Arm Hostel

I stayed at Arm Hostel in Yerevan for 3 nights. The location is definitely a strong point — it’s close to the Opera House and within walking distance of many central attractions.
However, there are several issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The hostel is on the 5th floor with no elevator, which is not convenient with luggage.
I stayed in a 10-bed dorm. The bunk beds shake heavily even with very small movements, which makes it hard to rest properly. The room also has poor ventilation and sometimes smells unpleasant. Street noise is clearly audible even when the windows are closed, so it’s not a good option if you are sensitive to noise.
The price is around $8 per night, which may seem cheap, but for Yerevan it is not great value. There are cleaner and more comfortable options available at the same or even lower price.
The bathrooms are extremely small (about 1m × 1m). The shower door opens inward, making it even more difficult to use the space, and there is no place to hang clothes. Even for a slim person, showering is quite difficult.
The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, which is one of the few positive aspects. However, it is locked from 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Drinking water is not always available, but bottled water can be purchased at the reception during the night.
Regarding staff, they handle basic tasks, but are not particularly friendly. One staff member named Vardan was, in my experience, impolite and dismissive.

I stayed at Arm Hostel for 3 nights. The location is one of its main advantages — it is situated on a main street close to the Opera House, with convenient access to the city center.
However, the hostel is located on the 5th floor of a building without an elevator, which can be difficult, especially if you have luggage.
I stayed in a 10-bed dorm room with a balcony facing the street. The price is around $8 per night per bed, which at first may seem budget-friendly, but for Yerevan it is not particularly cheap, and there are cleaner and better options available at the same or even lower price.
The bunk beds are a major issue. They shake heavily even with the slightest movement — to the point that any small movement from one person significantly disturbs the other. This made resting uncomfortable and interrupted sleep.
The mattresses are relatively soft and acceptable, but the bed sheets, although clean, feel old and worn.
Due to poor ventilation, the dorm room often has an unpleasant smell. In addition, the windows do not block street noise effectively — even when closed, outside noise is clearly audible. If you are sensitive to noise, earplugs are essential.
The bathrooms and toilets are extremely small (approximately 1m × 1m). In the shower, the door opens inward, which makes the already limited space even more difficult to use. There is no place to hang clothes inside the shower. Even for me, as a relatively slim person, taking a shower was quite difficult.

I had a very bad experience at Arm Hostel. During my stay, 1, 000 euros went missing and the issue was never properly addressed or resolved. The behavior of the management and some staff toward guests was inappropriate, and I witnessed several situations where guests were forced to leave despite having paid for their stay.
I had paid for a private room for one month, but I was still kicked out simply because I was playing cards with my friends in the kitchen at 7 p. M. There were also situations where guests were asked to leave their seats while eating so that management could sit there. The rooms often had an unpleasant smell, the bathrooms were very small, and the toilets were frequently very dirty. The hostel is also located on the fifth floor, and since there isn’t convenient elevator access, climbing the stairs is exhausting, especially with luggage. The only positive points of this hostel are its location and relatively low price.
After this experience, I stayed for about two months at Envoy Hostel in the center of Yerevan, and my experience there was completely different. The location makes it easy to access everything you need in the city. Each bed has a reading light and guests are provided with lockers for their belongings. There is a comfortable common area for relaxing, studying, playing games, or even playing guitar, and guests can use the kitchen at any hour. The bathrooms are larger and include space to hang clothes.

I stayed at this hostle for 7days.
Some of stuff behavior was not kind and the manager had drinking problem. Rooms were not clean and lack of saftey forced me to carry my money and documents everywhere. There is no gathering room for guests and you can hang out only in kitchen. If we were cgating in our room stuff kept coming and warning us to keep it down and finally they moved some guys to differebt rooms.
Beds are not comfortable and matrises are soften causing my back hurt.
In general I could say it was the worst experience I ever had in a hustle.
The inly good thing about it was its location which is close to center.

I stayed at the hostel for 5 nights in a deluxe room. I was completely satisfied. I believe that when you book a deluxe room at a hostel, you shouldn't expect the same service as in a 5-star hotel. The location is great in the city center, close to all the sights. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed in December, and the room was warm and there was hot water. There's a kitchen where you can cook, and there are dishes. The contingent of guests is very good: young people from all over the world, everyone is friendly. However, they don't provide robes, slippers, or shampoo; you won't find them anywhere else in hostels.

I stayed at this hotel in November. It's always clean. Dishes are provided and always clean. You can wash your clothes by hand or machine. Laundry hangs outside (which is wonderful! ). The staff speaks a language you understand (they speak several languages). I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. I recommend staying at this hotel, especially since the price is reasonable.

The atmosphere is always friendly, and the staff is always helpful. This isn't our first time staying here, and we hope it won't be our last. The location is perfect, within walking distance of all the sights. There's a supermarket and a bus stop to the airport nearby.
This time, I was surprised by the mess in the shared kitchen, with dirty dishes, but that's ultimately up to the guests. I guess I was unlucky this time.

The location is excellent, right in the center. The cascade is a 7-minute walk away.
The hostel itself is located on the 5th floor of a residential building, and there's no elevator. You have to climb long flights of stairs, which is very tiring. The room is tiny, you can't even fit a suitcase in it (the bathroom with a shower is slightly larger, but hot water is an issue).
The room has a walkway to the bed, a nightstand, a locker, and a balcony. A double bed is all you need. There's no refrigerator in the room. The hostel has a large shared kitchen with one refrigerator, a stove, and a sink for cooking. There are four tables for dining. Alcohol is prohibited in the hostel! The receptionist is helpful and will explain and show you everything, but I would avoid this hostel.

Very central location which is brilliant for a day trip. Room is clean and AC is great. However no lift for 5th floor, plus barely any hot water for shower during our stay. Great value tbh.

Great hostel in the center of Yerevan! Very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. The location is perfect — close to everything you might need. The price is also very reasonable for the quality of service. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for budget-friendly yet comfortable accommodation in Yerevan!

It is located in the center of Yerevan, not far from the Opera and Ballet building, a wonderful view of the balcony, a hospitable from the balcony, and they help every issue. I didn't expect such a good service in Armenia, thinking that Armenia is not such a developed country, but everything has changed when I spent my short vacation in Armenia.
I would like to celebrate Arm Hostel employees to everyone.

To begin with, I have asked for an early check in, 06:00 am, and even though I have rung the bell many times noone was there to open it. Ive slept at least 2.5 h later. Furthermore, as you can see from the dorm photos, the room has no means of redusing the lights from the windows, so every morning, very early we were forced to wake up. Plus there were no lockers for ur luggage etc. And at last, the bathrooms, i’ve never seem so small bathrooms, while exiting it, you get all wet, because its just impossible to fit. Generally, and I am talking ad a experienced person who has been in lots of hostels and hotel rooms, budget or not, I wouldnt recommend it. The only good thing is that its location is central and useful for the tour activities.

I stayed for a month, and I can say without a doubt, this is the best hostel to stay at in Yerevan. All the staff are helpful, friendly, and caring. Everything is clean, it's a very cozy and comfortable place!

Since there were no lockers in the rooms, I often felt under staff control wherever I went or to whom I spoke. It wasn't satisfying, and I had never had such an experience before.

Very centrally located. Otherwise, quite a reasonable backpackers.
Showers rather small and badly organised (no hooks! ).
Small but functional kitchen and a pleasant dining room.
Rooms have balconies over the street which is good.

What I liked was how clean the accommodation was in general. Every morning a lady would clean the rooms, change the bed sheets and even ironing them. Then, the beds were comforable, although a bit of lack of space for the luggage and a curtain between the beds would have been good as well. I think there were many facilities, but I barely used them. Also, there's a few showers with warm water and toilets were clean. Location was just magnificent.
The staircase doesn't end. I remember climbing up the stairs for the first time, all the way to the top, and it was a bit exhausting. Therefore, may you have a terrible condition, or if you're of an older age; think wisely.

Weird, weird place… the staff will literally stare at you all the time, which is odd. You can sit in the kitchen they will walk into the doorway stare at you… You do not feel welcome there at all… not to mention that beds are super uncomfortable… no lockers and to give you a feel what the place is all about — there is a wardrobe in the dorm where some long terms residents put their pots and pans? Wtf…
You can't change in showers as they are tiny…
