Clean, helpful great location. Breakfast is only continental, well laid out and a good selection. You have to upgrade for full English, which is a bit misleading.

The hotel is next to Hide Park and is perfect to spend a day in the morning over there. The room had a very large and comfortable bed and the bathroom was great although the upkeep was not perfect it was nice. Very friendly service, but on arrival they ask for a bail of £50 that I did not read anywhere that requested. The experience has been, in general, very satisfactory.

A hotel consisting of a number of rows of houses. The façade is impressed by the white columns. Our booked rooms did not exist, but an upgrade for a suite with a free breakfast.
As a family, it came to us quite right, but can not actually be. Maybe two couples didn't feel so comfortable.
The neighborhood was good, but there was no elevator in our area and we had to go over fairly steep stairs on the 2nd floor. Noises were plentiful at night. Geglucker of water, refrigerator and voice murmurs. We've been better accustomed, but even worse. £100 have been debited for security reasons. We had a torn pillow complained on a sofa bed. A faucet in the bathroom was leaking and dribbled a small lake on the floor. The shower soaked the bathroom door, which bummed something there. The carpet was spotty. In the 4 days there was no housekeeping service in the room. All in all, however, London was the destination, our hotel only means to an end.

Well but the condition of the room was mediocre.

We didn't do it either, you had to pay $5 for the adaptor, the receptionist a total edge, and for breakfast something hot 8, $75 each day, or that were the only hotel in the country.

We were very upset on the first day of arrival as we were given a room with two beds instead of a marriage, we touched on the. "Older area" of the hotel and the truth is that we were very disappointed as on the web we had seen very nice and new rooms. The carpet, the bathroom, the furniture… They were dirty and the kettle did not open it. For a moment we thought our vacations were going to be a nightmare. The bellboy that accompanied us to the habitació we together the beds kindly and apologize for the situation, the next morning we headed to the front desk to see if we could give a habítacion with double bed, something better H cleaner. We were attended by two very friendly guys who in the twinkling of an eye assigned us a new room of which we are satisfied.
The hotel does not stop being old, noisy and a little bit of cleanliness. But this new room has the cleaning service much better as every day we changed the sheets, the towels and dedicatedly ordered us.
If I had the chance to return I think I would choose something more central yet that was more expensive as for me in Spain this hotel would not be 4 stars but two. But for a few days on plan quick visit is not bad. The breakfast option was not recommended as it is something out of the way, toasted with coffee or juice and some cold cuts, there are many other places that by the same or inferior price you offer a good breakfast.
The attention has been correct but not the holiday hotel I was expecting.

When you arrive it looks really nice. And when you get to your too. It looks a Littleton down the location is convenient for the tube and is very quiet for centre London near Oxford street. The staff overall where friendly apart from one on check out bordering scarcastic, we still don't understand today why. Eastern European girl.

The hotel is well located but the staff is very unfriendly and does not deal with the customer satisfaction. To us one night we did not make the room and were limited to apologies because they lacked staff… we had to claim to get pus ieran at least clean towels… and in return did not have the slightest detail… that yes charge you 100 pounds in advance for If you break something they do not forget… Not good.

4 star hotel with comfort and a three star rate.
The rooms are well in English style, the hotel is a maze all in a lot of charm.
It is well located in a quiet area close to Hyde Park and 500 metres from the Metro.
And a 20 minute walk from the city center.

Seems like an ok hotel. More like lots of separate apartments. The area I'd quite quiet and off the main street. Really close to Hyde park and a short walk from queensway. The apartment was nice and good value. The kitchen was missing a lot of utensils also didn't have a non stick pan.

Good location that is close to Hyde Park, inviting entrance, service was not what I'd expect for the price, our reservation was messed up and provided no apology. Booked the executive room, it was nice. If the room was standard, the decor is very out dated, expected more for the price, surfaces in the bathroom were scratched, bedroom was clean. However sheets were Not, brown stains that looked like dried blood. Blanket on Bed had dark circle stains, I don't want to know what that was and Tv had a tendency to turn on early AM by it's self. (They should reset TV settings) Lastly the radiator could not be turned up high, or it would make an unbearable high pitched noise. I would not recommend staying here and would never again, I'd rather spend a little more and get a service worth the money.

The highlight is definitely the location, very central, 4 minutes from the Central line stop of Lancaster Gate, and 10 from the Circle/District Line, the rooms I tried both the suite and the double, and honestly I found myself better in the double, comfortable, heated, large bed and quite comfortable, and the staff always present is friendly, I could go back not recommend it.

First time over the pond and we ended up here. We checked in really late. They were accommodating after a really long trip from the airport. Checked in and they upgraded us to a room that seemed like it was off the beaten path. It was quite beautiful. Tall ceilings, two monster windows that opened to Lancaster gate and a small balcony. The room was simple. Big bed, great flow of water in the bathroom. All the other reviews say small corridors (true) and small rooms. Well our room was big and open. It was close to three tube stations, shopping and Hyde Park. Loved the location, the staff were nicely dressed, accommodating, friendly and right on top of things when requested. We will stay again. Hopefully the same room!

For what you pay it's pretty good value. Friendly staff. Still waiting on the deposit (2 days later, expect 5 day delay). Room was small but practical. Good location for central London.

The receptionist, young people, speak nothing but English, for me it was no problem.
I stayed in a single room enough for me but the toilet too small. I arrived and had no towels, but it was next to the towel room and I agencié two. And on Sunday they didn't make the room, despite hanging the sign and returning 10 hours later.
By the way to climb there is no direct lift. You have to go up to 6 for example and go down to the 4 walk, as it happened to me.
Too carpeted.
The exit of the hotel perfect, also left the suitcase there for 7 hours without me anything, which is to be appreciated.

Last minute booking, bed was dirty looked like it had blood on the quilt but they just put the sheets over it. I would have complained but it was very late and I was very tired after driving.

Well situated close to Kensington Park, the room is small and the bathroom tiny. However the average price for our 2 night stay was around 67 pounds which is great for a bank holiday weekend and the Notting hill carnival. If you are spending more or want a more luxurious experience you may be disappointed — I am not sure what constitutes a 4 star hotel but I would suggest this should be a 3 — but I would stay there again and use the money saved to do something fun. Staff were nice and helpful, the hotel was only doing breakfast (we ate out though) but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Hotel is older, carpets are worn, has the smallest elevator I've ever been in. There, that's the bad part. The good: the service has been excellent and kind, the bed is very comfortable, great shower. If you know what a European hotel is like and aren't expecting American luxury, you'll do fine.

Nice staff. Old and outdated room. The first room we got was tiny and kind of gross, and was not clean at all with hair and stains on the bed. We complained and was told that this was a problem they had and offered us another room. The second room was much better, however the sheets had not been changed a single time the 4 nights we stayed here… absolutely not a 4 star hotel.

BAD Wi-Fi! You can barely make a phone. Outdated. Old. Front desk talks to you like a child telling you about the security deposit. Nice exterior.

I do not understand that a 4 star hotel has rooms in the basement and no windows to the street. I do not understand how a 4 star hotel has such small rooms, the distance from the feet of the bed to the wall was 30 cm approx. I do not understand how a 4 star hotel has a bathroom so small that you can sit in the toilet, with your feet in the shower and at the same time brushing your teeth. I do not understand as a 4 star hotel, at reception they do not know languages. I don't understand how a 4 star hotel has such a noisy room. If you don't get exhausted, you don't sleep. Come on … not to return!

Very good hotel, clean and not too expensive.

Very small room, minimum service in regards to the reception and far from the Metro. To avoid.

The location is great and near a Lancaster Gate tube stop (5 mins walk) and opposite the park gate. This means you have access to any place in in London by the tube but also you can walk to some of the landmarks (Museum of Nat. History, Victoria and Albert etc) by a 15 to 30 min walk through the park. If you are fitness minded you can have some excellent runs in the park too. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and breakfasts is pretty decent. The building on the other hand is an old Edwardian style with not much free space, narrow ails and small rooms and reception area. It is priced well and all in all the experience is good value for money.

Parquet creaking, room a bit cold and not big choice at the buffet breakfast.

This is a hotel that often offers great views from location just a few minutes walk from the Metro.
and located in a beautiful Georgian-style residential area in front of Hyde Park at the height of Victoria gate. The rooms were renovated a few years ago and are very basic but the same clean and discreetly comfortable. In the center of course you have to take into account the price you pay to be in the centre of London. Good value for money.

Terrible greeting experience! Cold, uncooperative staff, room not ready until 2:00 pm, so "sit over there". Won't help you with small taxi payment but happily charge credit card $75 for "incidentals" with no guarantee of return and direct you to walk in the rain a quarter mile to get taxi fare. Most unfriendly and unhelpful check-in experience I have ever had. Would likely get a friendlier and more helpful greeting entering prison. Charming hotel decor is wrecked by staff and let-the-customers-beware policy!

Very good location, at only a few meters from Hyde Park. The rooms are simple and rather small, but very comfortable. The service is excellent.

Very poor stay here. The room was really filthy, stank of cigarettes, dirty (and in places rotting) carpet, loose bathroom tiles with water squelching up between them, broken air conditioning, and to top it all off a false fire alarm at 2am which was poorly handled by staff with no apology offered for any aspect of the stay. There are much better hotels in the same price range and similar location, and I would strongly advise you to stay elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I stayed there a few nights when we got there, the waitress was very warm and helpful. However, the next day, I found out that they charged us twice for the room price, the front Desk guy didn't know what, don't help, and finally use a lot of minutes, from the top down a cute Asian dude nailed it. This caused us a lot of inconvenience, but no one told us a word of sorry.

The hotel makes a nice impression from the outside. Make sure however to get a room in the basement, the view is obviously not the best. What is however really disturbing is that come at night loud buzzing noise coming from the ceiling. The room is typical English, slightly older, but in relatively good condition. The general cleanliness of the room was fine. The breakfast is English, the choice is however not very large.

Misleading appearance upon booking the hotel. It is shabby and outdated, the carpets are dirty and ancient, the walls are filthy. The room was adequate size, reasonably clean however I found numerous black hairs all over the bed. However consierge was polite and welcoming, bed reasonably comfortable and for pricing and placement, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Shabby hotel. Rude staff. Everything in there seems like it is falling apart. We are greeted by a not very well-groomed concierge who didn't even look at us while talking to us. Later, a different receptionist only gave us our breakfast vouchers after we asked for them. Another staff member showed us the way to the elevator while letting me carry three bags by myself — he walked us there with his hands empty. After using the remarkably tiny elevator (try using that one in rush hour…), we enterd a room with torn carpets, stains on the walls, and a very shabby looking headrest on the bed. The bathroom had fossil tabs, two (! ) broken paper dispensers, no hairdryer, a broken clothes hook and overall, the bathroom must have been built for mice — judging by the size of it. There was not a square meter in our room that didn't have a crack or a rip of some sort. I get the charm of vintage — this was not vintage anymore, it was shabby. At least, the breakfast was okay and the rooms were clean. That feeling, when you are so overwhelmed by the shabbiness of a four star hotel so you feel that any complaining would be a waste of time.

Great service, plus it is cheap and with an excellent location.

We stayed here for a one night break away last minute. We arrived and were told that we had been upgraded which entitled them to cancel our £30 breakfast despite us paying for it. The online pictures made the hotel look updated and modern with vintage chic. We were extremely disappointed to find out that we had a dark and dingy room with a great view of a building with a rickety 4 poster bed that shook when you moved. Very outdated and stuffy. Staff were awful and could not even get our names right, never asked how our stay was and only offered to carry our bags up when we had already started to walk up the stairs. No where near enough milk for more than one cup each. Receptionist extremely rude and unprofessional. Never ever staying here again not even if I was paid to. Day light robbery and would never recommend EVER!

Please read the reviews on Trip Adviser, the reviews on here are fake! I booked this hotel last minute as I wanted to spend the night away with my husband, this was the biggest mistake ever!. Please listen to the reviews and DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This hotel was dirty, hair everywhere, this were broken on the room, moths flying around, stains on the carpet, mould on the pictures in the room and a broken shower spraying in every direction. This hotel should be reported as they had poor service and dirty rooms, the staff didn't even tell us were to go but were quick to take our money, appalling! When I was leaving the lady at the reception didn't even ask me how was my stay.

Wi-Fi is soooooo slow. When will hotels realise this is essential for travelling on business? Room fine for price.

The single room is fairly large with a large bed and a desk. The bathroom had enough space and a tube inside. The staff is helpful and there is one computer near the reception with the internet access free to use. The lift of the building is unexpectedly small though.

Facilities were a bit outdated but the staff were very good and the location is great. The room was very clean and smelled good. Best to stay but not a great place to hang out.

When we we got to the hotel (party of three: two adults, one teenager) we were informed that we received an upgrade to one of their apartments. This was a few doors down. The apartment was spacious and well situated in a quiet corner right across the north side of Hyde Park. The furnishings were nice, but a bit 'cheap'; nothing to complain about, though. Our only gripe was that during the entire weekend they did not manage to get the 'free Wi-Fi' working; a poor showing in a time when this should be a no-brainer.

Awesome Hotel — Beautiful Rooms. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Location right next to hyde park. Paddington and bayswater at foot steps.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and had a great experience. The price was decent and the breakfast very good (though need more cinnamon rolls! ). The hotel is very well situated in London and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Overall a great stay, I recommend the hotel.

Loud noisy, not 4 star, cold unfriendly staff. Always asking if you are OK as in "What the hell are you doing here? " The two females a the front desk could be Nazi female guards in a concentration camp. Any time I asked a simple question they gave a look like, why the hell are you bothering us! I had breakfast in their downstairs war like bunker and they sat me in cramped quarters next to some Muslim singing something to his ugly wife that paid no attention and kept banging on her mobile phone. I was on the ground floor with a noisy family with kids that ran around and made noise day and night. Too overpriced for this aggravation. Cleaning is a minimum. After 5 PM when I went to the front desk to ask why my room was not attended, a half hour late a cleaning girl knocked and asked if I wanted my room cleaned. I said sarcastically with little patience left: "No I'm trying to get in the Guinness Book of Records for having the dirtiest room in all of London. The silly sods! The front desk staff are like robots. Never again sez I.

Great and silent location. Clean and confortable room. Nice continental breakfast. Free Wi-Fi available. Buses and subway station only few steps away. I would stay there again.

My opinion is similar to the Terry, the hotel is not a 4 star hotel in Spain either. Me perished little clean and did not change sheets daily. However the price was not 4 star.
I think like Terry. The hotel they chaged the sheet daily didn´t muy wasn´t. Also very noisy.
