Expocore Hotel

Beware! The worst hotel in Yerevan that you can book through booking. Com. There are so many things wrong with this hotel, I can write a book about it, but I’ll just list few main things.
1. Service. People who work at this hotel including the so called General Manager Samvel is the most incompetent and clueless person I’ve ever met in my life. No one has any idea how to deal with booking systems, no one takes responsibility for their actions, no one is there to sort a situation that THEY have caused. After traveling for over 24 hours we were told that “our booking doesn’t exist”, even though we have called and messaged them to confirm our reservation and one of the receptionist said that “he remembers our name from booking”.
2. Lies about the hotel facilities. On their website there was an information about pool and gym at the hotel. When we asked the receptionist about that he simply said “I don’t have a clue. I don’t think there is a pool or gym”. Hilarious…
3. Rooms. The hotel is only 1.5 years old and it looks like it has seen better days. Hotel inside at the reception area looks ok, but rooms start to get old and tired from neglect and lack of cleaning.
4. For a group of 3 people they only give you 1 key. When you ask for more keys they say “oh, but your other key will stop working”. Never seen anything like this before in my life.
All in all, I suppose they “buy” all their positive reviews, because I haven’t seen anything even remotely good about this hotel.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!
I had the best day ever at this hotel! The staff were truly wonderful — especially Samuel from the reception, who was one of the kindest people we’ve met in Armenia. The hotel was spotless, beautifully chic, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt like valued guests. Everyone was so helpful, and the attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I stayed at this hotel for 21 days, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. For four days, my room wasn’t cleaned, and I didn’t receive any housekeeping services—even after contacting the front desk multiple times. It took several follow-ups before someone was finally sent to clean the room.
Also, the faucet in the bathroom was clogged. I reported it and even shared a video, but I was told that the plumbing is like this throughout the hotel, which didn’t solve the issue. I’m including the video here on Google so others can see for themselves.

Terrible experience! Appalling cleaning service. I had paid extra for a superior room for extra comfort but it was anything but comfortable! There was no body wash and I immediately informed reception. After 2 days, there was still no action taken and no body wash. I had requested cleaning on day 2 of my stay and said we had no toilet paper but room wasn’t cleaned despite asking for it several times and I had to walk to the cleaner and personally ask for toilet paper. It was never delivered to my room. On day 3 of my stay, by 7pm my room was still not cleaned. I talked to reception and the lady said your room would be cleaned on Monday, that would be day 4 of my stay. I spoke to the manager and complained. He apologised and said they had staff shortage and he ensured my room was cleaned within 2 hours of my complaint. He gave us complimentary fruit platter and a glass of wine which we appreciated. Breakfast was average. It was not worth the money we paid and we certainly didn’t receive a good service. Extra stress for extra money we paid.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is clean, and the breakfast was satisfying, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and helpful, especially David and Annahit, who went out of their way to assist me. I encountered a minor issue during my stay, but the kindness and professionalism of the team made all the difference. Special thanks to the manager, Vagan, whose support went above and beyond. I genuinely appreciated their efforts and will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Armenia. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant bar inside the Expocore Hotel was disappointing. The bartender responsible for taking payment did not speak or understand English at all, which caused confusion. I ordered a local beer from the bar, but they brought me something completely different. I realized it was not what I asked for because it had a much stronger rise and taste than the one I wanted. Communication is important, especially in a hotel setting where international guests are common. I hope they improve this service in the future.

The location of the hotel is convenient, but there are some downsides. The rooms are quite small and feel cramped. Also, housekeeping tends to arrive late, which can be inconvenient when you need the room cleaned earlier. Overall, it was an average experience.
Stayed at this hotel recently, and while the location is decent and the surroundings are quiet, there were several things that made my stay less enjoyable.
First, the rooms are much smaller than expected. The space feels very tight and uncomfortable, especially if you’re staying for more than a night or two. It was hard to move around or even find enough space to open a suitcase comfortably.
Second, the housekeeping service was disappointing. Cleaning was often delayed — sometimes they wouldn’t show up until very late in the afternoon, even after requesting earlier service. This was frustrating, especially after a long day out when you return to find the room still not cleaned.
I believe the hotel has potential, but the lack of space and poor timing of basic services like cleaning really took away from the overall experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly. They addressed all our needs during our stay. Anahit, Sam, Arsen, Lucy, and Maria (I hope I am typing their names correctly) are all individuals I would have loved to meet outside of the hotel beyond our stay. That's how great they are. The entire hotel was also very clean and left nothing to be desired.

We had a smooth check-out with no complains from Expocore Hotel and they agreed on keeping our luggage there for a few hours before our flight. When we returned to collect our luggage, the staff accused us of damaging a face towel and demanded a huge amount of 5000 dram fine—something that was never mentioned earlier at check out.
It felt unfair and opportunistic especially since they verified and gave us smooth clearance during the check out and no mention of this was made. It was as if they were taking advantage of our helpless situation since we were rushing to catch our flight and our luggage was with them. This unpleasant experience spoiled a great trip to Armenia.

Pretty good hotel, very new and it seems unfinished. Poor service, not very polite employees, the hotel lobby looks empty, unwelcome and chaotic. Breakfast same time was okay, because of low amount of guests.

Certainly! It sounds like you had a great experience at the hotel. The newly renovated rooms, cleanliness, and quality of breakfast were impressive. Despite being 15 minutes away from the city center, it’s convenient to travel to different parts of the city using internet taxis. Plus, the hotel’s peaceful location makes it ideal for relaxation. Based on your recommendation, it’s definitely worth considering for a stay.

Good value of money for your stay. Helpful and accommodating. Clean and neat as well. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. And accessible place to the city center as well. I highly recommend.

We liked our nine nights stay, and it exceeded our expectations in terms of cleaness and quietness.

Nice hotel away from the city. Clean, modern. A little tired, but overall everything was within normal limits.

All liked it! Cleanliness at the highest level. Cleaning every day. For breakfast there are vegetables and fruits. Porridge can be prepared to order. The staff is friendly. I recommend! 11/10
