Yes. Decent pub with no TV's. The 3.8% real ale was top notch. My 11 year old liked his burger and chips. Very handy for the tube station.

Relaxed atmosphere and reasonable price drinks.

Was in the city and needed a place to crash whilst waiting to go on for my night shift. It was clean and quiet. Will definitely use again. Right next to the tube station.

It's a great place if you're looking for a few days of cheap stay. The toilets should be cleaned more often and the lockers should have been better, otherwise the place is good. I just tried the coffee in the restaurant on the ground floor and that was pretty good.

The pub is great, with a good selection of beers. I had a farmyard hamburger fo dinner and I can say that is among the best I've ever eaten, they have a very good kitchen. The breakfast is also amazing, with wild mushrooms. The hostel is okay, the bed is comfortable. I would only complain for the noise in the rooms, the windows have to remain opened because of the heat in summer so all the noise from the street makes it a bit difficult to sleep. Overall, very good for a night or two, bring earplugs and enjoy the pub!

We arrived and were seated. I bought a breakfast burger. Hamburger bun, fried shitaki mushroom, 2 fried duck eggs and bacon. Not my first preference but it was what appealed to me most. Dead establishment at the time and when we asked for water the waitress pointed to two jugs of water on the bar. (self serve) "it's right there" she said. Polite enough but seriously? The same applied to ordering. So I walked up to the bar and ordered thinking she was lazy.
I choked down the sandwich as it was awful and we started our day touring London. After about an hour on the hop-on bus I felt cramping in my stomach. Thinking it would pass I didnt think much of it. A few minutes later I felt noxious and we had to disembark the hop-on. I made my way to the McDonalds washroom where I started throwing up and had bad diarrhea and serious cramping. Still feeling awful we went across the street to an old Irish pub. I unfortunately spent the next three hours there with multiple trips to the washroom throwing up and having bad diarrhea. The cramping got so bad at that point that we rushed to the hospital. I was checked out and offered pain medication. Feeling on the road to recovery at that point I declined as my body was starting to bounce back. The day was ruined so we made it back to the flat where I still had diarrhea and threw up in the middle of the night.
The next morning I woke up OK but we lost a while day and night of our 7 day London visit.

Before I got in it looked a friendly pub. Once I entered madness began. Although the pub was almost empty there was a group of drunk guys screaming and dancing making too much mess and disturbing everyone. The staff didn’t care and said nothing to them and because of that they were unfriendly with the rest of the clients. The girl that took my order was everything but nice, she was extremely rude, her English was very poor and she didn’t had any patient. I struggled a lot to understand her… I told her that she didn’t had to speak with those manners, all she said was: “ if want to eat you can stay if not you can leave cause the kitchen is about to close” (the kitchen only closes by 22:00 and I ordered by 21:30…). The food was a disaster on a plate. I ordered a burger and it came burned, the same way than the fries. This place must be extremely desperate, for hiring staff with total lack of skills, professionalism and politeness. They just don’t care. It’s a place to forget that exists. One of the worst pub experiences that I ever had.

The hostel is well. What you need to know is that the rooms are above a well-known bar in Paddington by which to enter the rooms you have to pass by the bar, sometimes full of people. The location is good. A few meters from two stations important of london that connect with the whole city. Circle line and Bakerloo lines. The bad thing of the hostel itself is that there is a common space to interact with other travelers. Only the rooms are distributed in the second and third floor and two bathrooms. The showers are not comfortable because there is no where to support the things. And you can't get out because there is no main door. So that one is obliged to leave on towel if or if. On the other hand I highlight the good vibes of the boys who attend! On all of the italians. Always with a smile and trying to solve problems. The lord makes cleaning quite nastily. The rooms are comfortable and the beds also. Silent. You can't hear the noise from the bar or the street. All of the guests have 10% discount in the bar and 25 % at breakfast. I wish I habilitasen an area common to all. Serious perfect.

Since its renovation it is perfect, clean and convenient 20 meters from the exit of the Metro!

Do not have a kitchen or common areas to hang out besides your bedroom. The toilets were dirty most of the time and, one day, all the showers were out of order. The only positive point is the location next to the underground.

Very well located 10 minutes from Piccadilly. The hostel has brand new bathrooms, the water is super warm and the rooms also. The bad quwven the hallways are alfombrdos and sometimes if it rains hat smell. Except that all very well! There are also Spanish-speaking staff.

The place is good. But as the hostel leaves a lot to be desired. I stayed 2 nights and I had to upload my stuff because none of the locks they wear, as I walked to their lockers, the grace is that you have to buy them, your locks are the only ones that come in.

The rooms are tiny with so many people packed in a tiny, miniscule space. It's boiling hot and the windows do not open at all! I'd booked a night there and was exhausted but I couldn't sleep in that clammy place and choose to wonder the streets of London and wait for McDonald's to open.

Great hostel! We had another hostel the night before and it was terrible. Clean bathrooms, great staff, great location literally right next to the subway and yet it was quiet — the beds were great and the blankets thick and soft — couldn’t find a fault — one of the bathrooms got messy during the night but that was due to the guests and not the establishment.

Hostel — everything was clean and staff were very nice. Also, good number of toilets/washrooms so there is no waiting for anything. The room was a bit too small for 6 people, and if anybody moves the beds were super noisy. Room arrangement could be better too. Bar — burgers are very good and especially the cheese inside. The meat was so-so, a bit dry and overcooked. Also fries and hash-browns were ok.

Spent a few nights in the hostel. Great value for price. Very friendly staff, great roommates.

The pub is on top, and the amazing chef! Try his famous burger with a good homemade beer. The adjoining hostel is not too bad. It's enough to go home to sleep at night. Good experience, and top to meet other travelers!

If you're looking for a clean place to sleep and are interested in London drinks and pub culture, this is a good place to start out. However, clean ends when you enter the washing rooms and toilets (hairs everywhere and toilets that look like Armageddon). Plus: the unisex washing room with 3 shower cabinets does not have a door. You should also not be afraid of heights because you might get the top of a three stories bunkbed. We didn't go for the brunch. The veggie burger with breaded goat cheese was awesome. The staff is very friendly. If you're looking for hostel atmosphere and want to connect with other travellers this is not the right place. There's no common area and our room mates were quiet like fish. Not even a simple hello or goodbye. The luggage room is catastrophic. It's not locked so basically anyone can sneak down there and just take stuff which unfortunately happened to us. My boyfriend's backpack was nicked on our last day (I hope karma kicks in and an angry badger mauls that gutless thief right in the privates)! Staff seems not that very helpful here. They say they have surveillance but only the manager knows how to operate it. We left them a paper with our contact information and sent two mails already. No reaction. Could at least tell us they didn't find it and couldn't identify anyone. It's as good as it gets for the price you pay especially if you're staying just a few nights but I wouldn't go there again.

Absolutely rubbish! No customer service at all. Pre booked and paid ahead and didn’t get the service expected. Due to some other customer checking in prior. Very disappointed, had to go elsewhere for a more professional service. No refund.

Great staff, always willing to answer questions and help in any way. Super friendly. The rooms are clean and the toilets and showers are cleaned by staff every morning. The food is good and you get discounts as a guest. Definitely will be coming back here if I return to london. The location is cute and cozy. Very convenient.

The best hostel in London I've stayed in by far with great location next to tube station. It's clean with spacious rooms that are homely looking and modern. The staff are amazing, always happy and friendly with excellent customer service. Also the food is delicious which is reflected in how busy the establishment is during lunch and dinner time periods.

Lovely setup, reasonable staff, decent location. Strong sound isolation between pub and hostel. Good find. Freddie, Jan, and Gemma all deserve a prize.

Burger craft being excellent as always. Can't beat 28 day dry aged beef. Excellent atmosphere, great for chilling with a group.

Great staff and attitude (but more on this soon) and facilities, management, etc. Clean, quiet, fun. Location is alright but I personally didn't love it. I'd give really 4 or even 5 stars if not for the inconsiderate cleaning crew who seem to be out of control when it comes to disposing of things in the rubbish. I watched them pick up and throw out a stack of namecards from the windowsill and I'm missing a notebook.

My sister and I stayed for 4 nights, and we had a great time! We found the room clean, the bathrooms were pretty clean too; The staff was amazing, so kind and always ready to help in case we needed it. Food was great too! We're definitely coming back, next time we'll be in London! :)

They had closed the kitchen just before we arrived but opened it back up for us which was a wonderful surprise! The burgers were fantastic and the mac and cheese too. The staff were super friendly too.

Great location next to the underground station exit, friendly staff. Rooms packed full, but clean sheets. Toilet needed a clean. Breakfast included was appreciated. Would visit again, bargain price!

As someone mentioned before, you pay cheap, you get cheap. The hostel was OK, for the price. They serve free breakfast, they are close to the center (2stations from Marble Arch) and the staff was friendly and helpful. However the floor of the shared room was filthy, the room stank like a gym, it was overcrowded and once or twice the showers had only boiling hot water. The Wi-Fi also didnt work properly (neither on my phone, nor my GFs) If you are young, dont care about crowded rooms and noise, it is OK. I might be too old for hostels though…

The worst experience I have ever made with a hostel. Rude staff. Super dirty bathrooms. Rooms full of parasites (ranging from bed bugs to mice). I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay there.

I had a pleasent stay here. I stayed in a 4 bed room. With 2 of my mates. Was very good.

Worst ever experience! I booked a double room about 4 (four! ) weeks before and when I went there we were not on the list! And obviously all the rooms were full. No one help us too much because phone and Internet (! ) does not work. We waiting there for more than one hour and no one offer to us a single drink just for say sorry.

I was in London for a last minute trip/opportunity it was difficult to find an affordable place to stay and this came up. Stayed here a week ago and it was absolutely terrible. I was there to check in at 2 pm as there was 2 people in front of me I waited. It took forever, I didn't get up to my dorm until 2:45 pm. The receptionist wasn't particularly helpful and she may have been a new start but it didn't seem like she had a clue about what she was doing, couldn't tell the difference between ground floor and first floor. The hostel uses a stupid pin code system to get in and out of the hostel area via the pub, both codes written on a silly slip of paper. One code for entrance via the pub, another to enter the dorm. The dorm pin/lock was faulty half the time and the other half the snib was up so anyone could enter the bedrooms as they pleased. The dorm was horrible. The carpet looked like it hadn't seen a hoover since it was laid down. Hardly any sockets to charge the phones near your allocated bed. The bed I was allocated looked like it had been slept in and there was a soggy towel on it which I wasn't pleased about so I requested the bed be remade. The shower rooms were tiny (if you have claustrophobia this will be an issue) and looked like they needed updated. There was mold on the shower door. The hallway was grubby and the carpet was just like the dorm room, not hoovered. I left the hostel with 4 bedbug bites on my collar bone area and more on my legs.

The Green Man is a very good hostel! The staff is very cool, bathroom are clean, bedrooms and beds are very good too, and finally the hostel is perfectly placed, If you are here to look for a job or for holidays, I recommend you that hostel! Furthermore, the live music on Thursday and the DJ set on Friday are very nice, so don't hesitate ;).

Everything was great! Very-very-very good location, in 15 seconds from Edgware Road (Bakerloo line) station, 10 minutes to the centre of London, Piccadily circus. Friendly stuff, clean rooms, shower with hot water at every floor, house keepers cleaning everything everyday. By the way, this was a surprise for me, but bed was sooo comfortable. Also good prices and atmosphere in the pub. If you will go from hostel to the right — you will find Sainsbury's and lot of cheap fast foods. This was my first travel to London and this was great! Thanx to all staff.

Great hostel for location, food and beverage serving pub, cleaning rooms and a staff really excellent throughout, in which stands out the redhead Jessica and veteran Antonio pub.

As everyone says the staff are very helpful, and there's always lots of buzz in the bar. Great for young people. For me personally, an older fella, the downsides were: — Wi-Fi didn't work for my Mac (cost me £70 checkin fee from Ryanair) — no kitchen facilities — no quiet lounge-type space.

Main Pros: — Super comfy beds — Lockers in rooms — Above a pub with delicious food and awesome alcohol — Free Wi-Fi — Really friendly and helpful staff — Central, convenient location close to three stations (though one wasn't functioning when I visited in November) — Free breakfast — Live music on Thursdays Cons — No cooking facilities I would definitely recommend the Green Man and intend to stay there again next time I'm in London. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the place is cosy and comfortable. Great place.
