Great location and good service. Value for money was excellent — the only downside really were the trains that started early in the morning. My friend was also sick and I requested some more towels and water and had to ring again to follow up. They arrived promptly after the second phone call. Having said that, I would definitely stay at Hotel Jen again.

The room was really spacious, clean, with all the facilities I required. The chamber maid was very pleasant and is proactive in making sure that my stay is comfortable. The staff at the main reception were very pleasant, and also managed to help me get an early check in as I arrived very early. The only caveat is that my room was facing the train tracks of Roma street station, so whenever there are trains, the windows in the room would vibrate. Apart from that, it was a comfortable stay.

We thought the hotel was very good — the staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very clean. Because our room backed onto the lift wells we could hear them swishing up and down all the time, as well as the trains. Its easy to get to places in Brisbane with both the trains and buses so close. The $20 Buffet breakfast was very well priced and tasty too.

Large room, clean and tidy. Bathroom needs updating, removal of bath and install showers only would be more attractive and safer. Plus bathroom had mouldy grout lines around bath and hand basin. Unattractive although the bathroom was clean. (room 1314). Staff attention to detail such as shower curtain off one of it's rings as was the heavy blackout curtain. I should not have to be the one to reattach. Couldn't quite work out airconditioning so was a bit hot. A cotton blanket would have been advantageous. But overall good hotel.

Very centrally located with public transport at the doorstep. Extremely professional and friendly staff, from reception to cleaners. On arrival I was upgraded to a larger room, free of charge. There was a thorough cleaning of my room daily despite as extensive a do-over not being needed. Excellent breakfast, including a fresh juicer for self made fruit juices. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The room was lovely. The staff at the Nest, fantastic. But the food that was provided for the conference was a lot of unhealthy pastries, packaged pies and sausage rolls and chips. It would have made a huge difference to have had more healthy options which would have helped us to concentrate during the long hours of the conference. The staff were fantastic, helpful and professional. Breakfast was exceptional — such a great range of delicious options, including making your own fresh juice, a huge fruit bar and a great array of cooked options. Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Jen.

Genuinely love this place. Upon arrival and checking in — the staff was amazing, helpful and very welcoming. My room was clean and orderly, everything was in perfect working condition. (Air-con, fridge. Etc) One thing that has stuck with me is the vibes this place gives off (fresh & vibrant) which is why I find myself returning here every so often. Price-wise, it's what you'd find similar to other apartments within the city. Haven't had any bad experiences with this place whatsoever. Thank-you for my stays!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Jen. My one small criticism of the hotel would be that the shower/bath had some visible mould building up in the grout around the bath edge. The parking was also quite expensive at $36 per day, I'm not sure if that is by arrangement or actually owned by Hotel Jen. The restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed an afternoon drink and the buffet breakfast. Staff were lovely. Hotel Jen is in a fantastic location!

My favorite and only place we stay at in Brisbane. It is close to Queen St mall, 6 minute scoot in my electric wheelchair. The rates are great and the parking is safe and secure. The food is beautiful especially the Pad Thai and the club sandwich which both are to die for. The staff are awesome and always happy to help. I highly recommend Hotel Jen, you will never want to stay anywhere else again!

I have stayed at Hotel Jen on numerous occasions where I have always had a good stay. Minus a couple of times they have stuffed up the pay and charged twice etc. But overall was satisfied with this hotel. However, last night my boyfriend and I were trying to book a room online that was for $125 (the time was after midnight so only from then until check out at 11) but my phone wasn’t working properly and wouldn’t load correctly. I showed this to the guy on reception and asked if we could still book it anyway and he said only if we were to pay $179! For a 10 and a bit hour stay? We went and stayed at Ibis Styles instead where they gladly honoured the online price.

We were impressed by all aspects of our brief visit. Due to time restraints we used room service for dinner and breakfast. The service was prompt and friendly. For dinner the chosen menu (fish) was unavailable but the substitute was nice. The quantity of breakfast supplied was far too much but of very good quality.

Very clean and convenient place to stay. Staff were lovely. My only minor point would be the fan in the bathroom seems to go most of the time and is quite load. Would also be nice if the cut fruit was part of the continental breakfast.

I would say the best part of this hotel is the breakfast. I have never had a breakfast that was included that was so big and high quality. They had everything you would expect with extras such as a fresh juicing station, real honey straight from the honeycomb. Location is good, right beside a train station. There is a great park not too far as well.

When I made my initial booking, I indicated that I would be arriving before the 1pm usual check-in time. When I checked-in my room was ready to go, it was clean, modern and great view of the Parklands. The hotel is next door to the train station so it's super easy to get around and it is close to all main city sites. The gym facilities were nice, varied, and spacious; would have liked it better if they had a pool. The breakfast selection was also quite nice, lots of options and they even encourage you to pack a few snacks/fruit for later which I really appreciated. I stayed over the Easter Long Weekend and they gave each room a chocolate Easter Bunny which I thought was unique and a nice touch.

Location — 10/10. Check-in was quick. Elevators arrived quickly. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and affordable. Room was large and comfortable. Only downside, cost of parking.

Hotel Jen in a great place to stay. Lovely clean room, good bed (very important), great staff service. Location is great also. Hotel attached to Roma Street transit centre and is in the heart of Brisbane. It is a good central base to use when planning activities in the city. I was a lone traveller and enjoyed my stay immensely.

Super helpful staff. We lost a cell phone and Kate, at the front desk, was able to track it down and personally deliver it back to us. Now that's great customer service. Aside from that, the room is very spacious, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. It's clean! And the price is very fair. No complaints here.

The Hotel has a great location, great staff, check in quick and easy as was check out. The housekeeping staff excellent, helpful, bright, friendly, attentive and possibly one of the high lights of our stay. Breakfast crew were great too. Bar staff seemed preoccupied, and on the phone alot. Biggest problem Hotel Jen is so cold, like a mortuary, our first room we couldn't get the temperature above 19, the A/C would not switch off room 1407 we were moved to room 1307, we managed to switch the A/C off and got the temperature up to 23 over several days. Coming from a Tropical Climate where we have 30 to 34 year around we were shocked by the cold, seriously something needs to be done to correct this,

My fourth and fifth visits to the Hotel Jen last week were seamless. Your staff are professional, highly trained, efficient and friendly. I cannot fault your beautifully appointed accommodation and cleanliness, nor the service provided to make my stays enjoyable. Congratulations on a very well run hotel to which I will return.

Spacious room, clean, quiet and near pedestrian zone.

Check in/ check out was handled well. Room was well appointed, comfortable and well provided for. However, breakfast next morning was not as good. Paid $29.50ea for hot full breakfast. Bacon was that tough it was hard to cut — scrambled eggs tasted like they had powder or sawdust in them and very watery. Wanted to have a second cup of coffee, but no pot on the servery, and no sign of the breakfast reception team member to request a second cup.

Reasonably priced executive suites compared to Shangri La Sydney however it does lack the trimmings and pool. Room was spacious and clean and had all room facilities. Air con worked well, view was great, staff were polite and efficient but check-in was slow with only one on the desk and a queue. Location was good. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a stay in the city and would definitely stay again.

A fantastic hotel close to trains and buses, and within walking distance to lots of interesting shops and restaurants. An old hotel with big rooms that have been renovated well and views of the Brisbane river or Roma St Parklands. The staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about tips for where to go and what to do. You will be recommending it to your friends and family and coming back again once you have stayed. Make sure you try the breakfast buffet, there is a frame of honeycomb from the hotels own beehives on the roof…

Everything about our stay at Hotel Jen was perfect and I would certainly stay again and recommend to others. Check in was easy, the customer service was excellent and the room and location ten out of ten. Great value for money! I appreciated the late check out so much and the fact that it was no bother at all to keep our bags for us for the afternoon until our flight out. This was a really positive hotel experience so thank you.

Very nice hotel amazing location. Only downside is no pool and gym isn't accessible for all as it can only be accessed by stairs.

Staff were very polite and welcoming, reception, housekeeping and restaurant. Location very convenient, 5 minute walk to heart of city centre. Internet speeds was pleasantly surprising with fast speeds. Facilities were very good. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. I would recommend. Would stay again.

Used this hotel because it was close to Suncorp Stadium and the train station. It was an easy 15min walk to the Stadium and right next door to the station. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, what a great hotel, super comfy bed and good size shower with great pressure, room service burger was more than ok and the buffet breakfast was really good. The rooms are a good size, with free pod coffee and free bottle water. The staff were all really pleasent, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Convenient if traveling bus bus or train as is close to brisbane transit station. Clean and comfortable. Just watch the bookings as I thought b'fast was included but not unless you are a golden circle member.

Very spacious, comfortably furnished rooms. My favourite part was the free water bottles and little espresso machine with milk capsules in the fridge! Free Wi-Fi with absolutely no hassle was such a luxury after staying in Sydney where you've practically got to pay for toilet paper.

Lovely rooms and nice staff. Great breakfast and bar area. Great location close to nice restaurants. Only a short walk to the river. Beautiful lanterns in garden.

A pleasant surprise. Sharp service from the reception, amazing room and balanced decor for a lower end budget business hotel. I love the buffet which we prepaid. Great value. (the juice bar was a great touch) Will be back and my choice of hotel for business and leisure.

Lovely hotel in a good location, close to the railway station which is handy if you are coming to Brisbane via a train but it's not so great if your rooms on the northern side. The rooms are quite nice, the beds are so comfy (currently laying in one, its lunchtime) and the bathrooms are large and modern. Not much thought has gone into the lighting in the rooms though, some nice lamps wouldn't hurt. The staff that I have seen were lovely, happy and super helpful. Parking here is very easy aswell. Overall, really happy with my stay.

Adequate accomodation, very easy to get around given its location.

Location is close to Roma st station, but a distance to Queen street mall. Room is not too big, not too small, but seems to have skimped on furniture and design being a little awkward. Lighting in room is way too soft, so it is a little hard to read. In room coffee machine isn't a bad idea, it is also good to see an empty bar fridge. Amenities; Hotel restaurant is not too bad, Gym is currently being upgraded but is terrible at present, the machines are old and the rooms air-con doesn't seem to work.

Very nice room. So convenient to Roma St station. Helpful staff except for the bar staff who were "not allowed" to honour our free wine-soft-drink-beer voucher for 2 people with a single small bottle of water instead. They wanted $4.00 for the water.

I've seen the amazing things they have done in Singapore and can only imagine what the experience will be in Brisbane. Positively.
