Elross Hotel

It was a very weird stay. The hotel by itself is kind of good, relatively spacious, we didn’t get any cockroach…if it worth by the money? I don’t know. The hotel is probably managed by a family (they barely speak English, but it’s fine) so we don’t have the font key door. You have to ring the bell each time you wanna come in. Also, the pool is inactive (you should ask first if it’s working), not a big deal, but there is a space outside close to the driers which has 2 chairs and a table. It’s clearly a place where the staff stays to smoke, because we sit there twice and as soon and we left, they went to the place like lions (I mean, the place is mine, get out). As soon as we arrived, we tried to pay (booking and other platforms don’t work there for online payment, keep it in mind) and the machine was not working. We tried contact less 2/3 times and physical card as well. Not working at all. The guy on the reception looked at us like it’s an issue with our cards. Later, we tried again and worked…. Funny.
Last but not least, we had booked a room with pool view and balcony, and because of an issue with the plumbing, they put us on the 1st night in a room without balcony on the 1st floor, and the door won’t close. In the end, they moved us to a room on the 3rd floor (no lift, keep in mind as well) and a balcony, but without any cover and front of the street.
Basically, I don’t recommended the hotel, there are better options for the same price or less!

The rooms may be a bit small, but the staff were extremely friendly and made you feel welcome.

We stayed at the Elross Hotel 13-15.10.2024 with friends. We were very pleased with the attitude. We lived on the third floor in room 8. In the morning and evening we sat on the cozy balcony and enjoyed the view of the mountains. We were pleased with the interesting interior in oriental style, a cozy courtyard with a swimming pool. Clean rooms. All hygiene products were in the rooms. I would like to note the good location of the hotel: everything is within walking distance: cafes, market, attractions, metro, shops. It takes 20-25 minutes to walk to the Republic Square. Artur is very hospitable and helpful, the owner of the hotel Artur spent all three days with us. He took us to the largest lake Sevan, showed us several monasteries, told the whole history. We had an excellent guide. We had no time to get bored. We were very pleased, we want to come back again.
