Arewa Hostel

Excellent location, great value for money. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. You can leave your luggage if you arrive early or leave late. Excellent Wi-Fi, the kitchen has everything you need, and there's a washing machine.
For the price, everything is perfect.

BEWARE of double private room! We booked a private double through booking. Com and upon arrival were offered a discount if we cancelled our booking through the app and paid directly. We were a little confused but thought alright sure… paid the money and were shown to our room. We now realise it’s so we could not leave a bad review on Booking. Com. Unfortunately the room was very small, had no windows and an AC unit that did not work. The room was very stuffy and hot and when we asked about the AC, the lady said it was broken, she was kind enough to then provide us with a very small fan that did not work very well. We stuck out 3 very sweaty nights on the not very comfortable bed as we didn’t want to make a fuss. There are also people living there permanently and as a result the small kitchen was often messy, dishes piled high and food over the bench, and staff sleeping in a small alcove in the hallway.
It’s a shame to leave a bad review like this as some of the other rooms seemed perfectly fine, with windows and working AC and the bathrooms were clean, however there were only 2 for the whole hostel… not enough!

The location itself is very convenient: it's in the center, within walking distance of all the city's attractions, you don't have to go far! Dirty, stinking hostel! The air conditioning didn't work in such heat! There was no choice where to stay because of the Lopez concert. I was forced to spend the night there, but it was impossible to sleep because of the heat, and in the morning construction work began on the floor above. The workers were sleepy as flies. A disgrace to all Armenian hospitality. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE! Pay a little more and stay in acceptable living conditions!

Location: nearby is a square, cafeteria, and supermarket. Everything is within walking distance for me. The water was both hot and cold. Demand is high, from all over the world. They kept in touch and answered my questions. They didn't let me down, didn't cancel my reservation, and I arrived and checked in. The staff speaks Russian and English. Thank you.
Not all rooms have enough air conditioning, and there was no air conditioning in the lobby, hallway, or kitchen. Guests leave trash and dirty dishes behind. The staff shouldn't clean up after them; this isn't a hotel. You need to respect the work of the people who clean the hostel.

Cozy Hostel within Yerevan City centre. Tidy, organized and homy feeling, everything is available, from cozy sofas to chill to kitchen utensils complete for cooking. Responsive contact person and English speakers. If you are looking for a budget-friendly yet homelike hostel, Areva is for you.

The Hostel staff is exceptionally very nice. Equally the emineties and facilities are above comment. Very Convenient location.

Great Stay with a Friendly Atmosphere!
The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the privacy curtains, and lockers for security. The bathrooms were well-maintained, and there was always hot water.
The location was also a big plus—close to public transport, great cafes, and main attractions. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made it easy to prepare meals.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for solo travelers and anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay with a great vibe! Would definitely stay here again.

Currently on a solo road trip, this is my first time visiting Armenia. I was looking for a hotel close to the city center. I was very well received and the receptionist was very kind.

The hostel has significant issues with noise and management. Guests frequently drink excessively, and the management seems indifferent to the impact this has on others. Even when it disrupts sleep, no action is taken to address the situation.
Facilities are also lacking; there are only two toilets for the entire hostel, often resulting in long waits.
Some long-term residents show little regard for others' comfort, making it difficult to rest due to loud conversations and disruptive behavior late into the night. Unfortunately, management does not step in to enforce any quiet hours or address these disturbances.

Cheap and cheerful, no real feeling of travellers meeting here. Unfortunately I shared a room with a local tramp who smelt and snored allnight in our dorm. Online bookings cheaper than at the actual hostel.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Areva Hostel in Armenia! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The reception staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or requests I had. The manager was fantastic and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay.
The cleanliness of the hostel was impressive—housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything spotless. The shared spaces, especially the kitchen, were well-maintained and fully equipped, making it easy and enjoyable to prepare meals.
Overall, Areva Hostel has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Armenia and will definitely stay here again next time I visit!

A lovely hostel with everything you need. Spotlessly clean due to the hard work of Arus, who has a permanent smile. The receptionist Vanya was too kind and thoughtful. Free lockers! Well equipped kitchen.

Amazing location, amazing staff! The bathrooms are always clean, the only problem would be that we found the sheets a bit smelling, I don’t think they were newly cleaned as we found some hairs on the pillows. The location is great as it is close to the city but the metro passes right under the hostel so at some intervals you will hear that between 6h-23h. The staff was so welcoming and nice to us. Everything went great for a good price!

Great service from the receptionist who took care of us. Hostel is a bit loud with small kitchen and only 2 showers/WC. Nice location. When the receptionist changed the comunication went down fast. Guess, it depends on people as everything :)

This was like a home for me in Yerevan; the place was so comfortable and has everything you need when you travel solo on budget, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I really liked the place that I renewed my stay for a whole week.
