care of by people who truly love what they do.
The cocktails and food are outstanding (don’t skip either), and the vibe is fun, warm, and welcoming. A special shoutout to Rhys, who makes phenomenal cocktails—especially after perfecting an espresso martini with a twist of lemon (a little collaboration we’ll never forget 🍸).
The staff across the board were incredible, the location is close to everything, and it was the perfect home base for skiing the Big 3—we had the absolute best time on and off the slopes.
We’ve loved everything about this trip, and Banff Moxy played a huge role in making it unforgettable. We will 100% be back and recommend it without hesitation.

We love the Moxy and always have the best experience there. Everyone is welcome, the staff make this space feel safe for all and the environment is so fun. Lawrence is so accommodatimg and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time there. He even found and kept safe my earring that I lost. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our babymoon trip was amazing in this hotel. It was our first time and it didn’t disappoint — we love the location, the amenities and service is excellent! we would like to thank the crew Chloe, Carl, Julius, Sokritee and the Korean long-hair guy (we forgot to ask his name) who made our welcome drinks in the evening shift, they were really helpful during our stay!
